There's like a 25-year difference between the two games, though. It makes sense if you think about it.RavenEyry wrote...
I like the ending to HR, though it sounds thematically similar to the original Deus Ex, which I've not played. It's a pity it's a prequel and not a reboot because the end choice is devalued by it not changing anything in the sequel.

Eh. It basically says your choice didn't matter in the long run, and just happened via a different means.
Encourage an end to augments? It continues anyway.
Control augments? They rebel anyway.
Encourage more augment research? It happens regardless.
Make no choice? Happens anyway.

I remember reading that the Sinking Panchea ending was the cannon, for reasons i dont remember.
Also they could say that HR created another timeline and continue freely without the restrains from Deus Ex story, like the new Star Trek did

There's actually no canon ending as I specifically recall reading this from one of the game's writers in answer to a similar question on Eidos Montreal's Tumblr page. Destroying Panchea is just the most convenient way of ending the game which led some to assume it is canonical, but it really wasn't intended that way.Fur28 wrote...

I always preferred HR's refuse option because it's not the position of one man to decide the future of the world.
Thats the only ending i haven´t choose yet, mostly because i dont want Jensen to die
And the otherfoptions didn´t feel like Synthesis, so for me they were all okay

I hope it's an original film based on the themes and premise, because a direct adaptation of a choice heavy game is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
It´s like making a movie based on the ME trilogy
i dont remember many big choices in the game, aside from the ending. But well i just want to see all those augmentations in Live-action, and making it look like the E3 Cinematic trailer

I can't take credit for noticing that, it was pointed out to me, but yeah, almost identical. Bioware has a great sense of humour

It has the whole kill em or let em live thing, which changes the ending narration, so I'd call that a big choice.Fur28 wrote...

being that the producers will want a blockbuster they´ll want a "kill em all" with some stealth, althought it´s my style of play i understand how it would ****** some people off.
And you´re right it´s just stupid doing a movie based on a choice making game
Oh, the ME movie it´s advancing a little:
www.ign.com/articles/2012/10/24/mass-effect-movie-moves-ahead OCt.24
i just hope it´s based outside the trilogy, and that the writer being a ME fan helps a little

I imagine a low-death count movie might be preferable. There are too many movies with hundreds of mooks killed, so one with a merciful protagonist might be a breath of fresh air.
As for ME... That's simple. Maleshep seems more canon then Femshep (even though I think Femshep is more awesome) and they'll just take neutral choices for everything, and probably cut out any of the big choices (Virmire survivor) and have Saren commit suicide. Otherwise its pretty straightfoward to go full neutral.

At the end they will left important plot things out, and at the end they will come back to bite they´re asses, and create more plotholes than in the videogame
I´m looking at you Hunger Games

Aww yeah!
Anyways, for the music to make anyone want to cry, surely it would involve the main characters. Only way this can really happen is with post-ending DLC. Combined with the fact it's got 9 writers and 3 composers working on it...methinks it could be PEDLC, which means IT...probably
If not, meh
