Remember, the child does not exist. He is just an illusion caused by the indoctrination process.

Pfff, Renegade for life
Thiat is one of the things about IT I still have been unable to grasp. I get that the Catalyst uses the child's image to seem less threatening and influence Shepard, but I cannot see how the boy on Earth is not there.Dwailing wrote...

It is one of the many lines in ME3 that made me facepalm.
Ending foreshadowing? Perhaps. But regardless, It's stupid to say that you shouldn't adapt to the reapers. Wars are only won by adapting your strategies to those of the opponent. Be flexible. Be pro-active. Be always one step ahead of your enemy. And when all things go to hell, adapt, rethink your strategies and try again!
It's how you win chess. It's how you win most Real Time Strategie games. It's how you win a war.

then theres the warning signs
and the third dream, shepard sees himself embracing the child, and they both burn. in other words dont trust him

He also waits an unnecessary few seconds for the kid to look up at Shepard in the Normandy. Not impossible he's waiting for the doors to close, and not the kid himself.

Except one of the soldiers DOES look at him (not that one particular soldier next to the door though). Pay attention and look at the details.then theres the warning signs

That's not how I intepretated the dreams.
