Ugh, wow, that final bumrush by Reaper forces before the beam run is truly insane in Insanity mode 0_0

I only barely survived. Friggin brutes, banshees everywhere.

Just wait for Marauder Shields. Or maybe about him being the hardest enemy in the game was probably just a joke.

Got him on second try :)

Yay, Insanity Achievement for me now! :D

Ok, Starbrat certainly must be Harbinger.

Did you notice insane difficulty spikes at turret sections on insanity? It is as if they forgot to balance those.

It's crazy - I actually found myself drifting off into 'ok, maybe this is literally happening in the story' land..

Only to be occasionally jolted awake by a strange detail, VERY off acting by Shepard, etc.

If we're supposed to take this stuff literally, still, somehow, bye Bioware.

You don't just add the same 'bright light transition' (the dreams, the beam run, the Catalyst) , submissive body language (Shepard on his knees), and so on, without good reason.

Thinking on the FB: Vancouver "easter eggs" now that we've had a halloween event.

If the jack-o-lantern was the hint for the halloween event, and having to pumpkins as objectives, does that mean we'll have christmas presents and heart-shaped box of candies to retrieve/find/protect on those corresponding holidays for events?

If so what the hell is that Strawberry Chocolate Cake for??

N7 day maybe? They do have some MP challenges planned apparently.

Also is anyone else having issues downloading the latest ME3 patch on Origin?

If we end up having to defend/find/retreive chocolate cakes tomorrow... I am just gonna geek out at finally knowing what the clue was for.

And my Origin finished downloading it before I even noticed it was doing it. Maybe there's an issue with your connection?

Y'know what I've never asked?

Why are there so many rectangular concrete pillars in London (the rubble), are they that widely used?

If so, it's a lot funnier joke than "marauder shields".

Compared to the job Fagnan is doing, they did a spectacular job tuning SP.

Makes infinitely more sense than that "secret DLC schedule" theory that was going around.

Could still be an MP DLC schedule for all we know, though minus Retaliation, I'm not sure if they have enough content to release for that many holiday months...

Odd hints though. Friggin strawberry cake.

Ah, cover, that makes more sense than what I was thinking. Not that I don't think there'd be plenty of rubble in a city the Reapers are "up to something" in. Or a city they're up to anything in for that matter.

Not much going on right now...
Although we have a female turian (so, the Kasumi-Theory seems to have been debunked), a few interesting scenes (Phantom on the Normandy {are you sure that it is the Normandy??} and guys working on the Rio map) and N7-day coming soon.
Any thoughts?

So I noticed this bit in Shepard's conversation with Sovereign...

Shepard: You're not even alive. Not really. You're just a machine, and machines can be broken!
Sovereign: Your words are as empty as your future. I am the vanguard of your destruction. This exchange is over.

This seems to disprove the idea that was floating around that the Rannoch Reaper died because Shepard told it that it was dead. He pretty much told Sovereign the same thing, and Sovereign just got offended and came to omnimurder him. Not that I was ever a fan of the idea (of all the "kill the Reapers" schemes we've hatched, screaming "you guys are all dead!" was particularly anticlimatic), I'm pretty sure it was just a nice way for Shepard to lay the verbal smackdown on the Reaper and get the last, and best, word in.

Agreed.  There is a lot in the ME games that is subtly-written and points to bigger ideas, but imo these exchanges with Reapers about 'who's gonna win', like the one highlighted above, are little more than smack-talk

Rannoch Reaper exchange might as well be:

Shep: *Grabs crotch*  **** please, yo mama's so fat you could get all those gagillions of piddly-ass suckers up in that synthesised brain o yours to hold hands in one big galactic circle, and she STILL wouldn't fit in the middle...

Reaper: Yo mama... damn it... *dies*

Shepard and Sovereign have nothing on the BM of Harbinger:

Harbinger: "Turian, you were considered..."
Garrus: :)
Harbinger: "Too Primitive"
Garrus: :(
Harbinger: "This Hurts You"

The Minos Wasteland lighting up glitch did not happen at all on my last playthrough, by the way. Could it be they patched it?

Strange...

I did two run throughs of Mass Effect 3 and the only difference I choose between the two playthroughs regarding Javik was the Shard and it altered the dialogue.

The *real* Citadel control panel located in the Council Chambers, not where Shepard was. Seconds later, Hackett mentions the Citadel arms were opening.

Close up shot of the real control panel.

Yes, from ME1 which we never see in ME2 and in ME3 nothing like that exists. Everything is different. I always thought it was because of the destruction of the station as well as the reality that in ME1 they made things way too big. It caused loading issues for me. I couldn't run through certain areas without having loading issues. In ME2 they changed the scale to a reasonable size. But I think that panel was destroyed when sovereign takes over. Remember how it all smashed to that lower level where you fight him? And we never see anything even remotely resembling it in ME3. The closest we get is the hallucination, but even then it's not really at all like it because of the whole path to geth there and opening the arms gives that view which was never there during ME1 with open arms. Essentially, we don't even know where the control panel is anymore because they changed the citadel so much each time. There isn't one speck of it beyond the loading images that loos similar.

@magnetite - you know there's a lot of people that didn't play ME1 who wouldn't know the details you posted about in particular the control panel and where it is.

Though, we know there's also a secret control panel hidden deep within the Citadel that the Keepers use and maintain so one is a front to gather races to the Citadel. The other, the RePers use via the Keepers to harvest them and we'll close the trap
