Omega DLC has confirmed that bioware is not smart enough to have thought about the Indoctrination theory.

I dont see how. I always figured Omega would be somewhat lame. Just taking back a space station. It delivered on what it promised.

Well. Can't download the new DLC. Can't play multiplayer. My internet connection keeps resetting itself and knocking me offline.

How ready are we for IT Mark IV?

I say by the end of this week we should be on Mark 4.

guys, so how is it? Only now i was able to purchase it - downloading now. Did not read any of the spoilers, but got the notion that it is somewhat flat. really? flat and crude?

I always thought that Omega will be somewhat meaningless fanservice anyway.

Its just copy/pasting the OP to a new topic. As long as I'm online when it happens, we're all good. If I'm not, people should send me tons of BSN messages so I get email alerts.

Or check to see if I'm on XBL like Banshee did last time.

People just wanted to take Omega. Bioware didn't really have the heart for Omega, but the fans wanted an Omega dlc, but the next dlc they are makining, they seem VERY happy to create.

Wouldn't surprise me.  Heck, it might almost be worth it to just close up the Mark III thread and start a Mark IV thread so that we won't be taken off guard.

Edit: If this could be done.  Can the OP close a thread?  Or is it open until the Mods close it?

Treat it as a spin-off and you'll be fine.  Its okay, just unpolished.

But its still vastly overpriced and overhyped.  Its above N7 missions, below any of the core Priority missions.

Check out side the thread. It was okay, but 10-12 dollers at most.

Just think, that money you're spending is going toward the development of even BETTER DLCs though.  At least, I would hope it is.

Once again, something ME related gets my hopes up and then completley ruins them afterwards. I REALLY hope this next DLC starts revealing some big stuff.

I figured this DLC would mostly be shoot this, shoot that. Don't get me wrong.. but there's so much they could have done with story related stuff.. bah.

Not as good as Leviathan, definately not.  Even from a normal perspective.

It really feels like half a DLC.  The core elements are there, but they aren't applied properly.  Omega has the atmosphere, looks great, small details are cool...  But there's loads of things missing.  Like an actual reason to be there other then 'get more ships and fuel for the fleet'.

You know, I almost think that this should have been in the game from the start.  Side missions like Grunt's Rachni mission, Jack and Grissom Academy, those should have been DLC.  Omega as DLC just feels underwhelming and disjointed.  If it was in the core game maybe the story would have mattered more, been integrated fully and have a lasting narrative effect.

Huh, apparently, the Collector Assault Rifle, while not in Omega, WILL be included at some later date. Now, it's possible that it will just be in a weapon pack, but here's hoping that it will come in a piece of SP DLC that includes the Collectors and Harbinger!

For the blight that is humanity stains all in its path,
and the only chance at redemption lies in the Word!
"Bring unto me the children,
that I may watch them grow to soldiers for the cause!"
Draw your weapons for the Word, my friends!
Draw your weapons and fight, else certain doom awaits us all!
Let not the lesser races steal our places within the purity!
Obey the Word and repent with fire, oil and guns!

Well, the Citadel DLC will certainly have more story stuff in it.  I mean, if it doesn't, it will be an even BIGGER wasted opportunity.

well, @Andromidius - remeber how we talk here about how ME3 was supposed to have had a year more development time? Maybe it was the way you say, but when they learned that they were not getting it - they reprioritized - so they are able to add more important and interesting stuff in from the start - and leave some unnessesary but still interesting things for DLC.

I just realized my biggest disappointment with Omega was that there was no Aria = Aleena reveal.

I was totally expecting that.

Hey everyone! Yeah, this pretty much sums up Omega: a lot of wasted potential.

What was there was good, aside from a few small glitches and such, but the real problem was everything they could or should have done. Nyreen was even throwning hints about things to be revealed in the mines, but nope, nothing.

SPOILERS!

Things I'm confused about:
-What happened to Dragoons? They were confirmed to be in Omega, and they weren't.
-What happened to the Collector weapons? You still can't get them in SP and they were all over the Omega demos and the trailer.
-What the hell was up with the old screenshot of the Normandy beyond the Omega-4 relay? That certainly wasn't in.
-Are the SR HVB and AR Thermal Scope not in, or did I just miss them?

Things that annoyed me:
-Not having the option to have Nyreen and the Talons take over Omega. That was the biggest letdown by far.
-Aria not being able to die.
-Nyreen not being able to live.
-Both of the above combined.
-The entire last mission was very anticlimactic, especially since the eezo mine mission right before was really cool.
-Aria's glitchy speech.

Things they missed out on:
-Any kind of plot twist whatsoever.
-A purpose for the Adjutants. Seriously, they could have made them any normal Reaper troop for all the plot importance they have.
-Aria = Aleena
-Nyreen & Garrus at least meeting, or a comment from her about knowing about him.
-Anything related to the Collectors, Omega-4 relay (barely), and no trip there.
-A trip to Avernus Station, the base beyond the O4 relay that the Adjutants came from. The base named for the entrance to Hades.
-Anything to do with the Reapers building Omega.

People complained about ME3 and compared it to ME2 and said how good ME2 was.
BW creates a DLC that takes ME2s strength as a character piece.
People complain.

Exactly the things they used to say about Arrival, when it came out.  And it was also rated at 5 out of 10.
