You know that vendetta actually says so, right? That's also the reason why the reapers gained control of the citadel and managed to transport it to sol.

Although I don't really trust Vendetta, TIM going to the citadel seems like pretty solid intel. Especially in IT since there is no kid to move the thing himself... Why didn't/couldn't he do that? Posted Image

I'm surprised no one has noticed that as the Normandy makes its approach to Earth, every ship in the allied force is suddenly an Earth Alliance Dreadnought. Everything in CW Ep 3 is there for a reason. None of it is there purely for show, even in the credits. Same goes for the games themselves.

Keep digging, guys. Idle speculation is not going to figure out anything. Alliance M29 Grizzlies and breezy holes in to open space on Omega? Javik doesnt require a breather to survive on a Geth dreadnought with no atmosphere? There is a wealth of stuff still waiting to be uncovered. Stop looking at the obvious distractions and dig deeper.

Or you can just sit back, mired in idle speculation, and wait for the answers to be handed to you. You just might be waiting for awhile. Your choice...

First of all: You're wrong in saying that every ship becomes an alliance dreadnought. They're alliance cruisers, and you can clearly see turian and asari ships among them, and also the quarian/geth fleet, depending on your choice.

Do you even know what an M29 Grizzly looks like? Have you ever seen one? I don't think anybody has, as those transport trucks are not tanks, but transport vehicles.

You don't know if Javik not requiring a breather mask has anything to do with the IT. For all we know, he may be able to survive without oxygen. The protheans are too elusive for anybody to fell an accurate choice on that.

And above all: Who are you to say what the ITers should do? They can do whatever the hell they want. Not only does saying that every little oddity in the game helps the IT(Every game has flaws, Mass Effect is far from flawless, it's not a perfect game) wrong, but in the eyes of many other people, that could seem downright nutty.

Well, Vendetta certainly wasn't lying about the citadel having been taken to earth by the reapers. If TIM had sabotaged Vendetta, it could have set Shepard out on a wild goose hunt to the core of the galaxy. Most alliance ships would die immediately after crossing the Omega IV relay, and the remaining ones would easily be handled by the reaper fleet.

 Hey there

Just a couple of things I found while I was replaying the Trilogy.

Let's start with the funny one : Mordin's loyalty mission. Squadmate : Miranda. Remember the Krogan from clan Urdnot? Help him escape the lab, wait for a few seconds and...
Miranda : "Hopefully his story of curing the genophage will be passed off as a hallucination."
Yes Miranda. Thank you Miranda.

Now the "not so funny "one. I assume a large majority of the people around here are English native speakers?Well, my friends, you don't have the chance to witness the greatness of the French translation.
Their work has been a disaster from Day 1.
A little note before I start : I play in English with the French subtitles.

Save the Rachni Queen on Noveria and play the Rachni mission in ME3. Save the Queen (again) and once you're back on the Normandy, talk to Joker.

Joker : "So I heard you made some kind of deal with the Rachni Queen?"
Shepard : "Yes, she's been captured but she's ok. She's with us now."
Joker : "...Until the Reapers start to sing their sour yellow note or whatever."
So far, so good.

Until you read the French translation :
Joker : "Ouais jusqu'à ce que les Moissonneurs lui chantent un truc jaune ou bleu ou vert."
[English translation] : "Until the Reapers start to sing their sour yellow, blue, green note or whatever."
Yellow = Jaune
Green = Vert
Blue = Bleu

Gotta love the French subtitles....

OMG awesome! Good thing I speak french.

If we could just all agree to ignore them. It's not like they're making good points, and they're obviously trolling. Sup B!

Not much. Lunch time. Just had a partially original thought. Everyone said it made no sense for the Kid not to open the citadel in ME1. That's true. To add to that, why didn't he lock the relays in ME3? That makes no sense, since the only reason we could use them was because the reapers did not capture the citadel.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with TIM/Cerberus being on the Citadel. Of course if assuming everything is literal, where are all the ground forces (you know, the ones who took over the Citadel) when Shepard beams up. Only TIM is there? What if a whole squad made it up? There should be Reaper and/or Cerberus forces there to deal with it

I don't trust anything.  the reapers control everything in theory.  hell even javik could be a reaper plant. (only joking)  but you get where i'm coming from.  you only have to take what sovereign says as being the truth. I don't think that is tim with shep and anderson.  tim may have gone to the citadel.  we're talking IT and the supposition that shep is dreaming.  The battle is in sheps head after being knocked out by harbinger.

