Apart from that it looks like it might be another You-tube job for me. How about you guys?

Same here. I've got a BW points card for two normal DLC and I do not intend to spend more on ME3. Since this one costs ~1.5 DLC, I'll sit this one out, too. After all, if the Citadel DLC is legit and contains what is rumored, I'm much more looking forward to that. Also, who knows what the future will bring in terms of DLC...

If the Citadel DLC actually does give us post breath scene content I'll go back and buy both this and Leviathan, but not before.

I know Bioware like to keep future content close to their chests, but in this case I think it's hurting their sales. At least if there are many more people who feel the same as you and I. If they only gave us some clue, some tiny little hint or spoiler, that they had something IT related up their sleeve in the near future. Then maybe I'd be tempted to buy Omega.

Unfortunately I'm unable to enjoy ME until I know I have something to look forward to at the end. Otherwise, Shepard feels like a dead man walking. 400 more war assets from Aria's fleet eh? Whoop di flipping do!

So, after beating the Halo 4 campaign and now having played several hours of multiplayer, I think I'm about done with the game.

Its not even really a good game, imo. Doesnt even really feel like Halo. Especially not the multiplayer. 7/10 if I'm feeling generous.

I’m still undecided about Omega DLC. Part of me wants to get it but there are so many things about it that I don’t like, lack of squadmates for a start.

A "no comment" on the question of Citadel DLC. Hmm....

Yes that is the one ray of hope. We'll probably have to wait until spring for it though.

Surprised there's no Omega trailer ready yet. And that Casey and Mac are still keeping a low profile; today of all days.

Ouch. I've not got an XBox but I've been curious about Halo. How long did it take you to beat singleplayer?

To each their own, I guess. I think it's the best Halo so far. 10/10
Also, it took me about ten hours to beat the campaign but part of that is because I looked at all the scenery.

So about £8 / $12 per hour of entertainment? Yikes, that's worse than seeing a movie at a cinema.

At least ME3 gave us 30 happy hours, spent in blissful ignorance of what was lurking at the top of that elevator.

Interesting to note, since you're the first person I've seen that's felt that way. Everyone else seems to be raving about it, that they out Bungie'd Bungie. Good to know going forth. Halo's one of the franchises on my list should I ever venture into getting an xbox. Though, if the next one is backwards compatible, I'm definitely just going to skip this console cycle.

I suppose if I didnt suck at multiplayer the game might be more fun.

The benefit of forcing a mandatory squad build, is that it allows the writers significantly more freedom in crafting a tight story - enough to outweigh what the player loses in tactical/affectional choice (subjective, I know), as well as much more economic resource management. Those two intertwine a lot.

...also, it helped them keep the DLC size under 2GB. Yes, I was surprised, too, but that's what they said during the sneak peak stream a few hours ago.

Actually I'm more disappointed that we can't use Nyreen and Aria in the rest of the campaign - though I suppose that would be a huge amount of work to integrate them, and new dialogue to record.

As they're new characters I would probably have used them during the Omega missions themselves anyway, even if I had a choice.

Smart move. The next XBOX should be on the market next Fall. No doubt it'll be backwards compatible. And I also think that Halo 4 is superior to the original trilogy. I haven't played it but from what I saw it looks great.

Hi folks, Threads a bit quiet today.

Article here about omega - http://www.eurogamer...r-in-4-hour-dlc.

Regrettably, it looks like it will be quite divorced from the main plot. We'll be unable to bring the main squad to Omega, or use Aria or Nyreen as permanent squadmates. Thane's little room remains empty it would seem.

On the plus side we 'll be getting to fight adjutants after all. As they're Cerberus controlled "artificially" reaperized creatures, they may provide more foreshadowing against the evils of control and / or synthesis.

Apart from that it looks like it might be another You-tube job for me. How about you guys?

Well I thought the same, for Leviathan, until I got spoiled about the story and convinced myself that the Intelligence = Harbinger, and that the Crucible is a trap

So, so far, I may skip on Omega, but if certain story details come from it, I might change my mind.

Honestly, at least one of the two should have become the new Life Support occupying character... but I also understand Bioware not wanting a second Asari or Turian henchman.

True. Actually one of the smarter things bioware could do would be to add a new male character as a love interest for femsheps, seeing as how limited their options are.
If Kaidan dies on Virmire, and you fail to romance Garrus in ME2, then I think Liara's the only option for a new romance in the third game.

There's Samantha too. I can see them waiting to make a new male squadmate/LI (a Batarian maybe) to occupy the Life Support room.

I actually met Jessica Chobot at a convention while she was odd-duty and she seems like a really nice person. As for Allers, I actually didn't mind the character.

Oh yes I forgot about Samantha. Even so, femsheps do get the short end of the stick. Brosheps get Ashley / Kaidan, Tali, Liara, Miranda, Diana, Steve and Jack. Femsheps are only guaranteed to have Liara and Samantha, as everyone else could be either dead, dying or Jacob.

(I kid, I quite like Jacob, but then I've never been romanced and then dumped by him)

A batarian could be a very interesting squadmate, but might be er... challenging to appreciate as an L.I. Let's just say he'd have to have a hell of a nice personality.

Femshep gets Allers too, but I agree with you. A Batarian was just the first thing to pop in my mind when I thought of a squadmate race we haven't had yet.

I remember when rumors that Jessica's character would be romance-able were discussed on Gamespot's podcast back in January. They were dismissed as the wild, deluded ravings of infatuated fanboys. Yet here we are.:?

And people think the IT is unlikely.

Bet they didn't anticipate her character being less popular than bladder cancer.

And in response to LDS's comment about Chobot being nice, I'm sure she is.  I don't know anything about her aside from where she works and she was Allers' model/VA.  The vomitting smiley was for Allers.  No matter what Chobot is like, the character she plays sucks.  I only included the PSP pic because Allers has the same face (plus early stages of whatever the hell the Reapers do to cannibals) and because, c'mon, that pic is hilarious.

As for a batarian squadmate, I'm going to vote with the colonist Shepards on this one.  "Awww hell no."  The only place I like seeing a batarian is in my crosshairs.

I actually didn't mind her voice acting either. Possibly because I don't use IGN so I had no preconceptions about her. She didn't set the world on fire, but her work was certainly passable.

However, her character model... :? So unflattering. It didn't look like her real-life appearance at all. It had those hunched shoulders that made her look like a young head, plonked on top of an old lady's body, then squeezed into that PVC abomination of a dress

Edit - oops, top of the page with a catty comment about Allers. How embarrassing!
