I don't know if that's what causes it but come to think of it that is the one convo I missed with him where he said he'd go live with the Hanar.Rifneno wrote...
Just a guess, but do you go and solve that little tiff he and Liara have in Grunt's room after Thessia? He seems to gain a measure of respect for her in that. Perhaps if you don't do that, he doesn't gain that respect for her and doesn't want to help her with the book?

I showed him the shard and he didn't die. How are you getting to the conclusion that he dies by showing him the shard?
He implies he's going to end his life next to the "graves" of his fallen Prothean squadmates on whatever planet he killed/buried them on. The conversation happens at the London base. Unless I'm remembering that wrong...

Must have heard him wrong. Thought I was hearing how he was a noble warrior and was going to find a way to finally put the dead ghosts to rest, didn't think he meant himself

Anyone know how I get Javik to write the book with Liara? Do I have to not have the convo with him at all?
-Have a good Liara/Javik resolution conversation after Thessia (if you skip the confrontation between them, you can't get the Liara book outcome)
-And don't access the Memory Shard
And there ya go. If you don't do the Liara/Javik confrontation, Javik instead wants to.. be the king of the Hanar

No, because after Thessia was his fight with Liara.CmdrShep80 wrote...
Actually I think it was because I wanted to know what was in the shard too. Don't think I could undo it. It was after Priority Thessia right?

It seems there are many different ways for that conversation to go down.demersel wrote...
I thought that talking to him on the citadel it fixes that even when you look into the shard - In my playthrough he says that he'll go see the galaxy after the reapers are done with, and that i gave him a new perspective on life..... Or did i do everything wrong?

And he also said that he is looking forward to finding out what peace feels like.

I don't think it's a "good" thing, but note quite a bad thing either, more like a final act ... An end to the last Prothean (future DLC pending) the way he wants to go, with the rest of his species. IF the game still isn't over (IT or otherwise), then I'm sure there's a way for Shepard to convince him to continue living, maybe to "teach the young".

There is already such a way - it happened in my playthrough.

The visit to the Citadel? Yeah, but that's pre-London and pre-"I'm going to end my life with my comrades" convo.

I wasent either at start, but he kinda grew on me as he talked about what he had been through + it is interesting to see just who the Protheans were. Only thing which always put me off on him was his AI hatred.

Sovereign. It's right above me. I also heard a bit of a humming noise. Not really a mechanical whirring noise from gears moving or anything. Noise is probably just standard Reaper noises.

This texture is found in the room with TIM and Anderson. I thought it looked familiar.

The *real* Citadel control panel located in the Council Chambers, not where Shepard was. Seconds later, Hackett mentions the Citadel arms were opening.

Close up shot of the real control panel.

The conversation in London changes depending on if you make Javik view the memory shard or not.
If he views it you get the "lay myself to rest" conversation while not having him view the shard gets the "see the galaxy with my own eyes" conversation.

Just wait for Marauder Shields. Or maybe about him being the hardest enemy in the game was probably just a joke.
