Nice to know I'm not imagining things. Kind of sucks for the Quarians if the emp put all technology on the fritz, seeing as how dependent they are on their suits.

you know I didn't even think of the Quarians frying under the literal ending idea.  I really didn't associate Quarian suit  to destroy ending

Would especially suck for the ones who have geth programs uploaded to their suits simulating viruses and stuff to boost their immune systems. With geth gone it'd probly leave their suits all incorrectly calibrated.

Garrus can only calibrate so many things.

Well david um I would post more but byne and the others Estebauns mostly kept getting mad at me for over posting. So I tend to wait now unless an hour has passed or ya.

And yes people have clamed that Shepard survives Earth's rentry and lans in London. Don't ask me how it started, but ya.

Nah man no-one's mad at you, you are the heart and soul of this thread, post as much as you like.

Though he's got a lot less weapons to calibrate. But we also know, though he has a good reach, he lacks flexibility.

On another note: why is there a mirrored F on the Scorpion?

Well the other anti IT thread got locked down, and now the no this and no that thread got locked down. I guess this day is a lock down day, and oh me we are ever getting closer to 2000 get ready for Mark 4 people.

To be fair, it was not an anti-IT thread, it was just a poster genuinely wanting to know more about the theory. Of course it would've been way more reasonable to just ask the questions in this thread, because this thread has already immunity against the troll hordes (bloodily earned during the Morning Troll Wars in Mark I and II). Maybe the original poster was afraid to post here, since the reputation of the people here is... not the best, sadly.
Yet the literalists, haters and anti-enders swarmed the thread and turned it into an anti-IT thread.

If the creator of that thread is reading this, hi there, feel welcome.

since I'm missing this, which thread was it?

I agree. I actually have followed IT theory since that Acavayos video, but only recently started following the BSN threads (like, 1780 or something of Mark III) and missed all of the Morning Troll Wars. Those that have been here the whole time, roughly what pages of Mark I and Mark II are we talking here?

@mw. I started in the early part of the mk3 thread. It took me a bit to get my game registered with BSN, had I known I would have posted that early. But I started posting a bit after.

I've lurked in a few other threads, mostly seeing if anyone had any rumors or anything about upcoming DLC. Even if they were complete crap, like "The Truth" DLC from WAAAAAAY back. I've been registered here for a while, though. Just recently started really contributing, though.

I have just noticed that when Legion is freed from the reapers in the geth dreadnought mission, a blue ball of energy explodes outwards, passing over Shep and co. I don't even know if it's relevant to IT, but it's bugging me now. I'm unsure if this pulse is just Legion disabling the drive core, but if it contains any reaper signals, then it passes through every Shepard who plays through ME3.
On the subject of the geth, they only allied with the reapers after the Quarians attacked, right? So the reapers were just waiting around for organics to "provoke" synthetics before conveniently offering their assistance?

Ok, I've been wondering this since that screenshot from Omega posted, who the hell is Petrovsky? It's been a while since I played ME2, was he from there? Or from the books/comics?

It would seem so. And despite their claims of wanting to protect organics from synthetics, the Reapers stepped in and upgraded the geth right as the quarians were about to wipe them out.

Because I know that when I'm trying to protect organics, and the organics are about to wipe out all synthetics, I make sure to upgrade the synthetics and kill the organics.

It just makes good sense.

Scroll about half way down, and read about Phase III and The Crucible.  Note the mention of the final test being called the Reaper.

Bearing in mind that Shepard is a marine, it's at least possible that this might have influenced ort even inspired some of the ME story.

Edit: Oh, and from the Wikipedia article on US Marine training:

http://en.wikipedia....ecruit_Training

"On the final day of the Crucible, recruits are awoken and begin their
final march (including "The Reaper" a forced march up a steeply inclined
hill to the top of Edson's Ridge on the west coast)."

Shepard wakes up in front of the Conduit, walks upwards towards the final destination, towards the Reaper Harbinger.

...mind. ...blown.

Interesting that the USMC Crucible test is up a steeply inclined hill, whereas the run to the beam is down a steeply declined hill... which is a very unusual level design compared to most of ME. I suppose gravity is doing the job that training officers would do -- forcing the bodies to perform.

Crazy. Posted Image

Pretty good. I didnt like it much at first, but once I got the DVD, and watched season 10 all the way through, it was great. Just dont like that they're going to Halo 4 for Season 11.

I wonder if Season 11 will focus on Church and Carolina or on the Blood Gulch crew? Or both?

Also, I know what happened to Georgia!

Also Carolina in a dress, because Carolina is always awesome.

Which begs the question, how close were they really to the old machines? Legions omissions of truth throughout ME3 aside, the geth are looking increasingly dodgy to me at this point.
Legion never seems subjucated like the rest of the geth do either. His first words are pretty much "help me" and at this stage, I can see/remember no explanation as to why Legions platform is essentially unchanged and willing to assist Shepard.

And where do we first discover him? A dead reaper... *chinstroke*

Prediction: Season 11 will focus on BGC guys and may or may not include Church/Carolina.

Legion says that that platform is too complex for the Reapers to do what they did to the rest of the geth.  Which is entirely possible, as they established in ME2 that Legion is a unique platform with the best hardware so he can be a network unto himself.

Geth are looking a bit dodgy, but I still trust them more than the damned quarians.
