About the refuse ending has anyone heard this line during a playthrough? Because there are a few lines in the TLK file that, as far as I know, don't trigger right now.

I don't remember that line from any of the Youtube walkthroughs I've seen. Maybe it will be available after Omega?

So, due to an unfortunate phantom mishap, my entire MP team just died on round 10 of silver.

watch this clip from TDKR. It's when Bruce is in the pit, now bane talks about " Your punishment must be more server." and he will give Gothem false hope, and when Gothem is ashes, and when you have suffered enough. You then have my permission to die.

Think about the endings.

No, but I have also seen one saying:
"I won't decide based on some arbitrary decisions you've made." Almost at least. I think it was in the Levi files.

I don't know, I remember the extended cut had files labeled as test and in one of them the Catalyst asks Shepard for her own solution, it doesn't get any further than that though. It's probably just cut stuff.

I would not get my hopes up puzzle theory or not the ending does not make any good dam sense if they go with refuse. If literaly, then it's pointless we can just kill the Reapers right there, and your brother even agrees.

Right, I think it went like this:
Shepard: "I have a better solution"
or
Kid: "I am prepared to hear your solution"

Banshee let's think about this. Javik said along the lines .

Javik: Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters..
Then javik says :The silence is your answer.

Well doesn't Shepard stay quiet when the brat get's angry and says

So be it.

Refuse is keeping Shepard's honor in tact,

In Refuse Shepard is now standing in the ashes of trillions of lives. Now ask them if honor matters. Remember refuse was only added to let people refuse the brat, but if Destroy ending is breaking free of Indoctrination, and if you look at we came up with this before refuse, and Bioware if they planned IT, was using Destroy right.

That's probably one of the best anti-refuse quotes ever. Sacrifices will have to be made to destroy the Reapers. Trying to save everyone is why a lot of people chose Control or Synthesis, and it's the same reason some pick Refuse.

Whether we can actually win conventionally doesn't matter, because this isn't happening. It's a test of what Shepard wants to do and what he's willing to sacrifice.

Banshee even you can't argue against this.

I still like my new viewpoint of paragon destroy vs renegade destroy. Besides, who said it has to be one or the other? You're being a bit close-minded MB.
Both could work at once in literal or IT, with varying factors and degrees of effeciency.

Banshee refuse can't work. If they add more onto it, and the other choices are just Indoctrination attempts, then they continue the story right there. No. If the do an IT puzzle theory for refuse, they first have to have Shepard wake up. Only then it can work, if not then no.  It's like Deception theory mixes with puzzle Theory. Not a good couple, but IT, and puzzle theory without refuse, or add a breath scene to refuse/ add more to Destroy breath scene, then yes it could work.

Refuse is Paragon-stupid, it's what Batman would pick. It's trying to take a moral highground in a situation you shouldn't.

Besides, I summed this up earlier, Refuse has no place in LT or IT, only DT, and DT is retarded.

Banshee even you can't argue against this.

I will try.

1. Whether it is happening does matter, because Shepard thinks it's real.
2. Shepard thinks she can win in refuse. The issue of sarifice becomes less black and white. Shepard obviously knows they will take losses without the crucible, so does that not say Shepard is willing to sacrifice?

I'd say refuse is almost on par with destroy. Almost.

That's an idea I had for ME4. Add in Leviathan thralls and you have a whole game of questioning your every move, every ally. The feeling of paranoia would be incredible.

Yeah I thought so too. Instead of several 'minifactions' of ME2 (between 3 merc bands and 2 types of Reaper/Collector groups), and 3 factions of ME3 (Reaper, Geth, Cerberus, and now Collectors in MP so far), there would be:

-Husks (including more types)
-Indoctrinated (many types here)

It would also be less 'soldier' oriented, and more 'hidden war', with lots of insane situations, now that the threat of indoctrination is open to explore, after Shepard ;) ;) ;)

But yeah, just an idea.
