I'm assuming my, "Carnipredifexator," moment falls into the Category of Moments That Make Big G13 Come Back Again and Again? :)

Good stuff needs work. Of course EA doesn't care about good stuff, they just want money, and lots of it.

Hate to break it to you, but that's how business works. If you don't make a profit, you go belly up. Every corporation is like that, otherwise they wouldn't be in business.

But let me ask you again: Do you support busines practices where they keep vital parts from the game, still charge 60 bucks for it and then try to sell you that vital part back, probably for 20 bucks?

I mean Day One DLC is one thing, but actually selling the ending of a series seperately? That's something new!  And I pray to Satan that it will never ever happen. The day that we'll have to pay extra for the ending of our game is a dark day indeed.

I take it you've never heard of Asura’s Wrath.

I indeed haven't. But honestly, summing up examples of games that might have done something as I just described certainly doesn't make it right. Selling incomplete games and trying to rip is off is a horrible thing to do. It's one of the reason why no longer buy ANYTHING from f*cking Capcom. :pinched:

I'll give you an incomplete game that sold out like crazy its first day. Minecraft. (then again, it is updated for free regularly; oh well)

I don't know what the f*ck you're talking about but I never had to pay that much for Final Fantasy III. In my country games have only become more and more expensive over the years.

And I think I'll go at least as much back as you buddy. I still remember getting a Gameboy for my birthday the same year it got released. I'm certainly not new to gaming my friend.

You mean those big giant gameboys? Those things were ****ing indestructible.

I left mine outside one night, and it rained extremely hard all night. The table I left it on got blown over and I found it on the ground in a puddle. Picked it up and turned it right on and started playing games.

Those were the best.

Yep those big grey bricks. I still have a couple of those lying around here. I actually use them to make music (chiptune, ever heard of that genre?).

You mean the Gameboy which was so indestructable that there was once a Gameboy that was burned and melted and still functioned just fine?  Yeah, that thing was awesome.  I just wish I was old enough to actually have frakking owned one!

Darn, I went the the Katawa Shoujo website to download it, and apparently they would rather not have people under eighteen playing it. Which is a problem, since I'm only sixteen. :P

You can disable the sex scenes, but they're already disabled anyways.

Indeed. And Knoxx actually gave everyone who bought Minecraft in the alpha or beta fase a crazy discount. And he used the money he made from those sails to continue expanding on Minecraft, FOR FREE indeed. Now THAT'S something I approve of!

The bigger question is, just how "adult" is this "adult" stuff?

Didn't FFXIII-2 come with a "pay extra for DLC ending" thing too? Or was that just a rumor because the ending was so asstastic? Not sure, never played it myself on account of the fact most people whose opinions I trusted that played it ended up clawing out their own eyes.

It did. And it was terrible in the sense that you already knew it was going to lead to another sequel without having to buy the dlc, you just ended up vaguely knowing what was going on with a different character while getting your heart crushed. Or at least I did. FF XIII-2 was one of those rare moments where Square actually listened to input on linearity in the game, gave you a bunch of different endings to obtain (paradox endings) and in turn, fans found other things to complain about. As per usual.

So "it was all just a dream" endings are genius endings these days? It stopped being genius after A Link To The Past did it. That's the only game that managed to pull of the "All Just A Dream" trope rather well.

Theres actually a flaw in the disabling the sex scenes thing, since it will disable the actual sex scenes, but there are certain times when the game uses a nude sprite, and that doesnt get disabled.

Whatever you say.  Games went down in price after everyone finally switched to optical media and Nintendo stopped anally raping the world with cartridge licensing fees.  (Burn in hell Nintendo)  FFIII/VI was admittedly the most extremely example but I'd seen but I saw plenty of games at $70 and the like.  They went back upto $60 standard in the last generation or so.  I'm fine with paying an extra few bucks if they pull off the greatest mindscrew of all time.

You mean Link's Awakening, which was so much retarded in one place it almost collapsed into itself.  Link To The Past was nothing to do with dreams, and actually a good game.

I keep telling people that EA just publishes Mass Effect 3, and that Bioware has pretty much full control over what goes into the game, but they aren't buying it. The Docs even said so.

Not sure if those people are indoctrinated or just being silly. I mean they did pick control or synthesis as said before, so who knows.
