Nyreen is predictable because she wants to Save Everyone and that makes her easy to manipulate.

This idea is repeated twice.

Hmm...

Edit to Add: And what was with her way out? It's like she knew she was walking to her death instead of waiting for Shep and Aria. And Aria saying "wake up!" to her when the first adjutant showed up... IDK, man. I loved her character, but me thinks... me thinks something.

Update: After reading this, I like Omega now.

It was that interesting.

Omega is an IT DLC now, hehe.

(You think Nyreen was just starting to be indoctrinated?)

I thought Omega was well done. Nothing mindblowing or mentally stimulating though. Purely a shooter DLC. I'm not complaining but I was hoping for both...

I only saw a playthrough of the main story for the DLC. Anything I miss outside the main story?

At first look...nothing suspisious came up for me. Unlike Leviathan where "hints" were every where and my IT bell was ringing like crazy...I didn't get that this time. PS. I don't think Nyreen is being indoctrinated. However this is a perspective from someone who has spent a while away from the crazy of BSN. You guys catch anything?

My campus is tiny so I know it like the back of my hand. Did travel round a couple reservoirs last week and found a deserted bunker by a river. It was damn crazy. All that was inside was an empty backpack.

Two weeks ago we went up to this place called Boswin because there's apparently an abandoned listening post up there, but we got beneath these two giant wind turbines and noticed, after shining the torch around a bit, there were dozens and dozens of cows just standing and watching. Great fun.

That night I ended up spraining my ankle five times as we wandered around near a working mine. Brought back some swag in the form of a "Mine safety" poster that's about 4 feet by 4 feet :)

Just finished it. Bottom line -- I would recommend waiting for a price drop to those who are unsure. It is absolutely not worth $15. $10 is borderline. I sincerely hope the "Looks great, lacks substance" approach is not a taste of what's to come from Bioware Montreal.

That was one of my thoughts at the end thinking over it. And I haven't even bought it yet.

So what are you're guys opinions of the General? I think that is one of the few characters I think BioWare did a great job on and hope makes a re-appearance. He just had that "Admiral Thrawn" vibe off him. Very well done.

Cheers! It's not through lack of care really, it's just that my ankle has needed surgery for a good couple years as you can clearly feel loose ligament but I've just never really got round to getting it done. A stitch in time saves nine, mind. In this case, nine stitches in time saves 81!

Maybe Omega didn't have didn't have the "Cerberus motives" reveal, and maybe it wasn't up to par with what Bioware has been doing, and maybe it was a little light on the IT clues, but IT is still going strong. We still have the "Citadel" DLC to look forward too, imagine the possibilities they can do with this! Since the entire ME writing crew is working on this.

I'm done ranting for today, I just needed to say this. If you enjoyed Omega then that is great.

General Oleg Petrovsky is my favorite char in this DLC, followed closely by Nyreen. He was an awesome char in the Invasion comics and im glad they kept him that way in Omega.

PS: Love the STAR WARS connection to my other fav admiral, Thrawn.

I can play any game that is normal that doesn't involve any dlcs.  If I have any dlcs involved, I can't load any saves, play any extra mp characters I unlocked or in this case play Omega.

Speaking of which, has anyone analyzed this pic's background since this is all I see right now:

You know, that does make me feel a bit better about this.

The reason why Nyreen doesn't survive is because she's too idealistic.  She wants to save everyone, even when it means throwing her life away to save others who are dangled in front of her.  Even though Shep and Aria are nearby and can help, she won't risk anyone's lives.

And indeed, maybe partially indoctrinated and fighting it the only way she knew how.  Instead of succuming to her fear of Adjutants she faced them head on and alone.

And Aria flying into a rage where she finally unloads her full destructive capacity, showing that blind rage will only get you caught in a trap as well.

So basically, its a lesson to Shepard.  Not everyone can be saved, and keep your head even when you're angry.  And avoid the obvious trap when the final goal is in sight.
