TIM was interesting... the video logs show him saying to the effect of "Shepard is keeping the Reapers busy while we do our experiments."
and "No. (don't kill Shepard) I'm not writing Shepard off as a total loss yet."
IF the ending is an illusion formed from:
-Shepard's memories
-Shepard's conceptions of how things 'should be', or his hopes (especially with the ending slides..)
-a representation of fighting his indoctrination internally...
Then TIM is still alive and he really *is* off galavanting somewhere else in the galaxy.
He hacks the Prothian VI, and leaves it in his office to lead Shepard to the Citadel. Yet, he also alerts the Reapers to protect the Citadel (maybe this part gets illuminated with DLC tho) and bring it to Earth.
Basically, what I'm saying, is that TIM might be manipulating both Shepard and the Reapers in the ending, in his own way. (This is of course, like always, assuming that the ending of ME3 isn't the true ending to the Mass Effect 3 story, ha)

I know but still, I like being surprised in gameplay
There's two main themes from the responces:
1/ Ew, that's gross!
2/ Wow, that's hot!
Seemingly no middle ground. Everyone seems agreed that its very well done, though, and looks suitably alien still.
I think they tried too hard to make her look cute. She's not gross, and she's not hot. She basically looks as cute as a freaky dinosaur bird lady can look.
It's mostly the mouth and eyes that do that.

Flowers was awesome! And hilarious! Made perfect sense to me.
I was initially unhappy with Halo 4's look, but they used the final build in this episode, and I think it looks good.
The 17 minute thing was disappointing, I agree
Oh dear god please tell me you're kidding.
Literally the only thing I was thinking as I was watching the Halo 4 part was "It looks even more ridiculous than the voting musical did. At least its only beta, and will look better when they actually start using the retail game for next season."
Dont tell me you're taking away the only thing that gave me hope that I would like the new look.

Theres a lot of stuff I havent gotten around to putting up there yet. Mostly due to the fact that I like to watch the videos first, and I dont exactly have time to watch very long videos right now. I need to get around to it, though.

I applaud Bioware then, so far it sounds better than the korgan female feedback they got.

Well, to be fair, I won't know for another 2 hours and 20 minutes, plus return travel time. I'm assuming that because it looks different than all other videos of Halo 4 I've seen so far.

See, I'm assuming its the beta, because they've had this episode made for a while now, considering my DVD boxset shipped 3 days ago, and it takes them months to put together the DVDs, so its not like they only just made this episode. It had to have been done a long time ago.

That's true. I guess we'll see then. I do agree it could look better though.
Also, I totally thought the Director could be 'Lina's father back in season 9.

Actually I think it's the Citadel that would truly be the big reveal. The Citadel is the object capable of dark energy manipulation, and the Crucible is essentially just a power device with targeting schematics.Wayning_Star wrote...
I think the crucible is the mystery here, and it's actual designers. The ones who programmed the choices. Without those entities being fully explored, its too easy to run speculation rampent. There are very few fans/humans in realtime, that actually can get behind the choices because of that gap in information. Users have no way to understand those choices because they have no way understand them, or in other words 'identify' with them.
With indoctrination/illusion, there is no viable way to describe the magic trick from this perspective, so it ends up a no holds barred scenerio, and any kind of reality replaces the actual series of events up to the point of decisions. IT folks take that as the empty space to rewrite history to meet the theory.
While the sabotage of the previous Crucible design was done by 'a splinter group who wanted to Control the Reapers', I think the mystery of the endings (if they are to be taken even remotely literally) will come down to an explanation of what the Citadel is. I'm not one for being big on DLC reveals, but maybe Omega will reveal something about the nature of the Citadel (or the Crucible) if it tunrs out to be a construction of similar design.
The Codex description of 'PROCESSOR' in the Reaper archive could give us a clue... it is certainly applicable to the Citadel at the end (even if it is not actually the case)...
Leviathan - Reapers
Omega - Crucible
??? - Citadel
Final -
Leviathan - Reapers
Omega - Crucible
??? - Citadel
Final - Indoctrination Climax?

This is somewhat related to RvB, since the trailer was at the end of the episode, but I must have that one girl's scythe.
Also, next time BioWare decides to do an animated movie, they need to hire Monty.

Just thinking about the lost touch with reality Shepard could be having if he really is being indoctrinated. I think of Eternal Darkness the GameCube game.
Eternal Darkness All Sanity Effects
While this game has some rather obvious, there are some that just are not as obvious. The intention is to have the player feel what the character is going through BioWare loves to provide things that are fairly nondescript but what if they programmed some on purpose to achieve some of the same results? Just the more obvious glitches. I'm thinking of why would they do a wonderful job with background art, character design, everything but then forget some small detail that stands out that you just can't avoid seeing?

Are people really leaving? Or are they going off to play a different game for a while?

Masster... I don't think anyone's leaving. I'm leaving to the Halo 4 launch tonight, that's all the leaving I'm doing. I'm certainly not leaving this thread, and I'll still be playing ME regularly. Just instead of my time being split between ME3 and BF3, I'll be adding Halo 4 into that.
I really don't think anyone's leaving.
