So I'm back to the "I want to believe!" stage.. But I just can't see them re-ECing the EC endings.
Leviathan, various other story DLC.. 'Saving throws,' I've seen them called.. But, even after doing those side missions, you'll still get beamed up to the Citadel to confront (conform to?) Starbrat..

The Leviathan DLC adds dialogue with the kid, all the DLCs will most likely add to the ending. I even had that idea before the Leviathan leak

I see them doing one of two things:

-Adding more and more IT hints, and reasons not to trust the kid, etc, then have a big reveal DLC that happens after Shep wakes up.

-Adding more and more IT hints, and reasons not to trust the kid, etc, to the point where a proper clarification DLC just isn't required.

I'd obviously prefer the former, but I see either as very possible.

I... did not know this. Not that I've been following as avidly as before. That's potentially brain-melting. Do you happen to have links, or should I try to dig through MkII? Not enthralled by that prospect, I must say.

I highly doubt we will get another "EC"

That said, the EC was never planned, and in all honesty, I doubt they planned on changing the endings as they stood at all. The EC is fanservice, plain and simple, to keep the people who were upset about the endings from being more upset.

That said, this is a BIG franchise. One EA is pushing hard. You KNOW they're going to do a sequel, how could they not? They made too much money not to.

IT will not be revealed in ME4, or in an extended extended cut.

It'll be The Arrival 2.0, DLC meant to bridge the gap between the events of ME3 and ME4.

Depending on how you view it, the ending was changed in the EC. I mean if you consider it as a monolithic piece of work.

Been lurking since Mark one, and thought I'd actually take the opportunity (now I'm somewhere near the right bloody page, you guys go too fast!) to say hi. And there is something that's been bugging me for a while now.

The Thorian. Someone linked it a few pages back, and it hanging there looked for all the world like a Reaper hovering. We know that via airborne spores it can infest, influence (albeit crudely), and outright control (Thorian Creepers) organics. I'm wondering if this could be seen as a prototype - these things used to roam the stars, after all, enslaving everything they came across. Sound familiar?

So, either this thing has been about long enough that the Reapers once saw them as a threat, and copied their methods, while improving on them, and, significantly, rendering themselves immune to it's depredations. Or, and personally this is where I lean, the Thorian is the bioweapon that the Reapers are based off. Given Leviathan is close, just wanted to throw this out there (and say hi) before it drops.

Doesn't necessarily mean that there's big news coming soon. But for some reason they made quite a big deal out of Overwatch, even though it had pretty easy goals.

We've all gotten annoyed at that thread today. Especially the people saying "I hate IT but this is great" even though it's the same dang thing. You made a good speech though.

He said 'death of a thousand cuts' and then 'we still need to deal the other 999'. It was a colourful way of saying 'we won the battle but not the war'.
