I wasn't saying the Zaeed one was GOOD, but it made me smile in the midst of all the stupidity.

Yeah I liked that one, was it the same for all 3 endings?

It appears you had Zaeed as an asset, it's always the same.

Zaeed can't appear in Synthesis because he has no Synthesis slide (needed because of the green glowing stuff). Also I'm not sure if he's in Control.

Honestly, all those Old Squad mates lives slides really pissed me off. They told nothing about anything really and seemed to just some some idealic image Bioware drew up to placate people.

It's why I choose to see them as Shepard's mind creating said image to Placate and justify his choices. Also makes sense why those images always seem to stay the same ('cept for Jack's I think).

Here's a though. I know people have theorized that the flashes of his Crew Shepard sees while making his choice represent his psych. Well, has anyone thought how at the end of those cutscene's the Normandy flying out of the forest planet to find Shepard could represent Shepard's mind returning to him.

That's a fun bit of imagery...

I sound like my English teacher now.

Maybe when the LI (which Shepard could consider an important part of them) refuses to put the Name plate up, it could represent the moment Shepard refuses to give up and breaks the Indoctrination.

That's an interesting bit of symbolism.  With low EMS, you see the Normandy open, but you never see anything else.  Wtih medium EMS, you see all the slides, and you see the Normandy getting repaired, and with high EMS, you see the Normandy flying away,  seemingly undamaged.  These things could symbolize the status of Shepard's mind.  Interesting thoughts *adjust monocle*.

There are some differences
(control/destroy/synthesis)
2/1/2 slides for Jack (Grave, Grissom; LI; Grave, Grissom)
1/1/1 slides for Jacob (London; Teacher; London)
1/0/1 slides for Kasumi (Sit; ; Keiji)
1/2/1 slides for Miranda (Base; LI, Van; Van)
1/0/0 slides for Mordin (Studies; ; )
1/1/1 slides for Samara (Daughter; Just; Daughter)
0/1/0 slides for Zaeed (; Sit; )

Plus stuff like Tuchanka where there are quite some variations.

Well, it seems like a slow day, so I think I'll take my leave. If anyone's up for MP, I'll be happy to oblige. See you all later.

Yeah, I'm the same. But that's mostly because it's 3 am over here in Aus and I have 6 hours straight of lectures to attend tomorrow... yeah.

Night all.

So I guess everyone wanted Zaeed back, well I did to. Zaeed my not be a major character, but he is funny as hell. And he is a bad ***. I need more people like Zaeed.

Any way I am at Ihop right now, so I will get back to this in a bit.

Yes my wallfes are here. Time to eat.

Hmm... I wonder why bioware went with so much isolation with the underwater atlas mech and a first person view..

Surely, this can't mean anything...

Zaeed and Kasumi never should of been DLC characters, they were much more intresting then most of the ME2 crew even their missions were awesome. Kasummi I can live with not being in the crew but come on Zaeed who doesn't like Zaeed. I always have this image of him fathering Grunt lol and playing poker with Garrus.

And punny, maybe your on to something, but idk if that means anything. Personaly I want the atlas, so that Shepard could use it in the final battle, and it would be cool if every crew/squad member made some modifications to the atlas.

I had dinner, does that count? ^_^

I hope the Underwater level won't be in slo-mo like Manaan, that was extremely annoying, but I guess it may in some way support IT if it is

Dlc = for real fans

Pinnacle Station, one could argue, was aimed at filthy casuals (:P) and that bombed...

Look at that extra DLC for Battlefield 3. That's pure casual-ness. DLC has definitely evolved over time and their success isn't restricted to the hard-core players, anymore.

Pinnacle Station is eons ago (in the time-frame of games), times have changed, man!

We have to keep in mind that Battlefield in primarily a MP game, which is the opposite of ME. Casual gamers can buy DLC for an MP game no problem. But when it comes to SP-based games like ME, you can't just get causal gamers to buy it. It's primarily a hardcore fan thing.

That was the only slide I liked.

Yeah, the first character slide... was Jacob. That was obviously everyone's first choice.

The thing I didn't like about the slides, more than anything else, is they didn't give us a look at what our ME3 team did after getting off the planet.  I wanted some closure for Garrus dang it!

1st/2nd comment: +1
3rd: Jacob first? WTF?
4th: How about slides for our freaking LIs? I mean seriously how could they forget that? And it would have been a piece of cake for them to make Javik's 3 outcomes into slides!

Hm, good point.

But it could depend on what kind of SP DLC it is. If it's 'important' like the EC, or 'just' addition info on the Reapers like Leviathan, or something completely off-main story arc like LotSB.

It's important to look at the elements they use for gameplay in relation to the story and the players. That they're connecting players to Shepard at this point in the story with the switch of point of view is.. interesting.. Make them feel what shepard's feeling? Where have we heard that before? ;)

Also I wouldn't let garrus near that triton. He'd never finish calibrating it.

MP soon? I just realized we should start saving some credits for tuesday. It seems likely that either the Firefight guns will also be in MP, the missing mods will, or both!

Yes, it will depend on things like that. Generally, I see ME3's DLCs getting somewhat less popular over time and only having the most hardcore fans buying them (like any game). So I hope that they do an expanded IT end after all of that when the haters are gone and have made enough money that it will be free (wishful thinking).Posted Image

Well Banshee during the Demo for Leviathan the mods that are in MP are now in SP, so we will see.
