The exact quote is:

Javik: "It seems you believed Protheans built the mass relays. The Reapers are cunning in their deception. Allowing life to flourish, century upon century, letting us believe ourselves the masters of the cosmos. Then the truth becomes known. There are monsters in the dark spaces. And we are their prey."

The great thing about IT being true would be that, for once, the conspiracy theorists got it right!

One can hope. That's why this talk of the next DLC after Omega has gotten me excited. I genuinely think we're getting close to something important.

At the moment my preferences are:

High EMS Destroy > Refuse > Low EMS Destroy >>>>>>>> Control >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Synthesis

Mine are:

Renegade Control > High EMS Destroy > Paragon Control > Low EMS Destroy

Synthesis and Refuse are so far below Low EMS Destroy that it wouldn't fit in a single post if I had to express it with the '>' symbol.

Well we agree on synthesis at any rate.:D

What's your reason for disliking it? The moral considerations, or the implausibility factor?

Reposting my recent finds, fixed the quote.

Replace Reapers with Bioware and this explains that they're deceiving us by letting us think we won and are masters of the cosmos (endings), and they make us wait forever, believing that. Then eventually they will reveal the Reapers are still out there, and it's not over.

Note: It's completely consistent with the implications of the Eden Prime datapads.

This quote nicely supplements this:

Garrus (after Grissom Academy) : "If they're lucky, they grew up thinking the galaxy is basically a decent place. Some rough spots here and there, but for the most part, life makes sense. Now they find out it was all a lie. They wake up to see these things in the dark that just want to destroy everyone they ever cared about. If they survive, there'll be a lot of angry orphans out there looking for answers."

Check this one. (This applies to what we were discussing earlier)

Javik: "Only the foolish mourn the loss of innocence. It is inevitable. The galaxy has never rewarded the naive."

This seems to completely foreshadow the naivety of the control/synthesis options, where you decide to trust the Reapers so you can save everyone. At some point it will be revealed to be a trap that people fell for (loss of innocence), which is not something that should be seen as deplorable. A naive course of action shouldn't be rewarded.

From Ashes is the DLC that foreshadows the return of Shepard, who (like Javik), will rise from ashes, as an avatar of vengeance.

Hence the name of the DLC (it has a double meaning, like everything in the DLC) and all the revelations and hints in the From Ashes content, the Eden Prime datapads, to Shepard's return and the war not being over.

From Ashes is the key to IT.

Mind = blown?

#icalledIT

Mass Effect 4 will be a direct sequel to Mass Effect 3. The war isn't over. The story will continue where we thought it ended. And we will play as Shepard.

Other recent finds:

Private Campbell: "When this war is over, I hope we find every race that sat back while we bled, and get some payback."

Private Westmoreland: "That's a great plan... follow war with more war."

Mass Effect 4! :wizard:

Get a load of this one. NICE ending foreshadowing.

Shepard: "You know, there are views like that on the Citadel. Next time we're there, you should take some shore leave. Clear your head."
Steve Cortez: "I don't know. Maybe."
Shepard: "Take some time off on the Citadel, Steve. Do it as a favour to me."
Steve: "If you put it that way, how can I say no?"
Shepard: "You can't."

The great thing about IT being true would be that, for once, the conspiracy theorists got it right.

Is that actually Ali Hillis providing the voice? It doesn't sound much like her. Why shoehorn Liara in if you can't afford her proper VA?

There are 2 versions of Control. Which one do you like the most Paxxton?

The one where the Shepard speaks of protecting the Galaxy, ensuring that anyone has a voice. I guess that's the Low-to-Medium EMS version.

I think it varies depending on your moral alignment, not EMS. Renegade Control is more scary and totalitarian than the Paragon version.

It's a bit weird considering he needs Shepard to introduce them to each other on Mars. He doesn't seem to recognise her at all. I suppose he might be keeping shtum because he doesn't know whether or not to trust her yet...

Side thought. How bloody scary would ME3 have been if there were more sections where you were in pitch blackness and used your torch, only you were involved in firefights rather then just exploring?

Because honestly the tunnels in Tuchunka could have have been something special. Instead it was just a peaceful interlude.

I would freaking lose my **** if I was in tunnels like that for 10-15 minutes, with only my flashlight, and then heard a Banshee scream echoing down towards me.

...maybe its best my idea was never used.

That quote's awesome. I'm starting to see some importance in the From Ashes DLC.

That's what I'm thinking concerning ME4. It needs to pick up somehow from ME3 if it's a sequel. If you can continue your story (from a different character's view), then you can creatively finish up Shepard's story as well.

Get a load of this one. NICE ending foreshadowing.

What do you mean once.

Also I do like Leviathans achievments. Conspiracy theorists. You know from that point Bioware created leviathan for IT. I mean Conspiracy theorists alone is just enough that it was for IT poeple. Bioware just wanted to call us that because the literalist/trolls call us Conspiracu theorists, so they went along with it as an achivement.

That would have been terrific. There's something about a Banshee's scream that sets my teeth on edge. Darkness on top of that would have cranked the brown trouser factor up to 11.

Indonctrination. They got Vega. Nah it could be that maybe Vega/ Liara lost there memorys. remember It's called Paragon lost. It may mean the Normandy/ Shepard, but it could also mean the Collectors erased Vega's mind, and maybe Liaras. Ir the Alliance erased everything that happend, after the Collector sip Vega blew up.

Bioware are simply impersonating Reapers at this point. feeding us lies and deception.

The darkness will be breached.

Mark my words.

Think about it, the whole PR of 'Absolutely no Shepard!', it's basically the Reapers saying 'Shepard is dead'.

LIES.

Not to mention those flashlights are awful, and basically force you to walk slowly otherwise you can't see anything in front of you.

Can you imagine a scene like that, but on a Collector Cruiser, with dead bodies litering the floor?

That's almost getting into Dead Space territory.

While true, a new species showing up alongside Commander Shepard should surely raise eyebrows and get people talking. And once word got out that he really is a Prothean... Well, imagine scenes resembling the one in Matrix Reloaded (god, this comparison again...) where Neo gets out of a lift in Zion and people are crowded around waiting so they can see or touch him.

But that kind of thing happens on the citadel a lot with new species showing up.  Plus with commander shepard people are like:

"Oh there's the Shepard.  Looks like he's out saving us all again.  What's that a new species?  Great, bet he'll either destroy them or use them to save us all."

LOL

Considering I nearly destroyed my chair with my massive buttclenching the first time I encountered a Banshee in the Monestary, I can't imagine even physically surviving such a thing.

Though yes, it would be amazing.  Just not for my sanity.
