Why do people think Empire was the best? Genuinely curious, as it's my least favourite.

Sup guys! Long time no see, huh? What's new in the BSN universe?

Empire strikes back is one of my favorite of the original trilogy. The reveal of DV being Luke's father was genius. Back then it was the indoctrination theory (without the theory part) of today. I have loved Star Wars most of my life and to have Disney as head of this series is a gamble. It could go either way. Empire wasn't directed by Lucas but this is also a
company that loves to make profit in any way possible. (Sounds familiar....) Anyone else remember direct to DVD?

I think the Vader reveal and well written plot, but less cool explosions everywhere was lost on me because I first saw the original trilogy when I was 5 or so, the age where you fast forward through the "boring" scenes. As a result, no matter how cool I know it is, it'll never really work for me.

For the same reason I'm glad I never saw Lord of the Rings until a couple years ago.

Let's hope not. I think Bioware is scared of the prospect of having to carry over 3 games worth of content into ME4. A previous cycle would be horrible, no known races and a predetermined horrible outcome. Earlier In our cycle would severely limit the narrative scope and would be a big step back with powers, tech, and weapons. It's going to be really tough to do anything but a sequel relatively far in the future so they don't have to account for everyone's decisions.

Unless they do something alongside the current games, like Halo: ODST (which is one of my favourite Halos).

maybe, maybe not, the articles I read seemed to indicate that this was just rumor,  which I certainly hope is the case.  Yet somehow it wouldn't surprise me.
At least when Darth Maul did it that was kinda cool, if a little weird and somewhat out of place.

The reason it bothers me is because it's thematically as bad a Synthesis. The series is really the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, his fall to the Dark Side, and how his son brings him back before he dies. So then they think it's a good idea to bring him back and make him evil again???

Agreed, it seems people have forgotten how to tell a good story that really gets a viewer involved and makes them think.  Instead they will do anything that means more money and less time in production.

I want my old, good stories back dammit!!!

That was beautiful, Doomsday. *tear* Also, the plot was much tighter and the acting was better. This is what happens when Lucas doesn't direct. And agreed, BleedingUranium -- all six movies were largely about the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. If this revival rumor turns out to be fact, it cheapens it all.

I enjoyed that as well most out of the prequels. The Order 66 scenes always get to me.

I like the clone troopers before they became stormtroopers because they could shoot, while the stormtroopers can't kill a thing on foot.
I know that after the clone Wars ended the Emprie recruted people because the Clone dna got srewed up.

My favourite two parts of the prequels are in RotS: The opening space battle and the Anakin/Obi-Wan battle.

Yes, Order 66 was great... came as a complete surprise to me, as I was unspoiled for that part of the story. It's so dark and sad...

As for an on-topic funny. Well, ME3 related anyway.

I was playing a gold match (multiplayer) with Banshee and Blur, and when I wanted to fire a Cobra to kill a few bosses at a critical moment, I forgot to switch back to my Cerberus Harrier and when I held the trigger, I ended up firing all six of my cobra rockets in quick succession. First thing I said was (and I didn't even do it intentionally) : "God, they're all gone..."

Many lols were had by all.

Nevermind I can't read anythread other than this one. For some reason when I see the post that people put up. I find most of them " what the hell are you talking about?" I mean me related. There are somethings that I read that I know Saren never did like for instents...

Apperently Shepard shouldn't have kill Saren because in the end the brat was right. If the brat was right, then why is it that he doesn't tell Shepard this at all.

Heck why doesn't the Catalyst talk to Shepard for f***** sack on the Citadel. Oh and why doesn't the Brat tell Harbinger where the Crucible is since it is the Citadel right, so doesn't that mean it could open the relay in dark space? I mean why else would I just uild my home and have no remote control so I could open the dark space relay, and boom.

Oh and today we were learning about Synthesis in chemestry. I almost made I coment to my girl that is a friend when she said " I actually don't know what Synthesis is mrs...." I was about to say " Let's just say it end in galactic rape, and with a gun to your head." I honestly can't stand when people now talk about Controling things, and Synthesising chemicals.
