Also why is it that Grunt isn't in Synthesis? He is in it in Control, and Destroy, but not Synthesis? Also um isn't that report that you can punch crying in Control and Synthesis?

Why is she crying, and why is Jacob, and his wife( well soon to be) in the scene?

Yeah.  I have a theory about this.  Notice that many slides have a good and bad version - including Samara, Jacob, Tuchanka etc.

Jacob, Brynn and the reporter (it could be her, I just figured it was some scientist) only appear together in the 'bad' slide.  In Jacob's good slide, he's teaching a class.

Most slides in Synthesis are 'good' slides, but with green circuitry / green light poking through the cracks.  All except Jacob's.

Now in ME3, what do Jacob and Brynn represent?  The Crucible effort.  They represent the scientists working on the Crucible.  We see this both with the rescue mission and the goodbye to Jacob on the Citadel.

So why would they be sad when everyone else is happy?  Well, the slides represent the aftermath a short time after the war.  Now no-one really knows what the Crucible is capable of, but I'm guessing they know more than most.  I think that they realise before anyone else what has really happened in Synthesis - that they have had their lives taken and are now trapped in an imaginary reality.  Now given that the Archer brother was working with them, they also know the consequences of attempting to synthesise organic and synthetic life better than anyone, so I think it's another hint that all is not well in Synthesis and that they are, in reality, slaves to the Reapers, Matrix-style.

Kasumi's boyfriend looks like a hologram. Not sure if he's alive.

But anyway, Synthesis is good in general. Our lives become better through technology.

oh. I thought it was a hologram of me lol. My Shepard looks like that

Kasumi wasn't an LI in Mass Effect so it's a mystery how would your Shepard fall in love with her without ever pursuing it. Synthesis might indeed be an unpredictable ending. Posted Image

since the ending is supposed to be a hallucination and I really did like Kasumi then yes anything is possible. By the way was it you saying would Shepard survive in a real world experience of a  destroy ending?  If it was you then I say yes because Shepard is supposed to be hallucinating everything so the destroy ending could have happened in the real world as a halluncination

@MWMike2011 @401 Kill I didn't hear him speaking but from what I understood when I read about it here was that it's an unrelated project. Whether unrelated to IT or ME in general, I cannot tell.

Where did you read about it here? I don't think I saw anything, but I'm not sure. Someone over on Playfire, who says he knows someone within Bioware and was pretty accurate about what they were planning on EC, was saying that from what he can tell, it is supposed to be a very large DLC. I'm thinking maybe an Awakening-esque expansion that bridges ME3 and ME4

By RL I meant that if one was actually presented with the same choice Shepard was, not in a dream/hallucination.

IIRC it was discussed here about 2 weeks ago. Don't know the exact page number. Anyone else remembers that?

Just came across this. Interesting how in synthesis the people in the slides are generally looking at or even bowing to the Reapers. Moreover, why are the Krogan so pissed?

Well, all I can say about this is that if BW said it's not ME related, then that means it's ME related.

What's funny david it that Mirandas slide if you didn't romance her, is creepy. In Synthesis, and Control she is looking at a holograpic projection of a new building desgin, yet a Reaper is in the back ground which to me looks like it's watching Miranda.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I mean, IT has been based mainly despite the fact that BioWare themselves informed that they had no intention of "changing" the ending. It might very well be that Project X is not related to ONLY ME3 or ME3-directly, but contains IT and will link this and ME4 together in some way.

In Control, Miranda is monitoring the Reapers...
In Synthesis, Miranda acts exactly like if the Reapers were dead...

Um bill in Synthesis there is a giant big Destroy Reaper in the back ground, and Miranda is not smiling in Synthesis. If you look at her face in Destroy she looks happy, and smiles, yet in Synthesis, she looks like a mindless drone.

Im not saying this "just because", but control and synthesis slides seem scary to me. Control has the Reapers around, observing. Synthesis... Everybody looks like a machine to be honest, it actually looks like they are indoctrinated. They have different eye colors, and their surroundings look like they are virtually constructed.

Also what's up with Miranda in Control. Is she studing the Reapers, or is she trying to find Shepard? I mean as a Reaper. When Control starts off we see Shepard inside a Destroyer Reaper right, yet that's impossible because Shepard should be on the Citadel, yet right in the middle a Destroyer Reapers is there. Yes the Citadel is blow, and Harbingers profile is to the left.

Holy shinto Harbingers profile is to the left in Control. Bioware you clever devils.

Because it looks exactly the same as Overlord. Gotta love the literalists that handwave Overlord an Saren being Synthesis Posted Image

Really? It does? I have never played Overlord before so I wouldn't know. That was the first time I saw any slides from Synthesis or Control as well. I will never listen to EDI or Shepards speeches in Synthesis and Control, so I'm afraid I won't be able to help much there.

If you're not going to get Overlord you should watch a playthrough of it on YouTube. It's Mass Effect 2's Leviathan: seemingly unimportant to the main story until you realize it's all about IT.

Speaking of synthesis, Jenkins says something quite apt in the first few minutes of ME1. This could probably relate to control as well.

www.youtube.com/watch

There is no such thing as utopia. No wonder the krogan look all green and pissy. That blood rage needs some serious channeling. They'll have to throw binary rocks at each other for kicks now.

The blue pulse I was talking about a few pages back on the geth dreadnought mission after you release Legion? It looks eerily similar to the object Rho pulse.

I know, and my the same choices Shepard was, if we take the assumption that IT is true and Harbinger/the Reapers were trying to indoctrinate him via a hallucination then in real life, if he was presented with those same choices he would survive

so here's something interesting, I just finally got around to installing the trilogy. I was scared it would delete my ME 3 data lol. So here's what it did, it installed ME1, ME2, and ME3 as three separate icons on origin.
