So, I've finally come home from Prague. I've been food poisoned, got high fever, I lost almost all of my money, but I'm home.

What exactly has happened in the last 7 days?

:o Hope you're okay. I just reappeared here after Halo 4. Coincidence?

Never eat food at the Fortuna hotel, and never lose sight of your wallet when on Wenceslas square.

Good. Anyway, I really feel like crap right now, so I'll be gone. Goodbye.

Food poisoning sucks.  I don't know if that's what I had back in August, but I'm pretty sure the symptoms were VERY similar.

notice that the omega dlc is going to be xbox exclusive for a while.... wonder why....

possibly to stop meddling PC players from invading the files too early?

something else... what is the maximum download size for dlc on xbox? like 2gb right? if so, then how is omega going to be twice as big as leviathan and yet both be around the same size....?

It's not. Everyone gets it on the 27th, with the exception of PS3 in Europe on the 28th.

Hey guys so what's up. I have been thinking that what if we do have to blow up Omega? I mean if Omega is infested with the Adjuants, then we can't save Omega but we will have to Destroy it. Also is it called take back Omega, or Omega dlc in general?

It's called Omega DLC...

Alternatively, "Mass 3 Omega Effect"

Considering all the people that QQ'd over having the blow up the Alpha Relay and having to kill 300,000 batarians to save the entire rest of the galaxy, I very highly doubt we'll have to blow up a station with a population of nearly 8 million.

Maybe it'll be like Amaranthine, where you can save it, but if you do, you take losses somewhere else.

It just took me a moment to realize that you meant the city in Dragon Age, not the planet in Mass Effect.
But yeah, I think that'd be something cool to do.

It wasn't as if Batarians would even be missed.  But Omega has actual people on it, so we can't be having that!

And yeah, Bioware tease far too much.  Its getting to the 'somewhat annoying' stage.

Their teasing does get a bit annoying, but remember, this is exactly what we keep predicting.  No straight answers or even decent information until the end of the DLC cycle/ME4.

If you fully upgraded Vigil's Keep, it doesn't fall.  You can't go back there for storyline reasons but the keep never falls.  Assuming Gaider hasn't retconned that too.  That man sure does love his retcons.

Agreed.  Batarians aren't people.  They're moble target practice.  Still, people complained a lot about having to kill so many of them.  So I doubt we'll have to kill 20 times as many of races that deserve to live.

Man, that opening scene of ME3 was awkward for my Shepard.
Anderson: When you blew up the Alpha Relay, hundreds of thousands of batarians died!
Shepard: High-five! <raises hand for a slap>
Anderson: <intense glare>
Shepard: :(

I know the keep doesnt fall, but if you dont go back, even with full upgrades, some of the party members you left behind can sometimes die.

So, (without spoilers) holy crap there are a lot of Mass Effect parallels in Halo 4!

Just in terms of voices, the main antagonist is voiced by Keith Szarabajka, who talks just like Harbinger throughout the game, with words like "inevitable", "ascension", and more, while addressing John as "human" several times. It was great Posted Image

There's also: Jennifer Hale (FemShep), Steve Blum (Grunt), Fred Tatasciore (Saren/Balak), Troy Baker (Kai Leng), and Laura Bailey (many secondary characters in ME3).

If you've played it, you'll know there are a lot of other things too.

I never bothered learning the FemShep character's actual name in Halo 4. She's Shepard as far as I'm concerned. She's even a Commander.

Oh right, she's a Commander too, and Spartan-IVs are pretty much N7s, and she's in charge of them. Sarah Palmer's her name. Since I've been toying with the idea of doing a FemShep playthrough, I think I'll name her Sarah and give her the face and armour to match Posted Image

I thought it was great. The final vehicle run (not a spoiler because every Halo game has one) was one of my favourite things ever.

As for the very end? I thought it was good, and I think there's plenty of room to undo what happened if they wanted to in future games. That's not to say I don't like it as it is, I'm just saying the potential is there.

Also, I always figured Thel 'Vadam (The Arbiter) would return in Halo 5, and now I'm even more sure of it. Also, he's voiced by Keith David!

I didn't think it was bad.  I actually kind of liked it.  It resolved the story, but left things open enough that they could do a sequel.
