Yes, all of what I said was opinion, except for the "actual consequences" part, that's just a fact.

I definitely agree with this statement. I felt like my decisions made a HUGE impact in the Witcher 2. I mean, it changes the pace and setting of the entire second half of the game... Hanar is right about that. I'm hoping that the  future of video games follows that model actually. I was hoping that Mass Effect was going to spear-head that initiative though. =(

That dreaded first-day DLC. Feels like part of the main game today.

That's because Javik was indeed supposed to be part of the main game, until someone at EA decided they wanted to make more money, so they altered Javik's plot so they could rip him out of the main story and sell him back to us as Day-One DLC.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. I mean, I wouldn't say the current list of DLC's have been very engaging or interesting, so based off the quality we've been getting, I'm a bit suspicious. And, lets be honest, all this hype is really self-induced. We honestly have no idea what will happen at all. Just that it appears to be big and has a bunch of writers and composers.

I think this might be ME3's last hurrah, but we don't know whether it will center around IT or the endings at all. Well I'm just saying, I wouldn't hold my breath on any of that.

Guys, I don't want to be a party-pooper, but honestly, calm the f*ck down and stay real for once. If you're going to get so worked up over something we know so little about your most certainly in for a disappointment.


So lets not blow this thing out of proportion. It's probably going to be a cool DLC, but lets not expect anything big until we have more info to go on. Keep your expectations low, that we you'll be less disappointed if it doesn't turn out to be what you hoped it to be.

Javik was originally supposed to be the Catalyst and he was supposed to point you towards the Crucible, not Hackett.

The vent kid was not called the Catalyst, but the Guardian in the original plot. I'm not sure why they changed his name from Guardian to Catalyst. It doesn't make much sense in my opinion.

Honestly with the theory that Shepard is actually the Catalyst, Javik may still be the Catalyst as well.  Just the Catalyst from last Cycle.

Might throw up an interesting parallel to Dragon Age: Origins where you can sacrifice someone else to achieve your goal.

Either that or the Reapers laugh maniacally when they realise they've finally got their hands on the thing they needed for the Prothean Reaper.  ...and then realise they threw away all the Collectors as disposable shock troops.  Oppsies.
