Sure that it wasn't Halloween when the Reapers hit Vancouver? And someone also had birthday?

But yeah, I get it, that still isn't a reason for such 'useless' additional detail on the map design.

Seems right with Cake and all but whats the easter egg basket doing there? Unless its a basket of fruit, in that case whats a easter egg basket of fruit doing there?
And the heart shaped box of chocolates (never know what you're gonna get) as well. Huh, maybe someones anniversary + birthday + Halloween..... + a basket.

Is there really anything strange about those things? I mean families of patients usually bring many useless (there) things to hospitals.

Lol useless items for all the major holidays of the year at the same time? If it was hospital kind of stuff it'd be teddy bears, flowers, and cards or something.

Yeah, that's weird indeed. A janitor forgot to throw them away then or the dream is collapsing and different seasons start forming single reality. Posted Image

Maybe dark energy is collapsing time and we need Shepard to wake up and stop it =]

1. May have just been done for fun,
2. May hint at months for DLC release dates (SP or MP)
3. May hint at special events occuring (MP) during those months. Example: Easter egg hunt, find (x) amount easter eggs for commendation packs and promotional weapons/equipment.. . . . It could happen  [/shrug]

I like that one. October, December, February, April, Cake? When's Cake? This also means Leviathan is almost certainly August.

That somehow reminded me that the last OP was special. Taking back Earth. Why would BioWare go to such lengths as putting a counter on BSN (never done before) if they didn't want the people to anticipate something big?

Gonna be honest witcha, if the real rest of the story turns out to incorparate such sci-fi, my love in Bioware will be not only renewed but ten-folded. ME needs to come back to scifi roots or else it'll fall victim to the powers that be just like Dead Space will do with Dead Space 3.

Contemporary, believable science, not 60's, 70's sci fi :D.
What ME1 tried to do, what ME2 almost did (Haestrom's sun) and what ME3 put aside behind the curtain.

Harbinger collapsing our Universe's brane into another to form a deadly string discontinuity tearing everything apart.

Lol I do miss that element from ME1. And the Haestrom's sun thing really had me intrigued. Sad that they dropped it.

Pessimistic response: As they said, ME3 is a war story and exploration is of less priority.

Optimistic response: ME3 is over with the game on the disc and such a DLC would have to play out post-ending...and we come back to IT.

Could be Thanksgiving but that's usually pumpkin pie, if anything they coulda put a big turkey in teh map but that wouldn't have been very subtle. New Years Eve makes some more sense, but not by much.

There's gotta be some kind of holiday centric to chocolate + strawberry + cake, maybe someones birthday... an important one?

Well there's a champagne-type bottle on the map next to the pumpkin, possibly signifying New Year's. Strawberries are more of a summer harvest, not fall. And several of the choco-strawberry cakes on google image search are decorated as birthday cakes. So maybe ME's birthday, BioWare's birthday, an important person's birthday... hmm when is Shepard's birthday? lol

With the above months I listed, that's every two months consistently. Could the cake be related to something in June?

If it's a children's hospital, then it could mean birthday for a kid. And since the only kid-like individual we know in ME is the Catalyst, it could mean the birth of the Reapers? So, Leviathan, maybe?
