I just rewatched the Control ending linked in my sig. A thought occurred to me. The new Catalyst says that only now he understands the full extent of Shepard's sacrifice. That means he didn't understand it before and that implies he'd existed before Shepard chose Control. Taken even further, it might mean that Shepard was absorbed and incorporated into the OLD Catalyst's cognitive processes. But it also means he exerted great influence on the Catalyst. An influence that made the Reapers stop the harvest and embrace the notion that they, Organics and Synthetics can coexist..

I do like Leviathans achievements. Conspiracy theorists. You know from that point Bioware created leviathan for IT. I mean Conspiracy theorists alone is just enough that it was for IT people. Bioware just wanted to call us that because the literalist/trolls call us Conspiracy theorists, so they went along with it as an achievement.
Jut finished my first playthrough of leviathan. Dunno whether it confirms IT or not to be fair. If anything it backs up star brat imo. Whatever happened to the slick gaming that was Mass Effect 1 & 2?
Nah. It backs up the idea of a rogue AI slaughtering its masters, who then stole the abilities of its former masters.
Which totally backs up IT, and discredits Starbinger's motives and assertions even more.
''Harbinger talks of you''. The reaper on rannoch. Now if all the reapers were doing was some pre-ordained harvesting why would they communicate with each other? They would just follow their programming. An Intelligence would not go about slaughtering billions of sentient creatures for a trumped up excuse of a reason. They were AI's. Each a nation. Intelligence beyond our understanding.
And Legions comments regarding Nazara, how it was similar to the Geth itself supports the Reaper beeing full fledged AI.

Right, because the clip they decided to release to promote the movie was one that they didnt finish yet. That makes sense.
It is a very common practice, really.
Kinda like some of the stuff seen in the first Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess trailer never made it into the actual game?
I know, I hope it doesn't happen again with the Wii U tech demo

Yeah there are some really interesting ones. From what I can tell, it seems like they keep modifying the lines to sound less obvious. They do the same thing with other things too.Krimzie wrote...

Right, I think it went like this:
Shepard: "I have a better solution"
or
Kid: "I am prepared to hear your solution"
I really want to know what it was!
Voilà
And he's gone, lol.
Oh good lord, the Catalyst has such a hard-on for Synthesis in these lines!
Destroy: I know you've thought about destroying us.... But we will not be the only ones who are destroyed.
Control: It is not the solution I would choose either. But I will accept it.
Synthesis: You must choose it. For all of us.
No wonder they changed them.
But what's up with that "Have you not come to provide your own solution?" line? Is it common practice for members of the harvested cycles to barter with the construct? Heh.
"And they became the first to be harvested. Though they fought us... it was the only solution."
They changed "fought" right?

Trailers and promotional materials for movies and cartoon often demonstrate things that do not make the final cut, and special effects in them are very often unfinished, or even not present at all - since it is the most expensive thing to do, the most time consuming, and it is the last thing to be finished before product goes into print or on air.

There may have been a sibyl that accompanied Aeneas a short way, I can't remember. Either way, Aeneas' journey into the underworld through Avernus was the Hero's Journey. So maybe there's a Hero's Journey to be had, gasp. Or another one? Yeesh, Shepard.BleedingUranium wrote...
ThisOneIsPunny wrote...
Avernus in the Aeneid is referred to as "The jaws of stinking Avernus", there was also a golden branch needed and all this bullhockey(I'm sorry, I mildly hate this story and love it due to latin) to actually get into the Underworld and THEN only Aeneas was permitted to go. His crew had to stay behind. So, Shepard going to Avernus station alone??
Also is the Elbrus actually the SSV Elbrus or is it just coincidence that the names are shared?
Oh no, not again
As for the ship, I don't think it's unlikely some Alliance soliders defected to Cerberus or that Cerberus stole the ship, so yeah, probably the same.
Also, remember that old screenshot of Omega, that was the Normandy approaching Omega beyond the Omega-4 relay? Yeah.
And yeah, I had similar thoughts about the Elbrus. I also haven't read any mass effect material outside of Revelation so I had no idea whether any distinctions were made or not.

Dont get your hopes up then, from what i heard it was purely a Tech demo and not necesarily representive of any kind of in game graphics or events (though they neither denied it) In fact thtat they used Gohma and Link's design from Twilight Princess is pretty good indication it is not going to be in the next game as outside of the handheld games they dont seem to reuse design between the entries. Last time they did was Ocarian of Time to Majora's Mask.
Though good news is that they are aiming for a 2014 release of the next game and it has the biggest team Nintendo has ever assembled to work on single game.

The story is the main reason I enjoy naime, but if you can't be consistent in the world of your story then you probably shouldn't tell it. It's like being violently jerked out of the story and getting whiplash from it.
