I'm thinking of doing a replay of fallout 1, 2 and 3. I'm gonna make my characters total a-holes. Playing as a sadistic douche can be more funny than playing a goody two-shoes character, although I do mostly prefer nice characters in the fallout games.byne wrote...

I remember back when I got fallout 1. The moment I heard the narrator say "War... War never changes", I knew this game would be awesome!
Speaking of Fallout, I'm playing New Vegas as we speak.
Two observations:
1) Setting your luck to 9 and going to the Casinos is basically cheating. I only just started this character a few hours ago and I now have 35,000 caps.
2) Mr New Vegas is nowhere near as good a DJ as Three-Dog.

Yeah, I like the Zelda games, but I've always thought the storylines were pretty stupid.
Still less stupid than ME3's storyline. It most certainly contains less plotholes.
Besides, I thought you ITers would love Zelda's lore, because it's one of the most debated, most speculated video-game lores on the internet. There has been more speculation and debates over Zelda's timeline than there ever will be about Mass Effect's ending.
Now that Nintendo has shed some light on the official Zelda timeline, I suppose there is not much to debate about anymore, other than the latest revelations in Zelda Skyward Sword.

Or how draconic the laws are in the newer versions.spotlessvoid wrote...
The only thing I really hated about fallout was that you can bludgeon an enemy to death and gain karma, but don't steal his spoon or you'll lose karma. What you can and can't "salvage" is pretty retarded at times.
Steal a spoon? KILL THE THIEF!!!
Although, that does seem to be a recurring problem in Bethesda games.

When i first picked up a copy of fallout 2 (it was my first fallout game) - it was less than legal, and it turned out to be a little altered. So i was really blown away by the surprise of it, and it set a whole different ton for the game (much less serious that fallout 1) And though i know this is not how the game starts, but check it out.

For me, my favourite LOZ game is a close one between Ocarina of time and twilight princess. I think OOT wins.
Majora's mask comes in third. It was a great game, but the entire game felt very eerie to me, and at times I was even majorly freaked out, like when fighting Majora in the end.
The whole eerie style is what made me love Majora's Mask in the first place. Also the story in that game was awesome, better than ME3's story for sure. Be sure to also read the Majora's Mask manga, it sheds some light on the history of Majora's mask and the Fierce Deity mask (assuming you managed to unlock that mask and experienced its overpoweredness).
Now that i think of it, I've never checked if BSN has a Zelda thread. Is there a Zelda thread on BSN? Perhaps in the off-topic section? Maybe I should make one!

And yeah, the story is pretty awesome. Lot's of speculations and theories have arisen around MM, some of which are truly mindblowing.
Also, I do in fact have both the OoT manga and the MM one.

Seriously, can you ever not be a total childish a-hole? Your smug arrogance would not even be half as annoying if you were even remotely correct in your comment, but you aren't.
After your "I read this thread to laugh at you guys" post, it's incredible you'd actually post this. I give you the respect you deserve: absolutely none.
Nintendo was not selling obsolete technology, they simply did not jump on the latest tech to keep their consoles affortable.
So they're the McDonald's of gaming? You're TRYING to defend them, right?
Why would we need a DVD drive if at that point in time a cartidge totally sufficed? At that point in time we did not need 10 times more storage. Even though the Playstation had an optical drive, the games on the PS were not bigger, larger or better at all.
A cartridge obviously didn't suffice. That's why so many 3rd party companies left for much greener pastures. Pay attention!
On the other side, during the N64 era, it was Nitendo that first invented both the analogue-stick and the rumble-pack, both common features that everyone uses today. The N64 was the first console to have a controller with an analogue-stick and rumble. The Playstation didn't have any of that until AFTER Nintendo released the N64. That's when Sony, as usual, copied Nintendo's brilliant ideas and released a new version of the Playstation with new controllers that had analogue-sticks and a rumble feature.
A perfect example of Nintendo being ahead of everyone else.
Rumble packs are annoying, and analog sticks are little more than thumb-sized joysticks. Nintendo did not invent the joystick. And hell, if you throw enough idiotic ideas at the wall, some are bound to stick. Remember the power glove? Or that one that looked like a bazooka?
Speaking of copycatting, have you looked at a WiiU controller next to a 360 controller?
And in what way or form did the minidisc hurt you as the customer? It didn't. The games on the Gamecube worked perfectly fine. I've also never seen a molten Gamecube, even though I worked at a video-game store at that time, selling AND REPAIRING plenty of those purple suckers. Not once did I see a customer return with a molten or overheated Gamecube.
It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that... okay, that's actually it I guess. Anyway, how is "less space for data and no multimedia usage" not a bad thing?
And while you can hate on the Wii all you want, it is a matter of fact that the Wii sold TEN TIMES MORE than both the PS3 and the Xbox360. Not only that, but Sony and Microsoft both copied Nintendo's innovations and released their version of motion-controlled gameplay as the Playstation Move and the Xbox Kinect, once again proving that Nintendo is the king of innovations and everyone else is following them.
Yep, everyone else copies Nintendo. Fortunately, everyone else apparently has a time machine.

Wii sold more? Back to the McDonald's comparison I guess.
What REALLY will happen, is that Nintendo's dual-screen gaming console will be a big succes, it will once AGAIN sell TEN TIMES MORE than the Playstation and Xbox and once again Sony and Microsoft will mimic Nintendo by releasing their own version of dual-screen gaming. Pattern recognition indeed.
Because having to look away from the real screen to do simple things that never required us to look away while an alien monster may or may not be eyeballing our anuses is a real step forward. Somehow.

The reason I dislike indoctrination theory is because it has no basis in the lore and themes of the series. Also, Bioware hasn't demonstrated the ability to write twist endings. Don't even get me started on how stupid the idea that Shepard was indoctrinated the whole game is. Or that every piece of IT evidence has a perfectly logical counter argument. Shepard just has PTSD.
Oh, you.

What? That can't be! The ME wiki says that there's absolutely NO relationship between the PTSD asari and Joker's sister. And the ME wiki is NEVER wrong!
