I know you are trying to help MB but it's useless. Sometimes people are just too stubborn.

hey the truth sux sometimes, until bioware says IT has merrit this is all smoke and mirrors and since they shot it to hell with EC, that seems unlikely   -also consider how bad the book  "Asension" was messed up vs all the other books, is it a far throw to believe they just messed up?

The truth is that they never denied IT, at PAX or anywhere else.  That's just idiocy that you literalists like to throw around because you're bad at figuring things out.  And they screwed up DECEPTION, not Ascension.  Stop screwing up while accusing other people of screwing up.  That last shred of credibility is breaking FTL trying to get away from you.  The author of DECEPTION had nothing to do with the game, or really anything else.  He was an independant writer they contracted after Karpyshyn had left the company (and the gaming industry).

I mean, I'm all for on topic discussion, but we've just had a ton of pages of non-stop speculations. It's only logical that people at some point take a break and start socializing for a bit.

I find it amazing that we still manage to come up with new stuff and/or find new angles to discuss old stuff.

Good thing about 100 pages back for some hundred pages there were posts about how there is nothing new and we have discussed about everything and before Omega we there just isn't enough to discuss :D
Love it.

Its more the presenting false information as being true than your disagreeing with IT, really.

You're not "talking about IT", you're spouting lies, misinformation, and bad spelling.

Don't worry, it's either "that is nonsense" or "we ignore it". They are not more open to discussion then any other group.

Megumi, you've been way more negative than usual lately. Whats up with that?

It's the sense of superiority about everyone here sends out. And the regular bashings of other threads that don't conform to the limited view presented here.

Hey hey Meg as has point, but just calm down guys Meg means well, but we need a break sometimes. Besides Meg is just amazed we haven't been shut down since the first Thread/ not be shut down.

Besides we are nice to Bioware, and praise them if they did do IT, or are doing IT. Also besides we do get shut down once we reach a limit, so in a way we are shut down for off topics through out the thread, once we reached a sertin point. Also should we pm chris again like we did in Mark 2.

A heads up would be nice, and it would give Byne time to create Mark 4.

No, not at all. What makes someone a troll is how they talk to others and their behavior.

Troll: In Internet slang, a troll[/b] is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

You forgot about the prejudice towards literalists here.

Yeah, and you know what? I took your advice to heart, started a new playthrough and dug up all kinds of new stuff the past few days.

So thanks for that. :)

Now cheer up. :P

I for one don't feel superior. I just like to post funny memes about indoctrination. Don't take it too seriously. ;)

Of course not, because any argument against IT that can be refuted only makes the theory stronger. We welcome people challenging the theory - so long as they give examples of their reasoning, and use clear examples from an in-game perspective to attempt to make their point.

However, coming into the thread and saying...

badmojo88 wrote...
...more IT really? please someone rick roll this now and put an end to this suffering! lol

...isn't actually making an argument, or stating a case, or trying to disprove anything for that matter.

It's simply being childish.

However, it does serve to bump the thread to the top of the forum again, so thanks for that at least.

I just don't understand why are some people so hellbent to make the IT thread stop...

I see of no reason, why the IT thread should ever be dropped...
well unless the last DLC comes out and it has nothing worthy in it... but that answer comes later...

Now from an outsider point of view, at times the thread can do itself and IT no favours when it accepts any and all pro-IT evidence, irrespective of content, and dismisses any anti-IT evidence, irrespective of value.

But at its worst, this mentality lets the thread down badly.  Some of the stuff suggested as pro-IT is (imo) complete garbage, and it makes the whole thing look worse as a result.  You guys may not care because you're already convinced of IT, but there are plenty of people who lurk on this thread yet hardly, or even never, post.  If you decide on any evidence principally on the check-box value of if it's pro- or anti- IT, then imo you can sometimes hurt the theory pretty badly.

What a lot of people don't understand is that there is not much point saying "Oh look I found something that could or could not be interpreted as IT evidence" everytime we find something. There are a few reasons for this:
1. It would be a bit redundant; most people in the thread know that.
2. A lot of it is just for fun - since we've already found most of the big points.
3. We're at the point where we are looking at many things that may be nothing because we have found so much already. Is some a meaningless coincidence? Sure. But we don't know what (as of yet).
4. "From an outsider point of view" Well, most of the people here are not outsiders. I'd recommend outsiders read the OP or ask questions before judging. If that's way too hard for them then I don't really care for their company here anyway.

Anyone want to add anything to that?

Banshee good to see you again. I say we send Chris a message again, for the heads up about closing the thread because we are already in the 2000's. Not saying right now, but in a week from now.

Yeah and if that doesn't work you resort to throw out some questions that have no relevance to the original issue and logical connections, just to have something to refuse.

If you really feel that way, why bother posting in here at all?  You may feel happier if you just ignored the thread altogether.

Oh, now I see.  You're still upset that people disagree with your opinion of the Stargazer epilogues.  Here's a tip:  not everyone you meet in your life is going to agree with your opinion.
