I hope they remember how much everyone loved the Star Wars prequels before they go down that dead end road.

Well the last one was... bearable. Sort of... I can sit through the whole thing, any way.

I'm struggling to think of any genuine prequels that have been good. The Hobbit will hopefully buck the trend, but that doesn't really count as that was written prior to LotR.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution.  That is all.

Edit: Also, Halo: Reach.

TV? Sorry that went over my head. My brain's clearly not firing on all cylinders tonight.

What exactly was wrong with the Star Wars prequels? I, for one, quite enjoyed them.

Though I actually saw those before the "actual" trilogy.

The third one's OK. It was at least quite dramatic. But the other 2 reduced even quite competent actors like Liam Neeson and Ewan MacGregor to utter furniture. Lucas, cannot direct.

This is before "little Annie" (shudder) grew into Hayden Christiansen (double shudder).

I actually didn't mind the Prequels.  I mean, they weren't as good as the Originals, but hey, that doesn't mean they were horrible.

I especially liked the advanced special effects, stunning sets, unconventional characters. I guess I was too young to mind the fairytale story, so I enjoyed it too. Posted Image

Oh yeah, they're awesome.

Except for the parts that are terrible. Which is like every other scene.

Well, I can't put you to sleep for TWELVE days, but I have a frying pan if you're THAT desparate. ;)  Or, you know, you could get Halo 4 and kill some time with it (If you have a Xbox 360).  It's pretty darn fabulous, and I'm always looking for people I actually KNOW to play with.

And thank you both for making me feel very, very old.

I'm not quite old enough to have seen the originals in the cinema when they came out, but they were a huge part of my childhood. I suppose this is one of the reasons why my generation views the originals with rose tinted spectacles. They weren't without their flaws either. But Phantom Menace is just unwatchably ghastly for me.

I already have Halo 4, but even that is just barely keeping me occupied while waiting for Omega:lol:.

I have an Xbox too! What's you GT?

Edit: Note that there's no "i" between the "a" and the "l."  That was a mistake made when my BSN account was created.

That is the movie that made me love Liam Neeson as an actor. It also introduced my favorite charecter
, Darth Maul! It was my favorite out of the trilogy... Funny.

I find all the Prequell movies watchable. They have their bad parts and their good parts. Not as good as the original if you ask me, but far from as horrible as people wnat to make them out to be.

So is it over.

Well since it's clamd down, I have been thinking... You know that sceen when it shows Miranda in Destroy. I notice that in Destroy she smiles, but Synthesis she looks like a mindless drone, and in Control she looks like she is trying to find something.

Then there is showing Thane in all the endings. What does than have to do with Destroy? Also in a Control vid I saw Shepard remembering EDI before he/she dies. Yes she does die because that brat says " You will die. You will Control us, but..." Ya another reason why I don't think Control, or Synthesis is legit.

I'd say Empire is the best of all of them though.

Which by total coincidence was the one George Lucas didn't direct. Funny that... Maybe Disney's buy out isn't such bad news after all.^_^

Edit - I think this sums up nicely why folks hate the prequels, and the endless tinkering with the originals.
