Everyone deserves a seat on the Council! Except the Council races! Screw those guys!

Do you even listen to yourself, masster?

Jesus, I have a headache and this isnt helping. I'm going to go lie down for a while.

I didn't say screw them I said they are to pride full, and that's the truth they think they are the best because they are on the Councli, but that means s*** when the Reaperscome and start killing your race now does it.

But they are the best. They were the ones that led the galaxy to victory in the end.

A screw them. They could have listened to Shepard but they said f*** you, and I hate the Asari goverment, not the people that did not know about the Prothean beacon on thesisa.. And they did because of Shepard. They did it to save themselfs, and that's it.

So I'm gone for a night and suddenly, a storm of negative waves. Estebanus steps down from believer to supporter, everyone's freaking out over Chris' comment. *sigh*

It's not everyone, just the vocal ones. You're about the fifth person to ask why everyone's so grumpy.

I didn't like how the strong ones pretty much screwed the galaxy with their selfish superiority, which was why Protheans died if you listend to javick, be like us or perish BS. Not Liara, but that arrogant tone was prevalent in most asari - how they were superior in all ways. Salarians were all on control and staying in control and using everyone as their tools though not all the individuals but it was a theme. The individuals like mordin and kirrahe and maelon were not so hardcore but they were indoctrinated to that view point, which actually was the council since STG was identified in ME1 as being a tool of the council though it seemed to consist of Salarians only as far as was seen.

I really didn't want any of them to suffer or die or be destroyed but I wanted them to have some humility which was absolute in its lack in all of them. Occassionally they would come across with some humility and balance but most often there was a tone. In ME1 the salarian and asari were the most reasonable and likable probably because the Turian was pissed about humanity not losing their war.

Aaaww... are you mad that the asari government hid something from you? Well, I've got some advice for you, buddy. They led the galaxy to victory along with the rest of the council races. As much as you may dislike it, it's true.

Calm down Banshee, I'm not going anywhere. I'm still a supporter, but I'm just not a believer any more. I'll still be around here, just not as one of you.

Did you watch Anderson's motivational vids?

I'm prepared for that IT might not be truely revealed until ME4. If it's going to be revealed earlier, that's great.

But ME4 might be about breaking out of indoctrination. Or it can be about finishing the fight for real.

So either wandering around in Sheps head for a whole game, or wandering around Earth for the whole game. I don't see either happening.

First of all the Protheans realized their mistake, that's why they uplifted the Asari, left the archives on Mars, teach the Hanar how to speak, etc.
A war with the Reapers has to be won with diversity. If you fight as one race (like the Protheans) you're pretty much screwed.

As for the humility, the Counicl races have been in power for centuries, did you expect them to believe a human, a recently 'discovered' race, and follow her around? I understand the way the council acts, I may not agree with them, but that's politics for you.

Actually Shep led them to victory. Imagine it as you will but there would not have been any assault if it wasn't for shep pushing and pushing, and remember they were backed by quarians, krograns and geth who actually in my GAW assets were far, far, far higher than the others. In fact, krogan and geth might have been the highest. I think Salarian was around 150, I don't think Turian was above 500. I'm sure Asari wasn't higher but I remember krogan and geth being around 700 - above 800. Quarian also came in around 500 but there was a lot going on with them because geth were helping rebuild ships and homes so they might not have put all into it and those people had some 300 year old ships going back to ME1. So please don't call the council the key as their assets were far less. Heck, aria's crew gave the salarians a run for the money. So much for the mighty. I'll cut the turians slack as they were one of the first hit by the reapers, but Asari and salarians were weak anyway.

Geez, use your imagination. Breaking out of indoc might be about reliving Shepard's life but slightly (or more) distorted. Finishing the fight could be about fleeing Earth and defeating the Reapers throughout the Galaxy.

So what do you think is the message the Reapers are trying to pass to Shepard through the kid in the dreams, with Shepard running after him, him burning, when Shepard burns with him?

Or you just take the version that is wirtten in the art book, that he's the face of the people on Earth Shepard couldn't save?

Shepard brought the galaxy together, yes, but without the galaxy actually heping, it wouldn't matter either way.

I am using my imaginatation! You're talking nonsense! A whole game trekking through Shep's mind won't have exploration or squadmates. A whole game was ALREADY spent wandering the galaxy fighting reapers. A DLC that really uses the crucible is fine but a whole game will have to pull another superweapon out of it's arse.

I think it's just a demoralisation attempt if it's direct interference. Otherwise it's just part of the effects of being indoctrinated.

I mean just the concept of wandering around in someones mind for an entire game (that doesn't spoil you I hope?)

Bioware has pretty much confirmed that the child in the dreams symbolizes the lives lost and destroyed by the reapers. The dreams then are a manifestation of or an attempt to impress on Shepard a serious case of survivor guilt. The Catalyst appears as the child no doubt to confront Shepard with that guilt, possibly to dissuade Shepard from destroy (more lives lost and destroyed) and convince them to pick Control or Synthesis (Shepard pays back 'the debt', no more lives lost on Shepard's account).

Basically, your question assumes a false dichotomy. It's both.

She saved them all numerous times, so YES. She saved them from the reapers and the geth and saved them on the ship and saved the citadel in one despite their best efforts to get themselves harvested.

Then she saved them again by stopping the reapers from coming through the relay which they punished her for. She also saved them by destroying the collectors because who thinks the collectors would stop with humans? They were just the first to be culled probably because of shep.

So yes, I did expect it as she earned it. Just because you are recently discovered doesn't mean that you have nothing to offer or are inferior in any way. Recently discovered, in fact, means nothing other than you have been ignornant of their existence until then. Now that's not anybody's fault but don't say it like it automatically means there is inferiority because that's how it sounds and now you sound like the arrogant council members who were the main problem in the entire series. They undermined at every turn.
