you need proof to discuss stuff about blathering about proof!  Not only that you need proof that we're on page 6,488!

Couldnt help it

Wow, I've been gone for a couple days and miss about 50 pages! lol What have I missed?

I saw CmdrShep posting about ME3 Wii U. As popular as that title seems to be on that console, I can't see them NOT releasing the DLC and Trilogy at some point. It might just be that EA has to get used to developing for the console. And they would basically have to develop the other two games from the ground up. I wouldn't be surprised at all of Wii U doesn't see the Trilogy until closer to ME4's release.

Other than that, have I missed anything important? Unimportant? Interesting?

So... synthesis, with creating the Geth thrown in, and the entire point is "spiritual self enlightenment"?

We got a new and suprisingly tenacious troll, that is what moved the threat forward so much. Stick around, he will probably be back later.

Also Heretic-Hanarr showde up again, litteralist, but the kind you can actually talk to.

Oh, I had absolutely no intention of going over all of them. Christ, I didn't realize I'd miss close to 60 pages of trolling...I think we were at, like, 1927-28 Monday when I was last here...lol

However unpleasant to some it might sound, this is the future that awaits us all.

Full blown transformation of humanity into a new cybernetic/human framework. This is sponsored by the UN. They are advocating straight up synthesis. And they want to rush us into it.

Yeah, because our species is totally ready to take that irreversible step in the next 30 years.

Just because some technological advances are good doesn't mean we need to radically transform humanity anytime soon. And the population issue is nothing but elitist bull**** spewed by collectivist, finance capitalists, and despots. Modernization and social justice leads to negative population growth and stabilization. Corporatism, whether by ceo, monarch or tyrant, stands in direct opposition to resource management, technological advancement, and individual growth. They claim to represent order, that their rule is needed to keep us safe, but they are nothing more than elitist psychopaths pursuing only that which aides their own agenda. The same ones who perpetrate war across the planet are advocating a new solution to the "human problem"

Does any of this sound familiar?

Anyways, the point is that I'm not arguing that erasing the line between man and machine isn't an inevitability, only that this cavalier attitude of rushing into it headfirst is a terrible idea.

I'm more interested in the tech part of the change rather than the socio-economic aspects that come along. I agree that it shouldn't be forced on people but I guess with ever advancing technology and its adoption by the general public such changes to most of the aspects of human life will occur.

holy gigantic pi**flaps batman.

The only real reason i would see for this is if this planet is doomed and we have to make plans to leave.  Orgmenting our bodies with cybernetic tech to enable us to survive for longer in harsher environments.  Maybe there is something they are not telling us?

will putting a bag over your head help?  No.

Regarding the topic at hand...

I'm at work and can't see the video, but there's no need to go as far as synthesis for a " Full blown transformation of humanity into a new cybernetic/human framework".

Nowadays we have people with prostethic arms and legs, sometime ago I saw the new generation of those on the news and man.... it's amazing how far they have gone.
We also have deaf people that can hear again thanks to "cybernetics" implants.
People whose heart still beats thanks to technology ( I don't know how you call it in english... "marcapasos" anyone? )

As technology advances things that are the exception will become the norm and before we realize it people will have shiny green eyes and green wires showing under their skin XDDD

Anyway, what I wanted to comment on was about Nazara and Saren at the end of ME.
Sorry if it has been commented before.

Nazara takes control over Saren's body and when you kill Saren's husk looks like Nazara is affected somehow, that allows the fleets to attack Nazara and destroy it.
Nazara being weakened by Saren's death has been a running speculation for years but I remember it being confirmed before ME3 came out.

So... we have Shepard running toward the beam and gets hit by Harbringer blast... Indoctrination process starts.
If we assume that Harbringer himself is "connecting" to Shepards mind ( like Nazara with Saren ), we can assume that if we choose destroy we break the link with Harbringer on our behalf, so... may be that weakened Harbringer in a way that if you have enough EMS your fleets can successfully attack and destroy Harbringer.

We don't know how Reapers work as an army, but usually loosing your General is bad, really bad news.

So Shepard breaks indoctrination.
Harbringer weakens.
If high EMS the fleets destroy Harbringer -> Breath scene
If low EMS the fleets can't take advantage of Harbringer weakened state -> no Breath scene

According to the Codex the Reapers dont seem to have the flaw that disabled Sovereign in Mass Effect 1 anymore. Off course as we havent actually seen a Reaper assume direct control we cannot be completely certain.

i'm currently working on an attempt to explain IT using by synthesis theory. It'll be huge. So huge i seriously doubt anyone with the writing talents of mr hudson would even dare try to pull it off.

Abnocte....there is a huge leap between what you're talking about, and actually introducing cybernetic tech into our brains. They are advocating using nanotechnology to radically alter our brains to the point of being artificial. They literally talk about uploading our consciousness to machines. I'm all for rational scientific progress, put this idea that humans are inferior beings that need to be transcended through a technological metamorphosis is profoundly unsettling and deeply misguided..

I agree with you, I was just pointing out that thecnology is part of our daily lives one way or another and most of the time its almost a seamless process. Now what they are saying sounds bizarre, but maybe someday it would not ( to the new generations ).

I personally think the idea that humas are inferior beings so we have to trascend trough a technological metamorphosis based on technology created by these inferior beings is laughlable.
