I dunno if anyone has brought this up here, I have been unable to keep up with the forum. I managed to get to like page 40 or something, but there is just no way I'll be able to get caught up. Anyway, I just saw Jos Hendriks' Tweet from a couple hours ago that definitely sent up a red flag, if you will...

Yes! One giant freaking piece of logic done! You won't know what it is for a while yet but I hope you'll like it. :)

And Gamble's reply was equally interesting...

@Sjosz nice man. Thanks for working so hard on this. The people are gonna love it.

This ALMOST sounds like a little bit of confirmation of an Indoctrination-esque piece of DLC coming...

Oh what a great post to have at the top of the page.  The only thing I can think of that's giant and logic is the Citadel.  Though Sjosz's conversation there reminds me a bit of Shepard, Anderson, TIM conversation where they're all talking to the same person

It might very well be the Citadel, but it sounds almost as if it might be thinking a little further out than Citadel. Of course, that might just be wishful thinking...

Maybe so.  That's where IT is bigger than everything else.  If they really do what we've all been posting and saying, then yes I think we really will love it.

Also, I want to let you guys know that, even though there is NO WAY I will be able to read all three marks in a reasonable time, I do want you all to know that I have been a long time believer in Indoc. Maybe it is just wishful thinking on all our parts, but I personally think there is much much more going on than meets the eye...

Honestly, the way I see it, that whole "huge piece of logic" bit is what's raising the IT flags for me. Just out of curiousity, exactly what is it that Hendriks is known to do at BioWare? Like has he worked on the other DLC, or just the main game? Because it would almost seem like, if he worked on just the main game, it might be that they are having him work on this piece separate from Citadel...

Ditto.  By the way the best advice is don't worry about reading all 3 marks.  I haven't yet.  Maybe what you can do is just read a page or 5 a day from mark 1 if you're really interested in going back to the beginning.

You can easily start from page 1685 (I think we're on now) and go forward.  We have a tendancy to repeat things to clarify points.  A way to do a crash course is to take a look at the Acavyos vid and the ending comparisons vid both under my sig.  that'll catch you up for the most part.  I just recently watched the Wise Choices Episode 1 the day before yesterday so it's not hurry to catch up.

We all really appreciate having new folks with new ideas because it gives us a chance to really think about things in a new way.  We are probably one of the best forums here IMHO Posted Image

Funny you mention the Acavyos vid, because that is what first set off a LOT of the IT flags. Like, there were a lot of things in the ending that didn't add up to me when I first went through it. NOTHING felt right. And then I watched that and a good chunk of....crap, I can't think of his name, but he was the one that "leaked" the DLC calendar that was junk, except that some of the DLC might be legit. I think his video was Project X. Anyway, I'll certainly try to get here a little more often and contribute instead of just lurking...lol

Same thing happened for me from the Acavyos vid.  I changed a lot of things I was thinking about.  Now one of my goals is to play the whole thing with an IT spin on it and see how my choices change

Nah the DLC's arent going to get any better from here on out.... Aparantley you cant even take your original team with you to Omega its only Sheppard, Aria and some female Turian... Whoopi doo... What does Sheppard say to his crew...

"Hey you guys remember Aria?... Well um guess what? ME Aria and her Turian sex slave is going to attempt to take back OMEGA! Sweet right? And the best thing is... YOU CANT COME!"

What a waste of time... It wont add to the IT in anyway or change the ending so umm why do we actually need this DLC anyways?

I think it's even more interesting that they force squad mates because all this weird stuff happens when Shepard is alone (ending, Leviathan, watching kids in the park creepily).
It also allows the writers to work on excellent dialogue due to everyone hearing it.

It's not like this is something thrown together. It's been in mind for a very long time and has it's own comic series devoted to setting it up. They clearly had SOMETHING in mind for Omega.

True and if there's one thing that you always get from Bioware it's attention to detail. I suspect there'll be at least as much speculation fuel in Omega as Leviathan. Forcing squad composition probably is at least partly due to the stupid xbox 2 gig download limit. Though I'm mostly a pc gamer do I'd best shut up before I go all master race...

