No, they didn't.  They just confused the hordes of mindless sheep that need everything spelled out for them.

Anyone who plays the games, reads the codex, actually listens to the squadmates conversations throughout the game instead of skipping through them to the next action sequence, who sits down, engages their brain and actually thinks for just half a second can see that there's much more going on in the final act of the game than meets the eye.

The end of the game is very cleverly put together.  The vast majority of the puzzle pieces are there.  People just need to use their god-given wit to connect the dots.  Hell, there's even some ridiculously blatant clues littered throughout the game - the datapad in London for example - that should have set alarm bells ringing before you even set foot on the Citadel.

I'm just looking forward to seeing Bioware's endgame with all this.

Same here, buddy. Same here. I'm almost to the point where any new ME3 DLC is good. I'd LOVE to have the endgame already, but I'll take what I can get at this point...

Hm. Possible reasons it's taking this long (if IT or variant is partially/true)

1. It wasn't ready at launch, i.e. more logic/programming was needed. We know (from the Bioware blog and several interviews) ME3 is probably the most complicated Bioware game they've developed so far, with all the decisions triggering different things, similar convos but plenty of different forks in plenty of different roads.

2. We aren't ready for it yet, but we're getting closer. The backlash after the game launch is evident of that, and the amount vitriol at a potentially theoretical post-ending-anything is further evidence that some of us still aren't ready for it.

Whether we're ready or not to accept it shouldn't matter, but Bioware does pay a lot attention to the forums so ... possible.

Point 1 definitely might be a big part of it, considering all the Tweets we've been getting out of Hendriks recently about finally getting an important piece of logic finished, and fine tuning it tonight. He major Tweet last night that everyone seems overlooking seems to indicate that it is directly related to the ending.

Yes, with @rick_D_knowles 's help just made a self regulating little logic system that will make [redacted] far better. :D

Yeh, add to what we already have DLC to further change equations (Leviathan, Omega, etc), adds even more work.

More time needed to calculate, assemble, polish, test, polish again. . . . . It could take this long + a few more months. I'm hoping March, a year anniversary, but maybe we'll make it in time for the holidays.

Keeping my expectations low of course, would want to be surprised.

That's what I'm assuming, they are going to have one more DLC, probably Citadel, around January, then the big reveal for the Anniversary.

That's what I figure as well, and March 5th, the day before the anniversary, is a Tuesday. It'd be perfect.

Unless the one they're working on IS what we're all waiting for. Then potential post-ending DLC hmm....

Interested in what other DLC they can make and what about. I figured Omega was gonna be one from the second you talk to Aria and DIDNT retake Omega. Leviathan could've guessed with the entries about the Dis in previous game. . . . . Know they wanted Palaven to originally be part of the game, maybe a mission there. Cerberus and their defunct mass accelator maybe? The one they find and traced to the Derelict Reaper in ME2, doesn't sound very interesting though. Dark Energy subplot, from Haestrom and all that with Tali.

I'm still hoping for a Social DLC. Parties with squadmates, date(s) with LI outside the major convos, but dependant on demand.

The simplest reason (and potentially most cynical) is that Bioware intends ME3 to lead into and build hype for ME4.  ME4 won't be appearing on this generation of consoles, so they have approximately 18 months or so to keep people waiting with baited breath for answers.

That's one of the reasons I believe the Puzzle Theory has a LOT of merit - they've left us with unanswered questions, and are leaving us to speculate... but slowly drip-feeding us more hints and clues that allow us to interpret more of what we see in the finale.

I believe it's also the reason why Harbinger has been kept wrapped up in cotton wool so far.  Bioware are leaving the Big Evil, the voice of the Reapers and the being who hunted Shepard relentlessly through ME2 for their final big surprise...

I'd love to see a social DLC pack.  More time given to the various love interests that were underexposed in ME3, more opportunities for bonding with various teammates (like the Garrus moment on the Citadel), and obviously, an opportunity to use the poker table and bar on the Normandy!  :D

Those Citadel dates (LI or not) were some of the best/most memorable parts of the game for me. At least, the most memorable that weren't depressing (i.e. Deaths). And had some of the strongest dialogue, aside from the romance scenes.

Left me satisfied and wanting more, bring it on Bioware!

That'd be so cool! A DLC made entirely of things like shooting bottles with Garrus! Posted Image

I never romanced Garrus, I haven't even done a FemShep playthrough yet Posted Image I've only done three playthroughs and I romanced Miranda/Liara/Liara, though my next will be Miri again.

Garrus has some truly hilarious romance comments (especially in ME2, but he gets more confident by ME3) and is incredibly sweet in the romance.

On all but one and a half of my Shepards (default, import, male, female, paragon, whatever) I've always romanced Liara >< I can't help it.

The other time was Ashley, mostly because I wanted to see what it was like, how convos changed in 2 and 3. Broke my heart saying No to Liara in ME1 though...

The half time may have been a bug; renegade femshep, 1 Liara, SB Liara pre-Suicide mission, waited to flirt with Garrus till after, 2 Garrus, 3 Liara. Much less heart-wrenching feels saying no to Garrus in 3, he's still yur bro.

I never romance Liara if I'm playing MaleShep. For some reason I dont like the MaleShep/Liara relationship as much as the FemShep/Liara one. And not its not just because Girl on Girl is Hot. I actually think they're a better couple.

Its gotten to the point that I frequently forget that Liara is even a possible LI for MaleShep.

I don't think I've completed the Broshep Liara arc all the way through yet so can't say for sure. No offense to Mark Meer! He's a great voice actor, I just got tired of him after my 3rd playthrough of ME2 and switched to Femshep. . .

But I see what you mean Byne, Femshep with Liara seems right out of all of them, to me anyway.

Ugh I haven't finished the Tali romance either. I could, but my Paragade hybrid Shepard is in love with Ashely by 3 so.... there's that. Poor Tali.

EDIT: clarification, romanced Ashely in 1, Tali 2, Ashely 3.

Wh--- No I haven't! Not yet anyway... Hybrid Broshep isn't at the Quarian conflict yet, but have already assured Ashely she's the only girl for him... ... I think Tali would understand, after everything that's happened. Isn't Ashely like a sister to her?

She'll say she understands, sure, but we all know thats just because she wants her true love to be happy.

She'll be extremely sad on the inside though. EXTREMELY. I hope you're happy with yourself! :crying:

But seriously, why romance Tali at all only to break her heart in ME3?

Just for the record, breaking up with Liara for Miranda is thoroughly disappointing in Mass Effect 2. She took it way to well. I wanted more tears, and induction ports.

Edit: being top isn't as gratifying as I expected it to be either.

My first playthrough I didn't have ME1 (Miri), I didn't have to deal with Liara there, but I was going to romance Miranda again in my third playthrough, but yeah, I couldn't say no to Liara...
