i just thought of something. What if we're looking at it wrong and keep saying the kid is the illusion and not going further. What if we look at it as the kid is harbinger controlling the fighter which is Shepard himself. 

There are some coincidential things in the vid. A lady bug and a sunflower - symbiosis.  Three fighters- three choices.

The Purgatory thing is a joke... it just means the club is 'naughty'... might even be a part of the marketing for the place, by inferring that it's 'unauthorised' and 'edgy'...

i take it from the literal meaning behind the word, but when you look it up it has lots of meanings depending on context or cultures:

Mostly just some connections flaring between the ME3 beam overlook scene, and ME2 promo shots of Shepard and team looking up at the landed Collector Cruiser on Horizon, and a shot of Vega and team looking up at another landed Collector Cruiser in the upcoming anime series.

They are all very similar - a large towering structure with a central beam of light, and a small group of people looking up at it in awe.

I was just thinking about all the baby dramas from BSG and how the synthetics so desperately wanted to reproduce the way organics could, wonder if that works into the Reaper stuff and their whole deal with harvesting everybody. Indeed.  In a way they are like the Forsaken from World of Warcraft - they can't reproduce, they can only turn the recently deceased and be convinced that joining them is the right thing to do.  They make out that its a great choice, and that they are fair and kind for offering it, and the Forsaken deserve life as much as anyone else and are mistreated for being 'undead'.

When in reality they are probably the ones who killed the risen, and if you refuse their offer they'll kill you again and make sure you don't rerise.  Or they'll flat out mind control your corpse and turn you into a slave.

Not exactly the same, but their morals are similar in their ease of deconstruction.

Interesting! They look... well they look like they would be attractive to a turian. I'd imagine humans looks strange to them too. Anyway, I'll be playing Halo 4 soon, so I'll be here less. I won't leave, but I can't understate how awesome it's been speculating with you all!

I like it. It doesn't look human (other than the fact that it's a Biped), it isn't human attractive (thank god) but I can totally see why Turians would go for it and it's very alien.

So yeah, I reckon it's quite cool.