Omega is supposed to be huge, so I don't think they are just going to have us going to a couple places JUST to get the place back for Aria and get the assets. There is MUCH more than what has been revealed. Although, I'd be very interested to see what people find in the code for it... They are ALWAYS finding some clues in the coding for upcoming DLC. What's coming next, I wonder? Course, I'm getting more and more ravenous for more SP DLC...

This.

And perhaps there is a good reason for only bringing Aria and the female Turian...well Aria is pretty self explanatory, it is Omega we are going to. It would be like beeing able to not bring Liara against the Shadowbroker in ME2.

The Turian might be expolained with some significance to the infiltration part, in fact that is a good bet considering the pic where Shepard and the female Turian is watching a holo of a Cerberus Cruiser outside Omega. The Normandy is good, but as we are always told it is not invisible. We probably need some other way into Omega and that is where the female Turian enters the picture.

As for what we are going to experience there...I think we will get some good pieces towards IT. This is Cerberus after all, they have always been front of the line when it came to Synthesis / Control experiemnts going horribly wrong :D

Still though i doubt it will be obvious. Going by Leviathan, Bioware will probably hide the hints behind what seems to be support for the litteral interpretation, like how Levithan spoke of an AI and people ignoring all the other things the DLC showed about Indoctrination in favor of focusing on that bit.

I agree. Like I said above, Omega is allegedly FAR too big for there not to be more little hints hidden within to push us further and further along to IT. I'm wondering if this is going to be the biggest push to IT that we have gotten since the main game.

Unrelated, but I added this poll to my thread. Feel free to post your ideas in the thread.

To the newcomers: Greetings and check out "IT's Top Ten" for a - kind of brief - overview.
In regards to Rifneno and his wish to have a single piece to smash zealous literalists in the face when needed, I have to say... I tried...  - at first - with my list, but due to the vast amount of really good points (that unfortunately need some elaboration) the list is what it is now - rather extensive.
But what does that list convey? In my view, it renders the most used counter-argument of IT useless - the "Bad Writing" hammer. You cannot possibly have all those hints in the list through sheer coincidence...
A single piece would usually be hand-waved using "Bad Writing" or "Re-used assets"...

I'm a IT supporter but also, at least lately, I'm a realist. Bioware takes pleasure in trolling hype. They could be talking about lunch or a new anim. Don't buy into their twitter hype. Do yourselves a favor and don't wax fantasy about any upcoming DLC.

You'll not be too disappointed with whatever is released if you don't work up expectations of head cannon plots and wishful thinking.

Regarding Reapers and Indoctrination, one important thing I don't believe that has been brought up is that becasue they use subliminals, constant exposure to Reaper tech for further Indoctrination is not required. If any of the subliminals take root in the subject's subconcious, they can grow pretty well on their own. For instance one subliminal suggestion could be, "Every time you take a drink, your willingness to obey future Reaper commands will grow." Another would be, "Every time you sleep, you will realize the Reapers want your species to ascend, and you will think of ways to help make this happen." Etc., etc.

Because these are subliminal, they're bypassing the concious mind, which is what makes them so insidious and dangerous. Because the concious mind is the rational, analytical part of us that can say, "No, Starbinger, a green glowing wave of Space Magic is NOT a good idea."  While the subconcious just accepts things at face value, and so is willing to carry out Reaper commands regardless of the logic.  Further exposure will worsen things, being bombarded even just once could be enough depending on the subconcious mind of the subject.

That's pretty much how long-term indoctrination works.  It weeds itself into the mind, festers slowly and gradually so you don't notice any change, causing you to doubt your own ideals and question your morals.

And then finally you start agreeing with the Reaper's motives and methods.  Scary stuff.

Also, anyone notice another similarity with the Conduit on Earth?  The Shroud on Tunchunka, a thin tall structure with a beam of light stretching up into the atmosphere.  There's even a nearby Reaper protecting it on the ground.

Just look at poor Rana Thanoptis. Her exposition to Reapers and their artifacts was in ME1. Two years later, in ME2, she may still work on shady projects, but does not seem to be indoctrinated in the slightest. Then, in ME3 - out of nowhere - she slaughters a part of Asari High Command.
