I actually hated Nyreen to be honest. I found her an annoying pain in the ass. She was nothing but an annoying goody-two-shoes in my eyes. But maybe that's because I'm a Renegade and sided with Aria the whole time. Aria is as cool as she ever was. I really like her.

Well I am a goody two shoes myself, so no suprise I drew close to Nyreen. She reminded me of Garrus unsuprisingly as there are quite a few comparisions, but her constant "bickering while obviusly caring" dialogue with Aria I really liked and it was nice to see someone who dident just spit in the face of the Reaper abominations and instead showed outright fear even if there was not alot of situations to delve into it.

I liked Nyreen because she was fighting for the people of Omega, for the correct reasons. Aria was just fighting because TIM stole her toys and she wanted them back.

Yeah, though I liked Aria's point abot how she may control Omega, but she let people have their freedom. Off course she is not above using said people to take back Omega.

Though dont tell me you werent the least bit tempted to hit the Interupt during the Reactor scene. I know I was.

Not even a little.

Suprises me a bit, I thought the tension was really great in that scene. Wont go into details as to not spoil anyone who has not played yet. Made me seriusly considering making the choice out of fear...

Adjutants were more fun in the cinematic way. The music and feel of fighting them was a little refreshing.

I was. Very much so. IT has turned me more towards Renegade than anything in Mass Effect.

Still went with Paragon.

I pressed that button without a second thought.

What happens if you don't press it?

Lame. So there is really no difference other than that I got an extra cutscene where you see a couple of people dying?

Indeed. You basically killed a lot of people for no reason.

Edit: Actually, wait, I just did that part on my renegade and didnt get any cutscene of people dying. The only difference was the sad music.

What I'd like to know is why call them Adjutants? It basically means 'helper', the person who organises the daily lives of a senior officer or co-ordinates their orders.

Anybody seen anything in the game at all?
Like Leviathan, where Liara remembers the visit on the Normandy? Changes like that?

Not a lot. The cutscene certainly did not give that impression. I honestly only saw a hand ful of people dying and it most certainly didn't seem any worse than the other cutscenes where people die.

But yeah, it comes to no surprise to me that the Renegade once again pulls on the short end of the stick. BioWare never took us Renegades very seriously. Paragons get always a pat on the back for making the morally right decision, while Renegades get always punished for making the morally ambiguous decisions.

I sometimes get the feeling as if Mass Effect is written for a 5 years old and that the writers try to teach us a thing or two about morality.
Basically Mass Effect is equal to a scolding mother yelling: "play nice or you won't get a dessert after dinner tonight!"

Oh, and Nyreen doesn't seem to have breasts. At least not that I've noticed while she's in her armour. Her chest looks just like other Turians in that regard - puffed out and bulky, but not breast-like in the slightest.

Much outrage about nothing, me thinks?

Did you get some extra cutscene showing people dying, or do you just mean the scenes where they charge through the collapsing barriers?

Because I didnt get any scene of people dying when I did it on my renegade just now.

I mean the scene where they charge through the collapsing barriers. I thought that scene showed the result of the decision I made. But you get that scene if you choose the paragon path too?

Yeah. So apparently the only difference is that if you take the renegade interrupt, you get sad music because thousands died. You never actually see it happen though.

Lameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Well, I didn't expect much else from BioWare though. Their illusion of choice and consequences has ceased to exist a long time go.

Oh, and I like how this troll keeps talking about the last DLC when we're talking about the new one.
A little late to be arguing over that one me thinks.

Its a tactic with anti-science fundamentalists as well.  Attacking older concepts and research while ignoring everything that comes after it.  And ignoring the fact all their ideas were debunked back then as well, so we're ready for them before they've even smugly asked the question.

I pushed the button on the second chance. Also let her strange the general. Other then that I choose sometimes Aria, sometimes Nyreen.
Btw loved the flexibility, couch, and the other inside jokes I already forgot about :D

The Adjutants were laughably easy. If they trapped you you could just roll away.

I recently finished Omega, it took me about 3 hours with a Sentinel right after Palaven on Insanity. Due to that, the combat was more difficult and challanging and thus the amount of time I needed to complete the missions. Furthermore I took my sweet time to look around and absorb everything.

Here my thoughts on the DLC (no real spoilers):

+ the combat is as usual, but the new mechs (I'd call them LOKI 2.0 with more brains) add something fresh to it; the missions at the end are more challanging and I enjoyed them
+ the atmosphere is great and it is nice to be back on Omega; level design is also not bad (except the first missions that are quite linear) and the scenery of some levels is really interesting
+ the new abilities (Flare!) are awesome
+ Oleg Petrovsky is not the typical idiot-villian and resembles a lot the Mass Effect: Invasion Petrovsky
+ a few insider jokes that really made me giggle
+ *new* Aria's character develops in different directions, depending on Shepard's influence (reminds me of ME1 Garrus)

~ Nyreen is kind of interesting, but still there was a lack of backstory in my view
~ the hub gives you a few side stories (partially through eavesdropping)
~ you meet old side characters (though I'm not sure about Maelon, Patriarch, that boy in Garrus RM or Fist  since they were all dead in my playthrough)
~ a few choices of significance, but as it is right now they won't really have any consequences if ME3 stays this way
~ minor background information about the Adjutants and how Cerberus is involved with them, but nothing groundbreaking

- no real twist in the story
- we fight nearly exclusively Cerberus
- only a few side tasks
- no real character development for Aria really
- the price of the DLC
