Apex just means 'top'. A predator still needs to hunt to survive. Humans are the apex species on this planet, and became so by moving away from being predators. When you're able to farm what you need, and thus remove any risk to yourself, you've transcended being a predator.

Leviathans became the apex species but not even needing to farm. Everything was done for them, even solving their problems. And that was their downfall, they were so superior and mighty that they had no need to even consider the possibility of failure in any capacity.

Even a billion years on, they refuse the concept of their actions failing them. Its utterly alien to their mentality.

Reapers are good at farming. And you can farm lots of things - but i assure you it isn't pleasant for the crops.

Have you ever thought, what exactly was it that they had done for them? Don't you even consider the possibility that the AI was to automate and polish the process of the harvesting - so you wouldn't accidetly wipe everything out and have a dead season next?

What exactly do you think the leviathans eat? ))

So, other than debating and Doomsday pointing out different spots in earlier games of possible IT hints, was there anything new today?

Those were all quotes from ME3, not earlier games. ^_^

Same as the reapers. Their huge egos are one of the many reasons I find the idea that they really only have our best interests in heart laughable.

Morning guys. No Omega trailer yet darn it. Well maybe they are not showing a trailer is because of them working on the next dlc after Omega, and they don't want to waste time, and money into making a trailer. Since they spent a good portion of money, and time on Omega it'self.

Or

There is something mind blowing in Omega, that they just can't help showing the awsome clip they want to show, or since we look at the trailers and we speculate on the trailers. We ruin the surpise by going in depth in talking about what Omega will most likly have, or what may not.

Also we do probable kill the Cerberus Admiral from the comic, so if they show that in the trailer, then for some reason a lot of fans are done, which is stupid because if they are going to quit ME3 because of a Cerberus guys death. I won't even. I could see if Garrus, Liara, Zaeed,Javik,Joker, modrin, Thane, Legion, Tali, and the rest die, but a Cerberus Admiral really.

What about Kai Leng they would quit because of a Cerberus Admiral, but not Kai Leng. This is an out rage.

DD that quote that I posted, and asked you to post it in your list of IT quotes. That was from when EDI is asking Shepard about the live camera feeds she was watching, and the part were she was going to change herself because the Reapers are repulsing to here because they believe in self preservation.

There is no war - there is only the harvest.
There was no mistake, intelligence is still fulfilling its purpose.

Have you ever considered that AI's initial purpose was the harvest in the first place? You know, as in Leviathnans would have everything they need done for them by the enthralled spicies (army of pawns)

What makes you think there were no cycles of destruction when the leviathnas were in charge, before they created the reapers? Only before, they had to do the harvest themselves.

So they screwed up with how they made the Intelligence harvest, leading it to also harvesting them to near extinction? I don't see how that would make sense with My Little Progeny insisting there was no mistake, Dem. The pay off the Reapers get from harvesting races doesn't exactly benefit the Leviathans or help them reclaim their place as THE Apex race. Also sorry, I'm totally leaving now for class.

Wouldn't one create an AI to protect organic life AFTER the reapers started pillaging all life?
The Leviathan's are either REALLY stupid or giant lying insects.

You know I have been thinking. When the Catalyst tells us that he is trying to save Organics, from Synthetics, and that's his purpose, then his purpose should have stoped when we made peace with the Geth. He should because that's what this was all about. Stoping Synthetics from killing Organics. Well Shepard stoped it, and are now working together. So the Catalyst/ the Reaper Leader/ Harbinger should have stoped, unless he is using that as a bs cover, and he just really want's revenge against Shepard.

Shepard has caused Harbinger nothing but pain, and set backs. Shepard also did his job for. Him finding a way to stop Organics vs synthetics from killing eachother. So no The brat/ Harbinger want's Shepard to suffer, but what better way to make Shepard suffer is to Indoctrinate him/her, and make him/her kill the ones he/she loves, and betraying the galaxy.

Thus the endings.

From the official Omega DLC website: "The war for Omega has begun—How far will you go to end it?" This means we're going to be faced with hard choices, possibly even one that will change everything at the last moment.

Of course there will be choices, it's Bioware. How meaningful the choices are is the important thing.

Paxxton either save Omega, but with a high price ( like Aria dying,or siding with Cerberus because they threaten to blow up Omega) or Destroy it, and killing anyone else on Omega, because of the out break on Omega.

I have no clue, but how far are you willing to go to kill the Reapers?

MB, I can't remember what you posted, but if you have some quote that seems relevant, just submit it in the quotes thread.

The quote from EDI saying the Reapers are repulsive is already there, in any case.

You're really asking this? You know - we blew up the Geth and EDI. Ok, I blew up the Geth and EDI but I think they're alive, so Omega seems like a small thing to me.
Looks like I became more and more like Saren in his days with Anderson. Blow it up and go home. Job done.

Damn ... quite hard to get exited about Omega when you think that way ...
But at least I'm trying :)

I'm going to let the Reapers eat Omega Choco Cereals for breakfast.

EDIT: Then Kai Leng will do the dirty work but everybody will think it was Shepard. Posted Image

I can't help buy compare Omega to LOTSB, although it doesn't seem to have as much meaning because it's not with a past, present or future squad mate. I really don't care strongly for Aria's character and it seems not that many people do, so there HAS to be something more to this. Surely. Hopefully?

I'll let em have the wife.  Her cooking would see em off in no time.

Could it possibly be fixing that problem they had with Adjutants? How could they not have them on omega without hand waving it.

I on the other hand find Aria quite an interesting character, i'm looking forward to play a story with her. To bad you can't romance her.

I like that we get banners for weekend challenges now.

At least, for this one, we do.

I wonder if we'll get one for every weekend challenge? Probably not.

...I have to apologise that I've got no idea what you're talking about. This thread is my primary source of new info and I can hardly read every page.
