Ooo! The desicion chamber could be Harbinger's "confrontation" with Shepard! And Shepard will win it by resisting the indoctrination attempt, allowing him to gain "root access" to Harbinger, where he is afforded the opportunity  to eliminate Harbinger.

Okay fine, I don't want to annoy the crap out of everybody, so here goes.

Shepard: EDI, you're in Dr.Eva's body?

EDI: Not all of me, but I have control of it. It was not a seamless transition.

Shepard: Transition? You blacked out on us there, for a while.

EDI: Correct. When we brought this unit on board, I began a background process to search for its information on the Prothean device. This eventually triggered a trap - a backup power source and CPU activated, and the unit attempted physical confrontation. Fortunately, I was able to gain root access and repurpose it as I saw fit. During this process, it struggled. Thus, the fire.

What if this is ending foreshadowing?

What if this is an analogy for what happens to Shepard in the destroy ending?

Harbinger attempts to take control of Shepard's body, searches his mind for information on the crucible. Shepard's subconsciousness resists with the destroy option, and Shepard attempts to fight back. Still, Harbinger managed to get a foothold in Shepard's mind, even though he struggled. The fire refers to the explosion in the destroy ending.

If this is indeed an analogy intended to foreshadow what happens to Shepard in the destroy ending, then that means that Harbinger did manage to indoctrinate Shepard, even though Shepard resisted. So in control and synthesis, you're done for. In destroy, you will still be indoctrinated to a certain degree, but you'll have a fighting chance because you resisted.

This would be completely in line with what I took from the third Eden Prime datapad yesterday, which seems to be talking about putting Shepard in charge as the only person who survived the Reaper trap.

BTW, guys, I rewatched the endings today (EC high EMS Destroy) - and I am 100% sure that all the EC slides and and extended ending is just an extended dream. When the narrator talks about those who gave their lives to make this victory possible - you are showed flasbecks of your dead squaddies - in the version i saw there was EDI, Ligion, Miranda, and Mordin. Well the thing is that ALL of them are shown how Sheoard would have seen them - from his point of view. Mordin is even shown with a shroud elevator in the background. There were only two people present for that scene. Mordin and Shepard, and no one else. So this flashback of Mordin - is Shepards last memory of Mordin. If it is his memory you are seing - this means shepard is alive to dream it. He is not alive in control and synthesis. That means all of them are illusions - Shepard dreaming on what would happen.

Not necessarily. At least we'll have a fighting chance. Controllers and synthesizers are done for, period. Destroy Shepard might have to kill himself in the end though.

I think it's interesting, and if true, all of this (including the Eden Prime datapads), would paint the following picture:

- Bioware is lying for as long as they can about the ending. At some point, either through DLC or through ME4, the story will continue.
- The only ending in which Shepard has a chance, is destroy. He'll still be indoctrinated, but have a fighting chance to kick Harbinger out of his mind. Controllers and synthesizers have been succesfully pacified.
- The Reapers are not as strong in numbers as they appear to be. They maintain a large presence in the heavily populated areas of the galaxy to keep up the appearance of an overwhelming force. Conventional victory is a possibility.

I personally think they won't be able to wrap this up in a simple DLC. 

So I guess I'm calling it:

IT is true, and we'll fight the Reapers with Shepard in ME4.

Does anyone know where I can find transcripts of the datapads you can find during Priority: Earth? IIRC, each one of them hints at the author's indoctrination in some shape or form..

It is true. It was obvious back when we found out that Guardian VO is in fact both Male and female Shepard. 
We will definitly fight the reapers in ME4 but it might not be obvious right from the start of it (the way things worked in ME2)
I think Shepard will be just one of possible heroes of ME4. (DA:Origins style) 

Remeber -back in ME2 - If we loose Shepard, Humanity might well follow. If your Shepard dies in ME3 - no human pratogonist for you. )))

Interesting idea Doomsday. It’s certainly possible and it would explain the breath scene to an extent

Also, personally I don’t think ME4 will be based around Shepard or the Reapers. I’m more of the belief we’ll be getting an expansion pack or something to ME3 that will wrap things up so Bioware can keep their word that ME3 will be the end to Shepards story but also follow through with all of the things they said would be in ME3, like the importance of the Rachni etc.

And if none of this is the case and implementation of IT or an expansion on the ending isn’t in their overall plans I’m going to quote JM and Evil Chris here, “Plans change”

If there’s little to no interest in ME4 or still too much bitterness and distrust towards the ME team, like I’m seeing in various threads to do with ME4 right now, something will have to be done to get the fans back on board and IT, or conventional victory, or both even, are the only ways that the series can be salvaged.

@FFZero, if they are planning on having ME4 without Shepard, I would hope that they wrap up Shepards story properly, whether with a DLC or expansion.
