The First Contact War was actually a short conflict with little to it. And there's not much emotional stake. The only significant part is played by Jack Harper, and who wants to play as TIM?

EAware will do like microsoft did with ODST and sell a Expansion as a full game

P.D: ODST was amazing

Anime. Where the human body contains 84 gallons of blood.

What's funny is that for many; the lesser the wound, the more blood lost. I want someone in an anime to get a paper cut to see what would happen.Posted Image

Well, another one of my favorite animes, Code geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, fits three of those four. Technically all four since Adult Swin is a different company than Cartoon Network, but share the same channel.

I can get behind that, Code Geass (both seasons) is a great anime.

Already watched them
Do you think they´ll make an anime of the prequel?

That's a good one, though thanks to Takahata 101 whenever i see it I think of the abridged series instead.Posted Image

ODST is my favourite Halo! It was going to be expansion-sized, but got bigger as they developed it, to the point where it was a standalone game.

Does anyone know how the reapers were planning to arrive in, well, Arrival? Were they coming through the relay or just entering that system manually?
Just in the former it means they either have another relay in darkspace or can pull themselves at active relays somehow (presumably the citadel has longer range)
In the latter I wonder why it took six months more travel before they reached another relay.

They were coming manually from what we know. As for the six months, there is some pretty huge distances between systems and not every system has a Relay (from what we know).

I suppose. We don't know how far into darkspace they were so can't really judge their cruising speed. It just struck me this morning as odd it took so long.

They are currently working on an inquel. It takes place between Seasons 1 and 2 and shows what happens in the Holy Brittanian Empire/European Union Conflict.

In the latter I wonder why it took six months more travel before they reached another relay.

They were going to enter the Bahak system manually and use the Alpha Relay as a way to get to every other system in the Galaxy. A quote from the Mass Effect wiki:

"Alpha usually sends and receives mass at the range of a normal secondary relay, but if certain controls are adjusted, it becomes powered by an unprecedented amount of dark energy that could send cargo to sixteen other relays and even across a great distance to the Citadel. The Batarian Hegemony has long been aware of Alpha's capabilities, but has covered them up to avoid retaliation by other races who would view the relay as a direct threat to their territories."

And it most likely took them 6 months to reach another Relay because of distance. Even by travelling at FTL speeds, it would take a LONG time to fly manually to a different system.

Indoctrinated Shepard should execute whoever their LI is, or just someone random if there's no LI.  And then get a short moment of control in horror and finish themselves.

I'm wanting DA:O level of variety in who lives, dies, fights you, assists you, whatever - with unique scenes for each charater.

really? didn´t know that, does that mean that if ODST wasn´t make into it´s own game, Bungie would have made another Halo besides Reach?

That doesn't say how they plammed to get to it in the first place, just what they'd do once there.

I doubt it, I think it was just going to be smaller originally, back when it was announced as Halo 3: Recon.

It led to some people complaining about paying too much for an expansion, when in fact it wasn't an expansion anymore.

Edit: "Bungie initially conceived ODST as a small side project to produce in the lull between Halo 3's completion and Halo: Reach... During development, the planned expansion grew in scope to that of a full-sized game."

Probably just FLT flight, like other ships. But probably faster.

Also a reason why destroying Relays isn't a good tactic to destroying them - they'll just jump out of the system and outrun the explosion. I doubt Reapers have the same safety limitations everyone else is cursed with.

Haven't seen the YT, but it sounds like the same damn ending as the original DE.

Its very similar, yes.  And apperently self-contained enough to not actually impact Deus Ex 25 years later.  But its visually stunning, and the music is on par with Mass Effect.

I would recommend anyone watching Jesse Cox's playthoughs though.  He's hilarious, bumbling, slightly OCD, constantly does silly voices but never detracts from the gameplay.  No idea how he manages it, but I love the guy to pieces.  He is also one of the few 'Let's Players' that actually completes games - so far doing:

Duke Nukem Forever (while getting progressively more and more drunk to numb the pain)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution + The Missing Link
RAGE (and actually raging at the ending...)
Skyrim (still not finished, 90 or so episodes in...  Infact is barely halfway through the main quest due to constant sidetracking)
The Witcher 2
Dishonored
Revelations 2012 (with his friend Wowcrendor - loving every awful moment of it)
Dead Space (not quite finished, but close)
Fahrenheit: The Indigo Prophesy
Saint's Row the Third
Payday: The Heist
LOTR: War In The North
Crysis 2
Anmesia (all while being taunted and made fun of for being a sissy by three female friends)

Just...fabulous.

OMFGCata/Jesse Cox is one of the very few Lets Players I'm subbed to.

I mean half of his videos are still useless to me, but there's nice stuff and he actually gives somewhat of a damn about the story in games.
