Yep. Cop-out. Just as I predicted. Shepard surviving High EMS Destroy always rips a hole in Literal Theory.

Is it really a cop-out.
It is just something that shouldn't really happen, but it does.

Literalists are funny.

really i just listen, and that's it.

The turret-scene *, shoot good and she and the soldier will be somewhat ok. There are changes in the dialouge with Liara too, I think.

* well I think it's the turret, because I do the same in playthroughs most of the time.

mind = blown....
Considering that that poor lady died in all of my ME3 playthroughs only shows what a bad shooter I am...
Funny to see that you can learn something new about the game even after months!
And with this, I'll go offline for today.

I find it hard to believe, the longer you resist something the more it will hurt.
You simply can't say you don't care, if you did you would be better than anti enders.
What makes you better than anti enders in controlling your emotions?

Because I really don't care. It's a game. This is a theory based on the story in a western visual novel. I only see it as such. I'm not emotional about it because I have nothing to lose. I know that if I'm right, I made the right choice. If I'm wrong, then big deal. I misinterpreted what Bioware was saying.

Synthesizers and Controllers though, like Seival and Ieldra2... I can imagine some of them needing therapy afterwards if they are wrong. It's going to sting like hell if they are wrong. Me though, no skin off my back. Revise my opinion of Mass Effect and Bioware and move on, as I've said. Maybe it doesn't make sense to you, but I don't see that as something I am obligated to do for you.

To find out why people believe in these theories with a passion despite nothing indicating the implementation of such a theory within a reasonably timeframe of the games release.

Question: For everyone in this thread.

Do you head canon Indoctrination in the ending?

Nothing indicates the possible implimentation of the theory? Its like you skipped straight here to insult us without bothering to check out the links on the front page.

Give 'im a break. Let's not get defensive too quickly. TheProtheans seems curious, which is good.

Guess you missed the delusional comment and the almost inevitable cult accusation lol

ive only been posting in this thread for about a week and a half, so far no one from here strikes me as unreasonable, far from it in fact. only the people who come in claiming we are deluded (and in your case claiming we are a cult LOL) have been the ones to give off a bad impression of this thread. Out of curiosity what ending did you pick?

Yes, it is a cop-out because nothing organic or synthetic could survive being at ground zero of that explosion. In fact, I don't think you even thought through your answer at all.

The turret above the gates at the FOB, I think.  So that sequence actually has consequences?  That's a new one on me.  I guess I'll have to practice sooting husks!

What happens if you don't shoot any of them, I wonder....?

Doesn't it only trigger the first dialogue if you succeed, and the depressing second one never happens.

In the FOB there is a dialogue between an Alliance Med and a civilian, and it changes if you manange to shoot most husks and canibals with that stupid turret.

I simply don't understand how someone can look at something like synthesis and be all "Yep! That's TOTALLY what I want the universe to be like!"

I mean christ, even in Deus Ex the transhumanism, while beneficial to some is generally frowned upon, even Adam Jensen is quite unhappy with the fact that he's not all human anymore. Synthesis is just disgusting in every sense of the word.

I think they let EDI's little happy monologue get to them.. which stated already is very unlike EDI.. the same EDI who told us that the reapers are repulsive.

I don't get it.

I hardly remember the first ending I picked, I wasn't listening to the catalyst much so I didn't know which path did what.
I think I picked Destroy(without knowing it was destroy)

Second time I think I picked control.
While doing a replay for EC I think I picked destroy.

Again that makes no sense literally. How is Shepard killing a bunch of husks at the FOB supposed to affect the survival of the civilian when she's probably miles away?

The first step is admitting you have a problem
