Speaking of Zaeed, I found this lovely bit in the dialogue files. Never heard it in-game though even though I always save the workers and let Vido escape. Maybe bugged, maybe just a pain in the ass to get to hear. Either way, probably not a lot have seen it and it's worth seeing.

Zaeed: I had Vido to hunt down after he got away from us on Zorya.
Zaeed: Cost me nearly everything I'd made to track him down, but I did it. Found him on Suns base inside a colony.
Zaeed: Hired some men. Stormed the place. Blew up the shuttleport first, this time.
Shepard: So what happened to Vido?
Zaeed: Vido was holed up in a tower with nowhere to go. I was close. We could hear Vido panicking, screaming orders.
Zaeed: Then this shadow fell over everything. Damndest thing, hearing a battlefield go quiet like that.
Zaeed: Bet you can guess what happened.
Shepard: The Reapers...
Zaeed: Yeah. Completely tore up the base. Bunch of Harvesters scooped up everyone in sight.
Zaeed: Saw one grab Vido. Can still hear the bastard's scream. He tried shooting, but the gun fell out of his hand.
Zaeed: Then he looked straight at me. Finally saw me. Begged me to shoot him.
Shepard: What'd you do?
Zaeed: I walked away.

That is an absolutely badass bit of dialogue. Magnificent.

Have you guys read this thread yet? It's a pretty good read and it brings up some very good points in favor of IT.

http://social.biowar.../index/13419372

Sorry I don't know how to make the link clickable :/

I did, it really irritated me that people treated it like this is somehow seperate from indoctrination theory, and that the OP treated it like these were his original ideas, when it's largely a compilation of what we've all been saying for months.

It is well written though.

I wasnt really paying attention to what other people said but i didnt think so. It is pretty much exactly what you guys have been saying this whole time, but it was kinda nice to have it all in one place like that. I mean theres 3 threads for this theory now and theyre all huge so not alot of people are going to be able to sit down and read everything you all have said. I've been reading through these ever since i finished the ending and im sure there's been a TON of stuff i missed. I just thought it complimented what you nguys have been saying very well.

Oh yeah absolutely, it's a very nice summary of some of our points.
Maybe byne should add something similar to the first post in this thread...

Well the main question is does the Leviathan have plans for Shepard?

Well it'd be a very short DLC if he just told shepard to go away and kept hiding underwater...

Since the thread's at a slowdown, here's something that caught my eye. In Revelations, for a very brief chapter you're at the point of view of a batarian Blue Suns. He's your typical terrorist slaver bag of crap batarian and he thinks back with disgust to when the Blue Suns started letting humans join.

But... Zaeed and Vido founded the Blue Suns and eventually it was humans who let batarians join, not the other way around. I'm sure they just forgot that passing remark in the novel when they wrote it, but wouldn't it be a kicker if it turned out Zaeed was full of crap about everything?

Since Revelation was made before ME2  even was announced, it's possible that it's just an inconsistency or plothole.

My sentence structure would fail building code inspection but that's what I meant by "I'm sure they just forgot that passing remark in the novel when they wrote it", it meaning Zaeed's character and backstory.

The rule with the ME series is: If in doubt, the games are priority.

It'd be awesome if it turned out Zaeed was just the Blue Suns' janitor or something, and was making up everything.

This is now my Zaeed headcanon.

Well maybe it was Zaeed and Vido that started the blue sons to be a gang not a terriost group. And it's possible that when the Bataians left the Council they also left the blue sons because Zaeed kicked them out and recreated the blue sons in his own mimage.

Really enjoying the novels more than I expected. Or at least, novel, as I'm only on Revelations. I started out just looking for IT clues since some could be hidden, especially with Paul Grayson.

Speaking of which, I have to wonder at the affects of the Arca Monolith on Jack Harper and Saren. Neither one was a clear Reaper slave immediately but is it really coincidence that they both wound up having the same "ends justify the means, no matter how terrible the means" mindset? I suppose it's possible they were both like that naturally but we see very little of either before their contact with the Monolith. And look at how they both end up. I wanted that batarian to suffer, and you guys know me, I'm a hateful bastard. But I still felt sorry for the four three eyed cretin by the time Saren was done with him. I don't think I need to get into Harper's crimes.

Uuuuhh...

I'm testing if the IT is dead in a pretty unorthodox way, you could say.

Although, that's not really true.

I've started writing a script for the visual novel. You can see my posts in the IT group, if you'd like.

Hey, blaster.

Yeah, I've been on a trip to a place with no wifi and no cell phone service. Well, my family says it's a vacation, but I say it doesn't count as one unless you can have regular contact with the outside world. : /

But anyways, I'm back now and will be posting with more frequency. :)

I know it may be older news, but I wanted to address that whole "serve us" issue.

What we know for certain:
Bioware said the "Serve us" sound was a generic reaper sound effect and not dialogue
The sound does in fact appear in the background
Harbinger makes that sound right before he uses his beam
Indoctrination effects are described using musical and audio terms such as "sour, yellow note"

What a large number of people agree on:
It sounds like the reapers are saying something like either "Serve us" or "Save us"
Without further elaboration, "Serve us" seems more consistent with Reapers than the latter.

Taking this all together, it appears to me that a simple way to integrate all of these points is to view the "Serve us" sound as something generated via the Reapers' indoctrination signal. That signal may be producing that sound subconsciously within Shepard's own mind. It technically would not be dialogue then, and the "sound effect" label would take on another level of meaning.

Glass and home run you don't kill threads, because that's not your quality. Me I cause the most off topic depates to get everyone back on track. So it's me that caused the thread to go dark.
