inorite. What's the point of being an athiest if you can't tell everyone in the galaxy about it?

There is such an option in ME3. But it is much more sublte.

You're confusing me pointing out your misuse of that quote with arguing against the point you were trying to make with it. I don't even feel like debating what you are saying. All I was saying was that using a quote pointing out the inherent fallibility of the intellect in this situation is absurd. That quote could be used in any debate on any topic and still be true, but that wouldn't make it pertinent. Saying using mental constructs creates misconceptions during a debate of fiction, which is by definition a mental construct, is utterly pointless. And if you truly saw the meaning in it, you should have sat your butt down to meditate.
Wow, you love to do the passive aggressive stir up trouble bit. Really should seek therapy for that.

Guess what? Jack's dialogue in Mass Effect 3 changes a bit if you chose her to be the biotic bubble girl at the Collector base.
I always pick her to hold the bubble anyways. The first time she said "I kept thinking 'let the Salarian do it!'" I thought BioWare forgot that Mordin was no longer a biotic.
He was once though.

I always wanted to have Jack do the bubble. Never did though. Would be interesting to see how what she says differs from what samara says.
What's the dialogue difference?

Secondly, I realize this will make me look like a complete tinfoil crazy, and it proves nothing, but it's too cool not to bring it up.
Here we go.
Having dug into a lot of dialogue recently, I can't help but notice there's a lot of 4th wall breaking stuff in the game. Stuff with a double meaning.
From Ashes - Eden Prime
Three datapads.
First dapatad:

Eden Prime = Earth
Colony = Galaxy
Dr. William Cambiata = Commander Shepard
Cerberus = Reaper
Is this an explanation that the ending is a Reaper trap? It is completely consistent with IT.
Second datapad:

Colony = Galaxy.
Is this an explanation that the Reapers are actually with far fewer than we think? Do they only have a large presence in the 'south-west' of the galaxy to make it seem like they're with much more? Is this a clue that we could have a conventional victory?
Third datapad:

Maintain the story as long as possible? Bioware PR plan?
I propose we call controllers & synthesizers the 'pacified neighbourhoods' from now on. xD
I mean seriously, could this just be Bioware subliminally telling us that the ending was a trap, conventional victory is possible and that we'll have to wait until they stop maintaining the story?
One more thing.
At the start of the mission, my Earthborn Shepard said this:
"The city on Earth where I grew up was hard and dirty. I can see it as a war zone."
(I'm sure Banshee and Blur will love this, with their Rio theory. If they didn't already know about this one.)

In ME1, it was a chat with another human discussing religious beliefs. It made good sense in the context of the conversation. In ME3, you're talking to a synthetic life form struggling with a quandary over whether it is a valid form of life just like organics. Using that opportunity to spout off about your personal religious beliefs would make you a giant flaming ******. Whether you're religious or athiest, nobody likes an **** who jams his beliefs down everyone's throat. Don't be that guy. Never be that guy.

There's virtually no difference. The dialogue is either the same or nearly the same, and the animations are the same. Both end with them weakening and using all their willpower to make it to the end and then smashing the bubble outward to blast off the enemies.
On a related note, my favorite dialogue difference based on your choices at the Collector Base is the difference in Jacob's dialogue if you select him for the tech specialist. If you don't, then he's Jacob. If you do, then he has no dialogue because he's dead.

The thing is, if I believed in souls (which I dont), I'd probably say that no, robots dont have souls. That doesnt make them any less valid as a form of life though.
I guess I just dont like the implication that having a soul is what makes one alive.

I think It's a bit of a moot point, because telling Legion he has a soul is like reading from the prayer book with Thane's son. You don't do it because you believe it, you do it out of respect for your dying friend who just gave their life to save others.

That would have been the case with the Geth if they didn't use the Heretic part
Yeah without the Heretics I could understand mistrusting them more, but with the split up that there was it is not the case.
The Geth siding with the Reapers is something i find understandable given their species is beeing wiped out. As we are told they panicked and turned to the Reapers. But after that they were no longer free as we learn, controlled by the Reapers.
But the primary thing speaking against them still beeing Reapers controlled is the events that follow. If the geth (and by extension Legion since he is the one you ultimately have to trust on this) were still controlled then there is so many places they could have betrayed us and essentially ended the war in a moment.
Hell they have one of the strongest fleets in the galaxy, if they turned on us as we engaged the Reapers over earth that battle would be over long before it began.
As I have said before I look at Legions use of the Reaper code similarly to the Thanix cannon. It wasent technology which was given to use, but an analysis of how the tehcnology worked which led to the creation of our own variety. essentially we recogniced the principals behind the tehcnology and used it ourselves, not the technology itself.
Do i have any poof of this, no, but it all comes down to trusting Legion and the fact that the geth did not trun upon us (or the Quarians) despite ample opputunity to do so.
Thanks for pointing this out again, I wish everyone would remember this.

Beautiful scene. I think I was moved to tears the first time I encountered it in ME 3.
David Archer: "I've been counting"
Shepard: "Anything particular?"
David Archer: "The number of days you've lengtheded my life."

Right. Thats why it doesnt bother me as much as when my Shepard suggested Mordin was in heaven looking down on us. Thats totally out of character for my Shepard, and she's not just doing it to make someone feel better.

Its right after Mordin dies, when you're talking with Wrex and Eve. The other option is something like "He got the job done." which I've never picked so I dont know what Shep actually says.
