Not really. Nor did we expect much. There were some good lines about doing what's necessary and the like though.

So shepards still tooting that horn. Odd that he then (for many players) turns on a dime and synthesizes the galaxy then.

Because talking about it is nice and all, but actually following up on your words with actions is different entirely. Most of them may not realize that.

Characterizations (shepard) under pressure reveal their true character (shepard) - so I don't like how he so easily choses to synthesize the galaxy, its not very good to reveal that about your hero in the last few minutes.

Eh.  Judging by the examples given, I'd say no.  Xenogears, some of the Final Fantasys, pretty much everything I knew of in the examples wasn't even remotely close to ME3's ending.

And the ME3 exampling is done by one of those mouthbreathers that was actually satisified by EC.

Examples may be terrible but description of Gainax ending fits.

I've seen edits of the final shot from Evangelion to put Shepard's face everywhere to make it a literal gainax ending.

It seems whoever leads the ME editing on tvtropes is an EC fan because it happens in every page about bad endings and such.

so....... had another thought last night while afk. what if..............the final DLC is take back earth multiplayer style? shep is elsewhere while the troops of the alliance battle through london via multiplayer... triggering a boss battle against harbinger? (we saw harbinger fly off. was it to take on the might of 'us'?) bringing us into me3's final confrontation?  we're the ones who 'rescue' shepard as he takes his breath?

Derelict Reaper was in Hawking Eta afaik.

So, a crazy idea, but maybe the defunct mass accelerator is located somewhere on Etamis or Atahil? These two planets were colonized by a now extinct species and in the same cluster the derelict Reaper was killed by that mass accelerator...
Maybe we find info about the Crucible there?

Actually the shot that hit Klendagon is the same which took out the Derelict Reaper and Cerberus supposedly found the weapon, though it was completely destroyed.

Despite claims cerberus found it destroyed it seems like a major chekhov's gun. Giving us a dead reaper and clues about it being killed by a big honking space gun but never properly following up.
