Or Kaidan shouting "No! Don't touch him. It's too dangerous." And then we wake up

on Eden Prime 3 years earlier. The camera shows Shepard's eye opening, like in Lost.

No Paxxton. I, as well as many fans would be pissed off if it were all a dream. Also Spot ya I guess, but I really want Shepard to be on Earth. Makes it more dramatic, and your war assets coming to save you would be epic. I can see your LI freaking out just trying to get to Shepard, and Anderson ( if not dead) is ordering Hammer team to cover Shepard.

Even if it was a dream, what matters is the experience of playing 3 games. That'd stay with you and all the fans regardless of whether it all happened or not. That's why I wouldn't be upset if it turned out that way.

Considering the fact that arguably the biggest reason people hate IT is that it means even the small portion of ME3 that everyone hates "didn't really happen", I dare say you're in the tiny, tiny, microscopic minority that wouldn't mind if all 3 games "didn't really happen."

Well, that means if it was the case that ME wasn't real, there would be less people to receive praise and hence each one of us would be praised more for our insight into the ME Universe. Posted ImagePosted Image

Then you're doing it wrong. :P

Check out the Platinum Volus. :D

He's actually really good if you know how to play him.

As for multiplayer, I really am getting sick of playing with randoms. Why don't people medi-gel? I mean seriously.

People would rather have the mission fail and miss out on all the credits than use a medi-gel.

I was playing a Geth infiltrator, you know, pretty squishy. Even had to solo a wave or two because these other guys just let themselves bleed to death if you don't have time to revive them. So, I'm out of medi-gel and I know none of the others guys have used any. So it's wave 10. Final objective, pizza run.

I go down three metres before I reach the objective with the second object. I have no more medi-gel. One of the other guys comes over, he goes down before he can pick up the object. ****ing refuses to ****ing medi-gel. All he had to do was get up, carry the object for two seconds, and we would have had all the credits. But nooooooo.

Next mission, almost the same damn thing happens. What the **** is wrong with people?

It's costing me all my consumables and it doesn't even pay off if people keep playing like this.

I need more friends to play with.

I feel your pain- this happened to me recently as well. I'll always medigel if it means getting credits or not letting the whole mission fail, but I think sometimes other people think differently. I mean, if we mission fail at Wave 3, then whatever, but Wave 10...not cool.

I had hoped the Star Wars franchise would improve without Lucas' control freakery. Alas not it would seem.

But... that would mean they would create a young Vader. Just when we thought we were rid of Hayden Christiansen forever! It gets worse and worse!

Strangely, a helix (in the pic) is single-stranded. Human DNA is double-stranded.

Of course, it's not said explicitly that this is supposed to be a human. But then again, this is not my field of study. Any experts here? Can this still be a human? Nuclein acids of any other part of the human system?

Also, there red green blue distortions to me always tell that this is someone watchin it on an in-game monitor or display...just like the ending sequences after the Crucible was activated.

There's no way in hell the Crucible is legit.  I don't know how victory will happen, or if it will happen.  But I know there's no way the literal deus ex machina that survived countless cycles is for real.  The Reapers clean up so well that no one even knows they exist until they invade, and you're telling me that for countless (they actually called it "countless!") cycles they missed the blueprints for a superweapon that could destroy them all?  A superweapon that was designed so that even the best scientists couldn't figure out what it did until it was used?  A superweapon that the Leviathans did that "oh crap, what do I say about this, I don't want them to know" look when questioned about it?

That's absurd.  The Crucible is a trap.

Ok.  I'm a little bit surprised that you dismiss the argument that Anderson or Hackett might be batting for the wrong team, but you accept that the Crucible might be a trap.

No doubt the Crucible is eyebrow-raising.  The devs needed something that could give the final game the necessary momentum.  It is very much out of the blue and "really?".  Even the characters comment as much.

Maybe it is a trap.  But if it's a trap, we're all doomed.  We piled all of our resources into it after accepting that conventional victory isn't possible.

In this case the ending is meaningless.  And why wouldn't Harbinger just zap (unindoctrinated) Shepard once he wakes up?

The whole point would be to obtain Shepard. That's actually the continued mystery that even Leviathan adds on more speculation about.

Now, there could be a ton of other objectives, like collecting all the galaxy's forces together for something, but we *know* Harbinger is friggin obsessed with Shepard. We can also assume that the Reapers/Harbinger doesn't ever actually think they're going to lose, and that they have all the time in the world. It is true that ME2 was barely even a setback, when put into context.

But I consider Crucible to be more than a trap. Like its name, its a test, a test to unite the galaxy's resources and peoples onto a singular goal.

The bad part of that is that you united the galaxy to get picked off.
The good part about that, as your squadmates say, is that you united the friggin galaxy! (especially in a 'full peace' playthrough)

So I think both of us have discussed this before, but I don't think we got a true ending to Mass Effect. We ended Shepard's story, at least for the most part (barring DLC or an expansion), and possibly the 'military style story arc', but the whole point is that we saw through the bright and shiny illusion to see the dark scenario in reality.

And now we have to wait and see whether your squadmates and galactic factions are now ready to step up to the plate.

This video/speech was..lackluster when I first saw it, but now with possibly the proper context, it may be the best Shepard speech of the series: youtu.be/Zh3VXf-i_V0

I think the problem is in seeing ME3 as the end of Mass Effect and the fight against the Reapers, because it may not be.

I don't like it much at all.

The Montreal stuff?

Well my boyfriend is friends with a new hire there (Character Designer I think, visual art stuff) who joined possibly just due to his love for Mass Effect, so there's that as a good sign for me personally.

I don't care what studio does it, as long as it has good creative direction about it, bloody explains ME3 in a good manner (IT just being a strong 'first prize' explanation for me), and moves forward to understand how important RPG is to this whole thing, not just shooter.

Edmonton is working on the ME3 expansion, duh

That's what I'm hoping, and it would really fit everything together if that's the case.

Edmonton finishes the Shepard larger arc, and sets the foundations for what Mass Effect is and will be, and Montreal takes the reigns after, with a fresh team that still loves the IP (I love most Montreal devs I've met, and trust them enough).
