It does seem to arguably imply that High EMS Destroy has no real drawbacks.  However, the endings also imply that EDI and the Geth do not survive the Destroy ending.

Harbinger stated in Mass Effect 2 through one of it's "taunts" that Quarians were considered due to cybernetic augmentation. That would make them partly synthetic. Yet they live in destroy.

Besides, if you haven't actually set off the Crucible yet (non-literal and IT), versus if you take it literally, it's already been fired, then EDI and the Geth are just fine.

Remember how we found Coats dead on the Citadel and yet he's alive in every ending?

I was going to note that the first part after beaming up is similar in description to a Reaper "processor" ship, which is used for mass DNA harvesting. All those pools of black liquid and such.

Avernus Station, huh?

"Lake Avernus is a volcanic crater lake in southern Italy, believed by the ancient Romans to be the entrance to Hades."

Who else is betting we'll be going there?

@Bill thanks for posting that, ditto Byne.

From your post is an interesting plot development:

The Elbrus - When Omega comes under attack from Reaper creatures called Adjutants that broke free from Cerberus's research bases beyond the Omega 4 Relay, the Elbrus is dispatched in advance of a Cerberus fleet to aid Aria T'Loak in eliminating the threat. The ship makes quick work of the unarmed transport vessels that the Adjutants had hijacked to reach the station. It also leads the defense of Omega from a second wave of armed Adjutant ships. The sheer number of attackers overwhelm the Elbrus, however, forcing General Petrovsky to take it through the Omega 4 Relay to prevent it from being destroyed and to stop the Adjutants at their source: Avernus Station.

Once there, the Elbrus is used to clear the Adjutants from Avernus Station's exterior and acts as a base of operations for Cerberus forces to reclaim the station. During the return trip to Omega, Aria escapes confinement and hijacks the ship. When it docks, she escapes before Cerberus troops can kill her

Avernus Station - At some point, a colony of Reaper creatures known as Adjutants broke loose on Avernus Station, overwhelming the personnel. The Adjutants reach the transport ships docked at the station and cross the Omega 4 Relay, arriving at Omega. Some Cerberus operatives manage to survive the initial outbreak on Avernus and flee to the station's exterior, in the hopes that the high levels of cosmic radiation will kill the Adjutants; they are proven wrong, and the Adjutants follow them. They are saved by the timely arrival of the Elbrus, a Cerberus warship commanded by General Oleg Petrovsky. Petrovksy and Aria T'Loak assist the troopers in eliminating the remaining Adjutants and re-securing the station.

Adjutants - In 2186, a Cerberus transport ship returning from a trip to one of the organization's research bases beyond the Omega 4 Relay docks with Omega and releases dozens of Adjutants onto the station. The creatures proceed to attack everything in sight, and advance to the doorstep of the Afterlife Club, the seat of Aria T'Loak's rule over Omega.
It is later revealed that Cerberus had kept a colony of Adjutants within its research base at Avernus Station, but somehow they had broken free and were able to take control of the base's transport ships to escape. Although the first wave of attackers was stopped, more lurked on the other side of the Omega 4 Relay, learning to control the better-armed Cerberus ships. Aria and Cerberus general Oleg Petrovsky eventually arrive at Avernus Station and contain the Adjutants, but the damage has been done; the Adjutants' escape was orchestrated by the Illusive Man to distract Aria and allow Cerberus to conquer Omega.

Adjutants have the apparent ability to "infect" other beings with their Reaper-originated technology, as seen when a salarian that was attacked by one of the creatures quickly transforms into a new Adjutant. When an Adjutant first transforms, however, it is significantly weaker and needs more time to rewrite the genetic code of its body. This is the ideal time to eliminate the transformed. The only way to stop the transformation from occurring appears to be to kill those who are "infected" or decapitate an infected corpse. The main goal of the Adjutants is to transform other life forms, and to that end they will try to avoid outright killing others since the dead are useless to them.

By the way I think this whole paragraph will be the central theme of Omega (after I just now read it LOL) along with what is Omega, and what TIM was doing with Omega/Avernus Station

Okay um I read a post on a thread, and somebody said " The Catalyst could save us all." Um I think people are actually likeing the Catalyst, although it is a Synthesis supporter that said this.

They're in a minority. They're fun to ridicule though, like fundamentalists.

It's unfortunate to say, but Synthesis is a lot like a realisation of a final destination of life/existence as imagined by many religions (in ME and real life).  A kind of final Utopia where conflict and strife are no longer necessary.  Hope I don't offend people too much when I suggest that Shepard jumping into that beam is as egotistical as declaring oneself the new Messiah and bringing all life into the new age, the day of reckoning, etc. etc.

The idea of "the Catalyst saving us all" runs true to the idea of salvation etc., another idea strongly rooted in various religious beliefs.

Very late reply: I actually agree with this. My second thought (first being 'what the heck was that?') when finishing first was 'Synthesis is actually a good idea at it's very base but the execution was truly awful'. My dislike for it increased as I discussed it with people, then EC came out and I couldn't stop laughing.

That's not true. Dead bodies are decomposed by bacteria and fungi. Then the energy content soaks into the ground and the fauna and flora of the Earth live upon it to create new life. Obviously, Harbinger lies to Shepard. Posted Image

Obviously Harbinger meant that the dead are useless to him.

If I'd say "Paxxton you're f*cking useless" I would of course mean that you're useless to me. That obviously doesn't mean you can't be useful elsewhere.

So no, Harbinger isn't really lying in this case.

How's it going? Safe from Megumi's martyr complex yet, or is she still lurking in a corner cutting herself and waiting for the chance to jump up and act persecuted?

I, sirs and madams of the thread, put forward to you that we assign sleeping schedules. This way the thread moves at a constant and follow-able rate. It will be enforced by the dream police, who go door by door ensuring that people are sticking to the sleeping schedule. All who agree, say I!

... I am very bored.

Aye. I vote everyone sleeps between the hours of 12 and 10am Australian Eastern Standard Time (No daylight savings). Deal?

Edit: Just realised that would defeat your purpose of slowing the thread. But still everyone will be here when I'm awake!

It is decided then! While I allow you guys to have an initial opportunity to self delegate sleeping times I shall be tailoring the dream police uniform. What do you think goes better with lime spandex, orange or red buttons?

Seems a bit like overkill to me. I think a navy blue sash would go well with it. As for headware, I think one of those **** storm trooper helmets would suit.

Edit: Haha I didn't know BSN automatically censored stuff.
Edit^2: Should we stop being off topic, or is mark IV due anyway?

I think the headgear should be night caps. Don't they just scream intimidation? :wizard::police: <- switch the hats.

But honestly Bioware can't expect us to stay on track when they're hiding this mystical Omega trailer from us. I want it nooooooooooow...
I'm just praying they're trying to keep it due to spoilers. They're pretty confident of this DLC if it's $15 with no trailer...

Edit: I think I'm going to bed. If I'm bored enough I might actually release some perliminary dream police costume sketches. (lies) Nighty night people.
