@Heretic_Hanar: It's cool to disagree and thanks for respecting my view. I see no reason to try to convince one another we're wrong since that debate is everywhere and I'm sure your reasons are absolutely justified, but high-five for a fun and peaceful game of brainball between two opposing views! It's good to know it can be done on this forum... :D

In other news, I'm a huge sap, so I'm watching all the romance scenes and some things are really interesting. I may be wrong, but so far it seems that the only dream sequence that ends on a gasp is the Traynor romance scene (and I of course compare it to this breath). But all the other ones, fem and male Shep alike, have an animated gasp but no SFX; this glitch makes me sad because it unintentionally lessens the implication of the Destroy breath.

And also, I'm sure this has been mentioned, but a cool Tali line:
Shep: "Is that how we survive? Adapting?"
Tali: "To cold or interspecies contact? Yes. To the Reapers? No."

Still a loyal FShep/Kaidan 'shipper, now and forever. Derp.

I've played ME1 30 times and Kaidan has survived Virmire once.  I was romancing him that time because I planned to romance Garrus in ME2, and I can easily handle dumping Kaidan but dumping Liara is awful.

Anyhow, in ME3, FemShep called Kaidan her brother, which seemed odd to me. Its probably a good thing she doesnt have any brothers if thats how she thinks brothers work.

Remember, the child does not exist.  He is just an illusion caused by the indoctrination process.

It is one of the many lines in ME3 that made me facepalm.

Ending foreshadowing? Perhaps. But regardless, It's stupid to say that you shouldn't adapt to the reapers. Wars are only won by adapting your strategies to those of the opponent. Be flexible. Be pro-active. Be always one step ahead of your enemy. And when all things go to hell, adapt, rethink your strategies and try again!

It's how you win chess. It's how you win most Real Time Strategie games. It's how you win a war.

Thiat is one of the things about IT I still have been unable to grasp. I get that the Catalyst uses the child's image to seem less threatening and influence Shepard, but I cannot see how the boy on Earth is not there.

But "adapt" in the Tali scene is used with the implication of physical and synthetic adaptation, since Tali is talking about her suit. I'd agree with you if 'adapt' was used in such a way as you define it, but to adapt to the Reapers doesn't *only* imply adapting to their ways of battle strategy -- it means adapting to their theory of cyclical annhilation, or, like TIM did, to their conceptulization of themselves as all powerful entities. That's why in the very next lines, Tali tells Shep he's doing the right thing in getting military forces together.

But the soldier loading people on the Kodiak waits until after the kid climbs aboard before banging on the shuttle for the door to close.

That is simply not true.  One soldier is actually looking at him. Besides that, he is the last guy getting inside the ship. They're actually waiting for him to get on board. After the kid is in, the door is closed and the ship is signaled to take off.

He also waits an unnecessary few seconds for the kid to look up at Shepard in the Normandy. Not impossible he's waiting for the doors to close, and not the kid himself.

I don't think that you have to think the kid is a hallucination to agree that the ending is a hallucination. I'm still on the fence about that kid. I'm leaning towards thinking he really is there in the beginning... then the vent part gets a little weird... I'm okay with him climbing ladders super-speed and going into locked doors, and I'm even okay with him getting to the shuttle super fast.

But I guess this is all because I have no problem believing my Shep would be upset at the death of that little squirt, to the point of him entering her nightmares. Hell, I cried when that kid died.

Except one of the soldiers DOES look at him (not that one particular soldier next to the door though). Pay attention and look at the details.

Do you really think it takes THAT LONG to close a door? Not even metro, train and bus doors in 2012 take THAT LONG to close. So surely a spaceship from the future can close its doors faster, right?
