That's not an answer to my question. My question was: Why are so many people on this board self-proclaimed writers? What's up with that?
But to reply to what you said: Any proffesional writer or even pseudo-proffesional writer here on this board should realize how terrible ME3 is written. And not just the ending.
Last semester I took some writing classes myself on my college. I'm not a writer though, I'm a 3D artist, I was just interested in learning a bit about writing. I learned a lot of basics about writing. Lots of theory. I quickly noticed how ME3 defies pretty much everything I've learned that semester. That alone shows how amateuristic the ME3 writing is.
Well, if you say that an entry level community college "professor" has different ideas, then who are we to argue?
Except I don't study at an community college but at an university, studying Game Architecture & Design.
Now please STFU if you don't have anything useful to say.

About me being a vegetarian:
I have no problem with killing animals for food. Killing animals for food is a natural thing. It happens in mother nature all the time. There is nothing wrong with that.
I do however have a problem with the current state of our meat industry world wide. It's the most corrupt and dirty industry responsible for the biggest amount of pollution each year. The meat industry is not only f*cking up our planet, they're also holding humanity back as a whole. Did you know that if the meat industry disappeard that we could feed everyone in the world with the grain, corn and soy beens that we feed to our livestock right now? Tons of land, food, money and resources are wasted on breeding, feeding and slaughtering livestock just so you can have your piece of meat on your plate at the end of the day. It's ridiculous if you ask me. I don't want to contribute to such madness. That's why I've become a vegetarian.

I've heard of that. Furthermore that Javik does not join you directly but rather goes amok like Jack on Purgatory. Then you had to get to Javik before Cerberus could get their hands on him, at least that's what I remember someone else say about it.Roarkh wrote...
Haven't seen this mentioned before, but looking at the supposed pre-release script linked in another thread, apparently Javik was at one point intended to be the catalyst, and rather than being ignorant of the crucible's purpose, he said it allowed the prothean memory-sense to work on vast scales of time/space.

I also thought Shepard on hands and knees told to breath was very reminiscent of 'wake up'.
And Leviathans have got that three dot eye thing going on that everyone has.
EDIT: And Harby the completely irrelevant major villain gets namechecked again.

I'm not frustrated friend. I don't know where you get that idea from.
I'm just curious about 2 things:
1) Why it is that so many writers (either wannabe-writers or proffesional-writers, I don't care) gather on BSN?
2) How can it be that the basic writing 101 that I learned last semester contradicts everything I've seen in ME3? Does that mean ME3 is badly written? Sure seems so to me.
I mean I get it that as a writer you sometimes need to think outside of the box, outside of the rules, but if you're being too creative you can potentially make a big mess of your story. I wonder what went wrong during the production of ME3. I wonder why ME3 seems to be so different from ME1 and ME2 in so many ways. Could it really be it's because Drew Karpyshyn left the team?

Good to hear. Even if you would just eat less meat (instead of stop eating it entirely), that would already be a good step in the right direction. Every small bit helps you know.

'Tis all the same to me. When I said I'm vegetarian I meant that I don't eat fish too.

I would agree with this.
I'm not a writer per se (I read geography (WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY) at uni despite being a geologist at heart) but I do like to write stuff. I think being empathatic is why I believe in the IT. I put myself in their shoes and think "writers write, these writers have backgrounds in psychology etc." I think this makes more sense in a logical way I guess...
RAMBLE RAMBLE RAMBLE sorry
That's really how I take it, too.
Doesn't mean the developers, coders, and writers are infallable, but it does mean that I don't take 'Bad Writing Theory' as the automatic truth.

Well when I said "self-proclaimed writer" I really meant anyone who's either writing as a hobby or anyone who's training to become a writer (but isn't a professional writer yet). Basically anyone on the BSN who calls himself a writer, be it a hobby writer, a professional writer or a writer in training.

I dunno, they like stories and the possible symbolism, messages, and themes they contain or may contain?
When I meet CoD fans, there's a large number of them in the military or wanting to be in it.
