...I'm restraining myself from defending DA2 again, it never ends well.

I haven't done a full playthrough myself, I'm only going off videos and limited game time.

So far, I don't consider it as atrocious as some say, but I also don't have any particular love for it. I guess it's a 7-7.5/10 (just as I consider ME3 if taken in literal perspective) instead of the minimum 8.5/10 people were hoping for, overall.

I just downloaded DA:O Ultimate Pack from Steam today so I want to finish the game (I have it for xbox but never finished it) and if I like it enough, get that super cheap DA2 :P, and then I'll more conclusively judge it.

I'd give DA2 a 5.5-6 at best.

Anyhow, bedtime for me.

Did you play it before playing DA1 or after?

After. I bought it on release day because I enjoyed 1 and enjoyed it equally though for different reasons.

I thought maybe you liked DA2 because you played it before DA1. But I guess it's just a matter of personal taste. I, myself, am not sure whether I should play DA1 or DA2 first, or neither.

I have something new! Remember that once you're ready to attack Cronos station, the little Reapers are all over the galaxy map, and there are even a few Reapers where there aren't visitable clusters? Some of those became proper clusters with Leviathan, like the Crescent Nebula, where Illium is. There are still two clusters that aren't.

Looking at this galaxy map picture, the missing clusters are the Omega Nebula (big surprise) and the Hawking Eta cluster.

I looked through all the planets in those clusters and these are the interesting ones:

Omega Nebula:
Alchera - Normandy SR-1 crash site.
Eingana - Space battle 127,000 years ago between the Thoi'han and the Inusannon.
Anjea - Weird things floating in its atmosphere.

Hawking Eta:
The Derelict Reaper
Corang - Firewalker mission to recover a number of Prothean orbs.
Klendagon - The planet with the MAC scar.
Etamis - Population totally wiped out by orbital bombardment.

Klendagon interests me the most. LOADS of people thought it'd come up again in 3.

There's still hope the 3rd DLC will concern Reapers.

Leviathan -> Leviathans
Omega - Cerberus
3rd DLC - the Reapers

The wikia record on Klendagon says that the Rift was created 37 mln years ago by a mass accelerator round. That would suggest the Reaper-Leviathan war. Harbinger is said to be that old. We might get to know the Reaper version of the conflict.

Maybe have the next one concern the Reapers and that third nebula and the final one bringing everything together. The one where all the writers are coming together and HOPEFULLY bringing IT to a nice conclusion. :o

The ending is "working as intended". I always wanted to say that. Just never had the nerve to do it.

Just skimming Banshees list (I'm on it thrice which is awesome) and say something about the hardest choice sometimes being the right one and thought of a great example. One of the things you need for peace on rannoch is saving the admiral over a bunch of troops. Saving one life over the many saved many more in the long run.

Well James was always my favourite candidate if it turned out one of the squad was up to something, but now choose wisely 2's just solidified that. I don't agree with his comments on missions he wasn't on being signs of shared memories, all bioware games do that, but his knowledge of Shep's past, and Shep's reaction to his story about the collectors which was eerily similar to horizon and apparently there was another collector ship even though we only encounter the same one several times, I do find interesting.

There were plenty of Collector ships, Black Arks are their name. Per Hackett's message when the Collectors were added to MP, there were more Black Arks and Collectors in darks space with the Reapers.

It all fits in the lore and story, and the Hackett messages are even written by one of the SP writers.

It still a pretty creepy scene on second viewing, whether there's more collector ships or not.

I just meant I don't read the messages, they're probably canon fine.

Ah, misunderstood that then Posted Image

Hmm, so we've got:

Collector weapons confirmed,
The trailer looks like a fairly small part of a four hour DLC
The base the Ajutants escaped from beyond the Omega-4 relay is called Avernus Station
That old picture of the Normandy beyond the Omega-4 relay, while we arrive via a different ship
