I guess giving Wilson a skill tree named "Douchebag Traitor" was kind of a spoiler.

Wilson was working for the Shadow Broker, right?

Why does he wait so long to betray Miranda?

Why not just do it right off the bat when Shepard isnt able to escape?

He worked for the Broker? I always figured he was just an unexplained excuse to have a fight right after Shepard wakes up...

He probably was at first, until everyone wondered what the hell was up with him, so BioWare put a passing mention of him in Legion's Shadow Broker Dossier.

Hey guys, I heard a Non-ITer say that Bioware somehow is tricking its fans into believing the IT, that the real ending to the ME3 is to indoctrinate the fans, and that this is why we are finding so-called "clues" in the game.
I had to stop and laugh at this.
I mean, I'm an ITer, but I don't believe that BW ever planned the IT, at least not in the way we fans have presented it. Yet, I still advocate that BW use the IT as their real ending.
But, for BW to have planned a mass indoctrination of its fans into believing the IT is plain ridiculous, especially since they abandoned the ME lore and themes at the end.
What do you guys think about this?

Sorry I'm not a native speaker, what does have a wipe mean?

I am a native english speaker, and I have no idea what the hell masster is talking about.

I see why google wasn't helpful.

Well that's certainly an odd choice. I still think it means Coats may have been a squadmate though. In fact, as I was playing ME3 for the first time, I figured at the end I would have Coats and Anderson as squadmates, or maybe Coats would betray you and Anderson would kill him/boss battle. I really thought Anderson would be though, I mean, he has his own upgrade tree for 5 minutes Posted Image

Found one , geez femshep in Italian sounds scary.

Thanks. I actually have a crazy theory about this now. Put on your tinfoil hats! So Coats replaces your VS if you kill them. It's interesting to note that he replaces them specifically and no one else. If you don't have Javik, or Garrus/Tali were killed during the suicide mission, they are all replaced by generic marines. Not the VS though, weird right? Javik doesn't count, because he's a DLC, Garrus/Tali both die in the suicide run, but not the VS. Back to that in a moment.
In has been theorized that Coats (obviously indoctrinated) is actually a Cerberus agent and not a reaper one. I think this actually holds more weight and is more interesting. Wouldn't it be awesome to fight him?
Anyway, the if you kill the VS they die defending a Cerberus agent (Udina). That's the only direct connection I see between Coats and the VS. So, if assuming Coats was going to be a squadmate, he would replace someone else who defended Cerberus.

When I didn't have Javik, Coats was there, not a generic marine.

Did you have the VS?

I always had the impression that Wilson was unwittingly working for Cerberus, or was a scapegoat.  The entire Lazarus project team got wiped out (and the station gets scrubbed later according to the mission reports) except for Jacob, Miranda, and of course Shepard.  When the mission ends, Miranda smiles and says that Shepard has passed his first field test, or something to that effect.  Miranda also kills Wilson before Wilson can say anything that might elaborate on what was actually going on.  The whole thing is fishy.

Remember, the station comes under attack with Shepard lying on a table, clothed, and free of any life support machines or sedative IV's.  That's no coincidence: it was time for Shepard to wake up.  And then there just happens to be weapons nearby and Miranda just happens to be on the comm to give him instructions the moment he wakes.  It's just too convenient.

I believe that BioWare planned IT from the beginning.  The Final Hours app confirms that they had some kind of indoctrination planned, and I doubt that they would completely scrap that in favor of the completely frakked up ending that we got.

Jenkins had it too, every ME game has somebody with a skill tree at the beginning.

But I think Jenkins just had the generic soldier skill tree. No special Jenkins-only skills.

Then i think i didn't notice,i didn't pay much attention to Anderson's and Wilson's skill tree after all.

Prime also when the Collectors took everyone in ME2, except Joker. Wouldn't have been easier to destroy the Normandy so that Shepard can be stoped from going to the omega 4 relay.

Well, it was before I played the first two games, so Ashley my default and she was alive.

And Masster, VS=Virmire Survivor (Ash/Kaiden)

A agree for a lot of reasons. The one I am thinking of right now, is something like: they don't write as they go. If they were pressed for time, they would have changed or scrapped something less important than the endings.

Never thought of that. Probably either a plot device, or Harby setting a trap.

Rlf sort of has a point though. I mean, Ash and Kaidan have good characters, but Horizon and all of ME3 sort of mess them up.

EDIT: And sorry about the Pyramids, Banshee. I just feel like I have to rush responses in this thread, so I don't bother editing then quotes out.

....no.... the Reapers were still on the ship when EDI took over.  The Normandy's destruction was all but assured.  At most, the Reapers would have used it as a trap to lure Shepard in after they realized he wasn't onboard, but Joker and EDI thwarted them.

If you mean the Reapers shouldn't have boarded the Normany at all, well, I disagree.  The Normandy was dead in the water, the Collectors vastly outnumbered the crew of the Normandy, the Collectors don't care about their own casualties, and Shepard was considered to be prime material for capture.  Boarding the ship and carting off everyone inside fits logically.

It should also be noted that your VS has a tree for one mission before getting knocked out of the game for the next half. So Anderson returning as a squadmate would be like that. Anderson as a squadmate is just too awesome to pass up. Posted Image
