Interesting observation. Seems that the IT thread and the WNT thread are the only threads in the forum which don't have the yellow page thing on the side yet. (What do those symbols even mean anyway?)

Since we all seem to want to make an interactive story thing, we could just forget ME and make it about anything. Y'know as an endeavor between friends and not a coping mechanism to Biowares madness.

If it goes well you could make an ending thing after the DLC's come out.

Or we could do it to show that the IT community still is strong, and that we had the will to literally make our own ending!

And since BioWare SAYS they want us to make up our own endings...

If you hover your cursor over one of the symbols, it tells you what it's supposed to symbolize.

I just don't like the idea of writing an IT ending now because we don't have the full story yet. They supposedly had the DLCs planned in advance.

I don't know if it will ****** off Bioware, if they are go,or going along with IT, but hey they said create your own ending/speculate.

I can just see it now Estebanus that Chris will come in here and say no and some other stuff.

We'd technically be doing exactly that what they'd want us to do.

Of course. We can always expand the script, you know.

Technically we wouldn't be doing anything wrong, sooo...

And if it were animated without any in-game assets, well then there wouldn't be any copyright infringement, would there?

Smiley that would be most appropriate....a face palm one. Shame BSN doesn't have one. This will have to do...

But really guys. We need to get back on topic. I really don't feel like getting banned today. :pinched:

I don't know Estebanus,, but it would be funny, if Bioware did not want IT to create their own ending, but the other theorys can, well not sure about WNT, but it does go with IT, but that happens on Earth.

Well, people have been using Garry's mod with Mass Effect models for a while, and BioWare hasn't told them to quit it (As far as I know.).  Remember Legion and Friends?

How are things, o thread?

I thought, since Leviathan should be coming out soon, I would bring up the topic of the Thorian again. Hopefully many of you have noticed the similarities between the Reapers and the Thorian from ME1:

                                         Reapers: | Thorian:
               _____________________|________________________
                                 Indoctrination | Spores
                  Harvest/corrupt species | Absorb/replicate species
Sentient synthetic/organic hybrid | Sentient organic
Ancient/Older than we can fathom | Ancient/At least older than the Protheans (100,000+)
Cephalopodic anatomy | Arguably cephalopodic anatomy
Hibernates for thousands of years | Can hibernate for thousands of years

(I apologize for the unorthodox format, but I was feeling creative)

Those are the relevant comparisons off the top of my head. Feel free to add more.

From the Leviathan leaks, I believe we learn there is reason to believe that the Reapers failed to exterminate all of their creators. Their creators, very likely, would have gone into hiding and become scattered. The predicament we find the Thorian in seems to be rather degrading for a creature of its stature. Maybe it was hiding. Who knows?

Does anyone think there is a chance we will find out the Reapers and Thorian are related in some way? I think it would be awesome, and I believe there is sufficient evidence to at least speculate about it. They seem to be similar, yet opposing, forces. They have a strong influence among organics around them. They both take advantage of the genetic makeup of organics, as well. The means, however, that they use to utilize organics are very different.

The Reapers lie to their servants and skew their reality. The Thorian chastises its servants in order to train them. The Reapers harvest and violate organic species by turning them into monstrous abominations as well as material to replicate themselves out of. The Thorian takes a specimen and replicates its DNA by cloning it, without harming the specimen (unless you hate the color green).

It seems like they both are driven to control and utilize organics. However, the Reapers permanently damage them in order to use them as resources, while the Thorian absorbs their essence without inflicting significant harm.

Thoughts, anyone? :)

It would be awesome if the Thorians turned out to be the Reapers' creators.  That would show Star-Brat when he says we wouldn't know them. ;)  Also, apparently, the type of indoctrination used by Leviathan is different from what most Reapers use.