Really Hellish? You've made some great points in the past, so I respect you - but this is pushing it. Not everything we find is evidence for IT. Which doesn't matter, because we have more than enough anyway. It also doesn't matter because bioware will either do something with it or they won't. It doesn't matter what we do. Goodbye for now.

Who said I was talking about IT? In any case, if you feel I am "pushing it", then feel free to ignore me. If you're so certain that you have "more than enough" and have made your choice as to what to believe, I'm not sure why you're even reading my posts anyway. I'm sorry if it affects your opinion of me, but feel free to ignore me if you disagree with what I'm saying or how I'm saying it.

Hellish, I'd like to point out the fact that you too has stopped searching, content with what you have.

you still choose to ignore the fact that arrival may be completed before the suicide mission and even changes accourdingly to account for that fact - All they had to do to fix it from not fitting your version is make it only accessable after the suicide mission is complete.

And i'm not attacking your vision, and not disagreeing with you, just want to understant how does it fit with that fact?

TIms appearence in the dream sequence has special meaning as well. He is clearly different from the TIM he had a conversation with on Chronos Station. Is he a representation to shepard that actually indoctrination gets you in the end...no matter how hard you fight it? Anderson would then be representing helplessness. The inability to control your own actions.

Or just two sides of Shepards mind, the Indoctrinated and the Unindoctrinated struggling for control and Shepard, as in the Shepard we see beeing the decisive factor.

I always saw the scene as forceful Indoctrination, as in a representation of the Reapers trying to force Shepard's mind open in order to gain control. When taht approach fials (in that you kill TIM) they go for the subtler approach, trying to trick Shepard instead.

in A way I think the TIm scene is probably would could be said happened to most people, people who were not of as strong will as say Shepard, TIM or Saren. They merily succumb instead of beeing tricked, while with greater minds who can resist the direct approach the Reapers prey on their doubts and wishes to make the person submit willingly.

  The final choice.  a trick.  and its a cheap trick.  3 choices.  why would you believe anything this monster in front of you is saying?  unless you're indoctrinated that is?

Simple: Shepard is responsible for destroy's existence. The hallucination is reaper-influenced, but if it's in Shepard's mind, certain elements must be present. Said another way, Shepard went in wanting to destroy. Therefore, it must be there. Otherwise Shepard could not change his/her motivations.

Exactly, taht is my interpretation. Just as Anderson is there as Shepard's non Indoctrinated side, Destroy is there as his motivation, his purpose and thus the Catalyst paints it in a negative light.

Looks like this one is worth having more than one composer on it, with one being the main composer of the game. Sounds rather plot relevant to me!

While risking the possibility of them actually reaching the citadel and possibly even defeat them in battle.
Look, if the crucible is a trap, the galaxy is doomed. Not only would an all-out attack on the reapers spell certain doom for essentially everyone (Because there really is no way for them to defeat the reapers conventinally. The reaperss are stronger, have better tactics, and have more ships thany anybody else), but if it'd turn out that their only salvation, the weapon they've spent almost all their resources building, would be a trap, they might as well just shoot themselves in the face before the reapers come and get them.

ah yes..... where is the reaper? thats a good question. people have been taken for pulping to the citadel (app..... although i still think it's a transmitter not a transporter) and there is no reaper anywhere to be seen? (fwiw i think they are being taken elsewhere) yet we get the citadel, new areas of the citadel previously unseen, moving areas - like a puzzle, a huge area with a control panel once again previously unseen, and the elevator to heaven..........all in one area of the citadel which has never been seen before.... Oh and the fact that when shep is talking to star brat, he is stood with his head facing earthwards (he's upside down) so above his head is actually the crudible (if it really exists) so if anything fires anywhere it fires towards earth. (have a look if you dont believe me)

Ashley: So no light then?
Shepard No, but you have to remember...
Ashley: What is it?
Shepard: I've broken a lot of commandments. I do that "thou shall not kill" one like 50 times on a slow day.
Ashley: Shepard...
Shepard: And "thou shall not steal"? Do you think that applies to hacking an ATM in quarantine zone?
Ashley: :unsure:

I guess it's because in my playthroughs it was always Liara who waited for Shepard by the bathroom.
