Could be Thanksgiving but that's usually pumpkin pie, if anything they coulda put a big turkey in teh map but that wouldn't have been very subtle. New Years Eve makes some more sense, but not by much.

There's gotta be some kind of holiday centric to chocolate + strawberry + cake, maybe someones birthday... an important one?

Well there's a champagne-type bottle on the map next to the pumpkin, possibly signifying New Year's. Strawberries are more of a summer harvest, not fall. And several of the choco-strawberry cakes on google image search are decorated as birthday cakes. So maybe ME's birthday, BioWare's birthday, an important person's birthday... hmm when is Shepard's birthday? lol

With the above months I listed, that's every two months consistently. Could the cake be related to something in June?

Yeah and considering these food items are hanging out in what is clearly a LAB (and any scientist can tell you that food is strictly prohibited in such environments) it just feels so out of place.

I read a few lines of the dialogue, but the way it was all laid out was just.. highly inefficient. Couldn't glean much from it, so stopped reading. I'll take your word for it, I suppose. But I'm not even sure I'll be paying for any DLC until I can be near-positive of what their plan is.
In the meantime, I'll keep my Tali-entranced-by-the-fishtank wallpaper and remember happier times.

 


The mission involves you investigating some asteroid mining colony, the miners turn out to be indoctrinated in a very strange way  - no mental degradation but they don't remember what happened after you free them by destroying some "monument". You end up on an epic quest to look for Leviathan, and you delve into its underwater realm, where you discover that Leviathan is the very first "unsuccessful" reaper. If you remember from the EC, the catalyst says something about attempting synthesis with unwilling organics - Leviathan was the result, it is a rogue reaper. So the leviathans created the catalyst AI and it turned on them, and after it could not control them it refined its techniques and created the first successful reaper - Harbinger.
You can confront the Catalyst in the decision chamber about the Leviathans, which has as yet unseen consequences

An asteroid full of indoctrinated people, we've never seen that before! It sounds very much like Aequitas or Arrival or a few different sidequests in ME1 (granted, some of those involved the Thorian and/or Cerberus so not identical but come on). I'm all for new content that explains the Reapers and Catalyst a bit better but I'm hoping we've been given some false data in the EC to chew on in the mean time.

What is february represented by in your analysis

Why does it mean it's in august? Surely it means it's in october or somthing

Or are you just counting every 2 months?

Someone said there's a heart box with chocolates. Leviathan could be October, but I think that's a little far off for being leaked in the EC files.
