Good point. They can mutate over a lifetime though, usually through radiation, so you were probably right the first time.Andromidius wrote...

Instead its better to call it mutation. Which doesn't sound as pretty, hense why that word isn't used.
It doesn't work the same way though. A person cannot evolve, only a species via reproduction.

So omega trailer... Ya it looks cool, but it may or may not change the endings. Who knows , and you have to think IF Bioware adds on anything that could change the endings, or add on to them, then they wouldn't put it in a trailer.
I don't think Omega will change the endings really.
It's a field trip. We can only hope here that it has pitstops in the IT gas station.

And you know what? That's not a bad thing. Omega was scheduled intially to be part of the actual game and if they couldn't fit it in, no big deal, they're getting it out now.
That said, there's still some more DLC's to go (one at least of which we know of) plus we got all this Extended Cut dialogue that wasn't used, showing there IS going to be more added sometime or another.
Another thought I had while coming home on the bus today, if you needed any more evidence that the Crucible is a worthless pile of crap.
Hackett: "something's happening, the Crucible's not firing. It's got to be something on your end.."
and then we have Shepard saying he can't, he's not sure how to.
It's useless. End of story. The kid can tell you they "thought they eradicated" the plans long ago all he wants but considering the plans were just on Mars waiting to be found I highly doubt that. It's a resource waster that the Reapers have used every cycle.

I agree, though i had an interesting thought regarding it.
There is a large number of upgrades for the Crucible, but has anyone noticed it is all the Organic races optimizing, improving or adding on to the Crucible´s base design?
Even if it is for the sake of improving the Crucible's base functionality those upgrades might very well be part of what saves us in the end. Just as we have adapted our own tehcnology to improve the Crucible so might we very well have to adapt the Crucible to a different purpose, something which might help us.

Haven't we already been through this once, Demersel? There are several other possible reasons for the collector rifle to be there.demersel wrote...
Once again. since people ignore it for some reason - in the trailer at 1.32 you can clearly see collector assault rifle on the back of Shepard - Collector weapons are in omega -> collectors are featured in the DLC. Collectors -> Harbinger, Harbinger -> IT!
Cerberus could for example have mass-produced the assault rifle series after replicating its technology from the remains of the base. Another reason could be that that simply is a salvaged one from the collector base.

I'm not sure if Collector weapons means Collectors. I hope it's true, but I'm not counting on it. I don't want my dreams of hearing Harbinger speak shattered, so I'm just in 'wait and see' mode.
Like others, I don't believe this will have a lot of implications for IT. I'm sure there will be the occasional hint though.

Open MP. Do you see cerberus logo anywhere on collector's rifle? Those guys brand everything they get their hands on.
I bet even Shepard's cells are branded with cerberus logo

However I also fully expect that, by the end, y'all will be forced to accept that the end wasn't a dream

The Collectors AR is in there as a port from MP, nothing more. The only new enemies in the DLC are the Cerberus Mechs, the Cerberus Dragoon and the Adjutants.
This doesn't rule out the possibility of Harbinger, but it's very unlikely he'll feature in the DLC.

The only thing I can think of, literally speaking of course, that could effect the ending with Omega is Shepard learning how to use the Crucible by finding plans on Omega. And thus when Hackett calls saying the Crucible isn't working Shepard can activate it at that console without Starbinger calling the lift up.
Of course, we all know that won't happen. And shouldn't. But yeah, stretching my imagination a bit.

No. It doesn't.
But you have to agree, that the fact that there is a collector weapon in trailer (which there is) doesn't mean that they are 100% not even mentioned in the DLC either.

So how was that DLC, is it worth 1200 bw points? How long it took you to play through it?
