really did you kill the geth, and Quariens, and only the Council races, not anyone else. minus the crubilbe/not upgrading it, and finding war assets, just what the Council races give you, and that's it.

I killed the quarians and picked destroy, so I technically killed them both off, yes. And I didnt do any scanning or any side-missions at all. Still won the war.

Even got the breath scene, since it was post EC.

Then what if this was the pre EC what then. Bioware only lowered it down because people were complaining about it.

Then I still would have won the war, I just wouldnt have gotten the breath scene.

No but that will be the problem of the next ME Trilogy, if they do ME4 with Shepards choice, but they wont. Which is stupid because that's what's going to have a huge affect on the galaxy forever.

WHAT?

Answer my question. If I donate 5€ to the UN to help starving children in Africa, does that mean I should become a part of the UN board?

I DID< AND I SAID NO. BUT THEY SHOULD AT LEAST CONSIDER THE FACT TO GIVE THE NON RACES SOME RESPECT.

Giving them respect and making them full fledged members of the Council are totally different, Mr Caps Lock.

no if you give them the respect they diserve, then in time they will be on the Council, but the council races, except humainty are to pridefull, and I wish I could condem all of there races, not the once that have supported Shepard, and let tehm face there own problems.

Pre-EC doesn't matter, since you'd get the high-EMS destroy ending anyway with over 3000 EMS. You'd just not get the breath scene.

As Byne said, there's a huge difference between earning respect and getting a seat on the galactic government.

At the most, they should be allowed an embassy, and that only goes for the quarians and Krogan.

DId we also go over the rachni or the vorcha?

Everyone deserves a seat on the Council! Except the Council races! Screw those guys!

Do you even listen to yourself, masster?

Jesus, I have a headache and this isnt helping. I'm going to go lie down for a while.

So what you want is to let the races that contributed most be cast aside and be replaced by the weaker ones.

I'd never want someone like you as the leader of my country.

Agreed.
I made a point earlier abou the whole "visions of the future" which Shep has when you are enquiring about the choices presented which turn out to actully happen.

Rachni are still remembered as mass murderers throughout the galaxy, and the Vorcha are all primitive savages who have a feudal regime as government.

I think that's why the Council races need to realize that they are f*** without the other races supporting them and that's a fact.

Considering you can win the war with just the Council races + geth (who you can then kill off in destroy), that is not a fact, and is in fact completely false.

Well actually you 'win' the war no matter the score. There is no 'refuse only' ending.

They were far too arrogant to realize it which is why I had a big happy place in my heart when thessia was destroyed mainly triggered by that first arrogant commando and even the second. They refused to do their job! I was like
'Good, DIE!' andd then the did! Truly an awful species that I loathed even more for hiding the prothean device. I laid into liara on that one in every playthrough. Then she's all broken up in her room and screaming at Javick, and all I could think is Garris and I have been here with you knowing our worlds are on their way to gone and some reapers finally land on your planet and you go off like this? Sorry. No sympathy there. For 100 she was very juvenille. When I play again she will not be on my team ever. I only came across her reaction to thessia on my last playthrough and I was astounded. I wanted to tell her to suck it up like Garris and I had been doing but alas, either not an option or I chose to be kind.

I didn't say screw them I said they are to pride full, and that's the truth they think they are the best because they are on the Councli, but that means s*** when the Reaperscome and start killing your race now does it.

Wait! Before I lie down, the way you explained what masster said reminded me of this:

Organic civilizations rise, evolve, advance, and at the apex of their glory they are extinguished - Sovereign

We helped them ascend so they could make way for new life, storing the old life in Reaper form. - Godchild.

Masster wants the most advanced species to be cast down to make room for the less advanced ones.

He is literally arguing the the Reapers' point. He's indoctrinated!

your point is irrelevant because the EMS requirements were changed in the EC

Sharing pie with fellow ITers...

So illusive man was right ... Yes, but he cannot control us - we already controled him...

Confidence:

The control is the means to survival...because I need you to believe...This is the way humanity must evolve...Look at the power...I took what I wanted from them, made it my own...

Shepard and Anderson controled by Illusive man´s new magic powers...

The precise mechanics of the indoctrination effect are poorly understood. It is believed that the Reapers generate an electromagnetic field, waves of infrasound and ultrasound, or both in order to stimulate areas of a victim's brain and limbic system.

Hesitation:
I I will.. I know it will work... No I am in control...I know it can I just[i]... I can´t do that comander...That´s not true...I just need to...

[b]Acceptance:

THEY ARE TOO STRONG!

So back to IT then, what's the implication here? He chooses destroy but gives up believing in his mind all is lost anyway? What does not living after destroying them mean? Puzzle. Anyone? Puzzle time!

Estebanus! You can't do this! I was a bit depressed by what Chris said until I realized how stupid I looked. MassterBlasster, Byne, TSA, BleedingUranium, they're all right. We're acting like Shepard after Thessia. It makes no sense! What he said changes nothing. In fact, it's nothing they haven't said already. He contradicted himself 2 seconds later anyway. Remember an entire new ending was added purely through added dialogue! No reason IT can't still happen!  Watch from 14:20! Let Anderson help! Then watch this
It always pumps me up! And without you here I have no one to banter with; I have no purpose! Posted Image

So I'm gone for a night and suddenly, a storm of negative waves. Estebanus steps down from believer to supporter, everyone's freaking out over Chris' comment. *sigh*

Look, Indoctrination Theory is a mother beautiful theory. It elevates the Mass Effect series as a whole from just another cthulhu-lite to a properly epic story: the fight for freedom and choice against cosmic tyranny. The finale is Shepard succumbing to that tyranny or staying true, holding fast, telling the Overlord that the galaxy will not accept it. With that in mind, we got the climax of the series: The battle for Shepard's soul and the soul of the galaxy is won or lost. We don't neccesarily need to Take Earth Back after that. The reapers have thrown their best efforts at us, and we beat them all or fail in the end.

Did Bioware intend it? I don't think so. I think we came up with a better interpretaton than even Bioware foresaw. I'm here not because I expect Bioware to reveal It conclusively (they'll never do such until the end of the DLC cycle), I'm not even here because I want Bioware to endorse IT. I'm here because IT is a mother beautiful theory, and it's our mother beautiful theory.

And I've long since given up taking Bioware's statements seriously. I'll take their content seriously, but not their statements. They've dodged, obfuscated, and outright lied too many times to be trusted. Only what they make truly matters anymore. And from what I've seen, what they made still leaves IT as a valid interpretation. Still leaves IT as the best interpretation.

Your belief is not required. Your support is not required. Bioware's support is not required. All that is required is a desire for a good story. And unless I've missed something big, as far as Mass Effect is concerned, IT is the best story we have. And until it isn't, I encourage everyone here to continue holding the line.

End of line.

P.S. Why do I always show up hours after the discussion I want to reply to is over?

Calm down Banshee, I'm not going anywhere. I'm still a supporter, but I'm just not a believer any more. I'll still be around here, just not as one of you.
