As for those signs, unless Cerberus reprogrammed their computers then they shouldn't be using a human Alphabet!

That depends on who the predominant force is that "discovered Omega" is

The wiki only says:  Thousands of years later, nature did what even the Protheans could not: a collision with another asteroid broke Omega in half, exposing its trove of element zero for easy mining.  A rush ensued as corporations and private individuals tried to strike it rich on Omega, and thieves and outlaws followed in their wake.

but doesn't say which race colonized Omega first

The book Retribution heavily implies that Omega is actually of Reaper origin, just like the Citadel.

I'd figure something was up with it anyway since its origin story is incredibly stupid.  The Protheans wanted to mine out that asteroid but it was too hard to mine through.  Now let's factor in two things: 1) Element Zero is the only fictional element in ME, meaning that the asteroid was made of something we have here on Earth.  2) The Protheans' tech was OMGWTF.  They sent a star into supernova at will.  Any culture that can do that could cut the hardest materials on Earth like melted butter.

Indeed.  The only plausible reason the Protheans couldn't get at the Eezo is if they didn't know it was there, and the collision just opened it up and revealed the contents.

But wouldn't eezo show up on scans?

[/i]2. Great points. I forgot they could do that with stars. And some people on this forum actually say this cycle is more advanced than them. Posted Image We're really not even close to as advanced as them.

Since we were talking about the protheans dominating, I suppose this is a good time to be on top of the page. Posted Image

Wait, what?  How could they think that?  The most advanced race currently is the Asari, due to Prothean technology they've kept to themselves - and even then they've not unlocked all their secrets!

Heck, Humans are probably the least technologically advanced of the 'major' races of the Galaxy (i.e. the ones with their own spaceships).  The Asari and Salarians are definately leaps ahead, the Turians have had a lot longer to perfect their rugged and reliable technology (likely with help from the Salarians and Volus as well), the Volus seem quite advanced but not interested in warfare, and the Batarians are equivilent to Humans but again have had longer to develop (and had a derelect Reaper to study...).

All Humans have are numbers and cahoonies.  And mostly cahoonies.

Edit: And yes, I called the Volus a 'major race'.  I retract that statement.

I keep telling you that's not true. Literal Theory has a climax and an epilogue, while IT has a climax without an epilogue. The IT climax is a mind battle with Harbinger, that's pretty epic and climax worthy.

ME3 in its current state would be what Mass Effect would be if they never made ME3 at all. ME2's story has a climax and ending, but the overarching plot remains unresolved. Same here.

Edit: Byne is also correct.

Well Mass Effect 2's ending wasn't until Arrival I believe, which was released a year and a half after the game shipped.

Mass Effect 3's ending could be the same. The final DLC is the actual ending.

I would agree that the ending was the climax of the story.

For a while, the page quote for Gainax ending was "Lots of speculation from everyone!"

Some of my prophecies have come true. Like the one where I was in school 11 years ago, and I wrote something about working in an office for an assignment and in that assignment I may have been off by a year, but it was pretty darn close. I do actually volunteer in an office regularly as of this summer.

It's called "clarevoyance". In plain English, it means predicting something before it happens.

Not really. Nor did we expect much. There were some good lines about doing what's necessary and the like though.

So shepards still tooting that horn. Odd that he then (for many players) turns on a dime and synthesizes the galaxy then.

Very. I'll stick with this thank you very much:

Because talking about it is nice and all, but actually following up on your words with actions is different entirely. Most of them may not realize that.

@mwmike- Star Wars III is actually fun. It's a mix of Lego Star Wars and Lego RTS base building. I don't like the TV show Clone Wars and that's what took me so long to get this but it doesn't have the TV show feel if you don't mind the episodes themselves. Each episode you play like any other Lego game but outside that you can do space missions - easy, and ground assaults - some are easy and some are tough. Once you get the hang of it and find the right vehicle to get you started it gets easier (cause its timed 15-10 minutes you have).

The only Lego games I didn't play was the two Harry potter games. The only one that was horribly buggy was Lego batman 2. Omg. I would drive vehicles around then the game would freeze up. Other random glitches would happen. I was like what the? They could have done that a little better

EDIt-  here's to a Lego version of the Mass Effect Trilogy. I would so buy that. Especially if all the actors/actresses that were in the game were in it.

Did we succeed at the group Allied goal?

Operation: PRIVATEER (November 23rd-25th)

Cerberus’s hit-and-run attacks in the Terminus Systems have tied down a disproportionate number of local fighting ships and operations. We can spare only a small, elite force to eliminate the enemy. This force has the secondary objective of analyzing and finding a weakness in Cerberus’s kinetic barrier technology, which is key to bringing down large-scale hardened barriers.

Individual Goal: Earn 50,000 points versus any enemy with shields on any map, at any difficulty. Points are cumulative across matches. (Cerberus Centurion, Cerberus Engineer, Cerberus Engineer Turret, Cerberus Nemesis, Cerberus Atlas, Reaper Marauder, Geth Rocket Trooper, Geth Hunter, Geth Pyro, Geth Prime, Geth Prime Turret, Geth Prime Rocket Drone, Geth Bomber)

Allied Goal: Complete 50,000 cumulative total extractions of Batarian, Vorcha, or Turian characters.

Special Circumstance: None

Individual Goal Success: All individual players awarded a Commendation Pack and Corsair banner

Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack and the potential max capacity for Ops Survival Kit will be increased to 6.
