So Omega will be like 1.97 gigs download..Which is realyl close to the limit... but! I bet when omega releases - there will be a patch released to mass effect 3 - and that patch could also contain some data for Omega. (in theory it can also be up to 2 gigs)

To me more precise, Mike Gamble tweeted 1.99 GB. So this is as large as it gets. Therefore, on Omega one can see how big an 'Awakening' can become, while allowing to bring along squad members and so on, because in Omega that's apparently not possible.
So I do wonder what takes up all that space if not only cinematics and big levels...it's not like there are as many scenarios to be taken into account at this point.

Hey guys, it's me again. Long time no see.
I'm here to call attention to one of my IT vids that I did a few months ago. It's called Mass Effect 3- Harbinger Indoctrination.
I found out a long time ago how to make Harbinger's ranting sound so much better and dream-like.
And just now i got off my lazy butt to tell ya'll.Posted Image Forgive me.Posted Image
All you have to do is go to your "Audio Manager" and under the "Sound Effects" section, change the "Environment" to Auditorium, Concert Hall, or Arena, if you have those options. Then you can hear Harbinger's voice the way it was meant to be heard.

And I see that my other IT vid, The Dark Journey Into Shepard's Indoctrination, has not been added to Byne's first post yet. How vexing.

Oh well, it's good to see ya'll again.Posted Image

I'm great thanks Masster, nice to see a lot of posters still here! Maximized, demersel, Bleeding Uranium and the mighty RIF!

Could they, in theory, release a 2gb patch for people which has a lot of DLC in it, but can't be accessed until the purchase of the DLC? That could be a way round

Good thing you posted it! The reason it isnt in the OP is because I totally forgot the name of the vid so I couldnt add it! Adding it now.

Hey, you know when people first looked through files of DLC and found secret stuff for new DLC like lines for Leviathan in EC? Were there any secret files about Omega or more future DLC?

What are the size rules, if any, on an expansion?

I believe so. I know there were lines for Omega in the original game, because the quest was taken out and expanded on, I guess. I think there were, but there were also some textures or something for Citadel in Leviathan.

Watsup Byne, Thanks for adding it. I didn't think you were here. You're usually not around. Or maybe it's because I come at the worst times. Anyways, it's good to hear from you.

Probably the main reason we can't bring squadmates is because it would require more voice acting.  Better just two squadmates then six, not including NPC's.

Also, I find it funny that BW says they have "Ended the endings" and aren't adding anything more yet Leviathan adds dialogue to the ending, does it not?

Well, there's the "endings" and there's the "endings", isn't there?  Wordplay, wordplay, wordplay.

Bioware may very well be telling the truth when they say they have finished with the endings - when you talk about everything we see post Shepard's decision.  The ending sequences, the slides etc.

But that certainly doesn't mean they can't give them more context through DLC.  It doesn't mean that by adding something via DLC, they can't change the perception of the endings.

Just like they did with Leviathan.

This is how I'm thinking. that they have no intention of changing the endings, because they have not yet revealed the true endings just yet. B)

This may sound like a silly question, but I know the XBox has a 2 GB limit, but why can't they just have the first part up to 2 GB, and have the rest of the DLC as a second part? Some stuff I've downloaded comes in 2 GB chunks, but the entire package is four 2 GB files. When you install it, you just click on the first part and it installs the other parts with it to make up the 8 GB download.

Just using that as an example.

I'm sure Bioware are working ways around it.. like the patch before Retaliation, for example, which Chris Priestly said would "set future things up".

I may need to invest in a new hard drive shortly. :S

For example, what stuff? Unless it is some other game I have never played, I'm not aware of DLC that has done this...

That is what I'm thinking they are doing. Having little bits in the dlc packs and patches that will add to future DLC.

I downloaded a trial version of the Prepar3D flight simulator from Lockheed Martin. It was 3 separate files. Two files were 2 GB and the last one was around 1 GB. You click on the first file and it installs the rest of the simulator.

Aren't you talking about PC downloads? I think there are arbitrary restrictions for Xbox DLC sizes put in place by Microsoft.

The endings could just be the three choices part. That's endings. That is done. If they move for IT then there is only one ending. You come out of indoctrination and then there's the ending. The fact that it is plural is suspicious. The game really only has one ending when you make your choice if you want to be logical about it. Using the plural refers strictly to the choices. So there are no more choices. that is done. But given they put in that nifty stargazer scene then really there is room to do more there. Time will tell.
