Dude, you're going mad.  Don't worry about IT.  BW meant the end to be an illusion, they didn't somehow forget all their own lore and storytelling methods every time they fine-tuned the ending.

As you're in trance-like discovery mode, figure out the importance of all the prime numbers (2 3 5 7) on Vancouver for me.

You on Xbox 360 btw?  Could do with some allies for MP.  I'm not great but I'm getting better.

What with improving hardware, escalating marketing hyperbole and the relatively tiny history of videogame existence, a game seems out of date even 6 months after release.

KotOR feels like current-gen to me, yet it's nearly 10 years old... C&C is like the gaming equivalent of the Bronze Age...

C&C3 holds up surprisingly well.

I copied that to the quotes topic a long time ago.

This one's better though! It's a direct message to the players.

IT IS REVEALED... does this use of capitalisation count as cruel and abusive behaviour?

No doubt, I just meant it's very old in the grand scheme of things.  Many of my all-time favourite games are significantly older.

Capitalize away, friend.

Limited use for dramatic purposes is generally accapted in here.

lol

I'm going mad?

Batarian Preacher: "Maintain, my brothers and sisters, we have faced adversity and overcome, this is but a test! Remember the pillars of strength that hold the people high, show the galaxy our resolve. I know that your faith is weak, our government has fallen, but if you hold the pillars of strength in your hearts, please... just don't give up."

Pillars of Strength = Mass Effect 1 & 2
Our government = Bioware

It's like the mother of all 4th wall breaking messages! That's not just my imagination. The game is full of this stuff.

Right after this conversation, Garrus will tell you to come up for air, because there's a lot more war to go.

It's just too many hints at the same damn thing.

The reveal will come.

ME4 will be Shepard.

And yeah, I'm on 360. I still need to do the weekend challenge. Been way too busy finding clues in the story.

What's your GT?

Max Payne? Time for more depressing videos!

I love how one YouTube commenter put it.  I'm paraphrasing here, but the comment was something to the effect of, "Man, you could be listening to this song while having a threesome with gorgeous models and you would still be depressed."

Seriously, how many names/designs for giant tanks can you really come up with?  I wouldn't be surprised if there was overlap.  However, it probably was a nod to C&C./

I've been VERY tempted to go back through all the games here recently, even going so far as to install ME1 and ME2 back onto my hard drive. But, I think I want to wait until at least Omega comes out before I start that madness. That way, I can keep my eye out for things, maybe even go back and start reading all the Codex entries.

best reasons why:  Mass Effect was always Intended to be a trilogy since the beginning so there's probably a ton of stuff in ME1 that we all overlooked cause of context we didn't know or understand

There are 2 versions of Control. Which one do you like the most Paxxton?

The one where the Shepard speaks of protecting the Galaxy, ensuring that anyone has a voice. I guess that's the Low-to-Medium EMS version.

I think it varies depending on your moral alignment, not EMS. Renegade Control is more scary and totalitarian than the Paragon version.

Eryri is correct.

There are the 2 Control endings:

Paragon Control

Renegade Control

I prefer Renegade Control. I like it a lot and it fits my Shepard from my first playthrough (which was a "Renegon" playthrough) really well. With my 2nd playthrough, which was a complete Renegade playthrough,  I chose Destroy. I liked that ending too.

Edit: By the way, what's up with that slide from Miranda and Oriana together analysing the reapers (in Paragon Control ending), studying them.... why? For what reason? Do you think Miranda is planning on overthrowing the God Emperor Shepard? Do you think they're planning to destroy the reapers if you chose Control? :o

I like how you call Halo a cheap knock-off after linking what is clearly a cheap knock off of an AT-AT. :D

It was an expensive knock-off. ))) Halo sucks, C&C is awesome, let's just stop with the off-top. :)
