Oh yes, just like the IT would either be right or wrong when the EC was released, and look at what happened then.
That said, I actually do hope that the next DLC will be the IT DLC, but I won't get my hopes up. The last time I did that, I got the EC. Better to be pleasantly surprised than to be let down again.
EDIT: Top!

Well, it DID give us some nice extra clues and reaffirmed how weird several bits in the ending are.

The EC also fixed a lot of plotholes, or at least it tried to. It also expanded on- and strengthened the literal intepretation of the endings.

I hope we'll get a big multiplayer DLC somewhere in the near future. I care about the multiplayer more than I care about the singleplayer of ME3 at this point.
Really? I was really into MP during the summer, but since the new Collector DLC came out I've played one match as I've totally lost interest.
Could put it down to being back at uni...but I've been playing SP a bit and enjoying it more than I can MP

Hazards for the DLC map packs, maybe? Adjutants and Rampant mechs for Reapers and Cerberus? An entirely new enemy faction? (Alien Pirates/Mercs and Mechs?) I still want to see Harbinger voicing over the Collector matches instead of the pilot. Also, I'd like to see at least one multiplayer map with a Sovereign class Reaper stalking around in the background...Heretic_Hanar wrote...

Well I'm currently in the middle of 2 studies, I have more free time than before and I have plenty of friends who I love to play multiplayer games with. Most of them are (ex-)Mass Effect fans. Renegade players and Cerberus supporters like me.
It's fun to play multiplayer while also being on Skype with my Bloodbrothers, talking about... well, just random game-related stuff. ME3 MP is one of those type of multiplayers that is easy and relaxing to play while chatting on Skype.

I'm not talking about the absene of plotholes, I'm talking about FIXING plotholes. That's what the EC did. it fixed a lot of plotholes that were really major from a literal perspective.
To think that BioWare only fixed those plotholes just so they could "indoctrinate" us some more is just plain crazy.

That's false. It explained why your squadmates weren't near you (And instead put in another plothole), the catalyst tried to at least explain why things are as they are, and you also got to see what would happen to the galaxy in the future. Of course there still was context. The only part where there really wasn't much context was when you see Shepard take a breath, simply because Shepard should've been nothing but dust by then.dorktainian wrote...
all the EC made me do is feel sick. It answered nothing. All the slideshows were just for show. There was no context. Shep still took his 'breath'. and then............nothing
Just because you disliked it doesn't mean there's no context.

We have reason to be excited. All the writers working on a DLC has never been done before. ME's lead composer Sam Hulick has never worked on a DLC before (EC doesn't count). That alone means it's something big.

I'm thinking mini-game. Maybe Normandy Poker, or chess with Traynor... something like that.

How the hell was there no context? It's what the EC all about, giving context to the meaningless red, blue and green endings!
Before the EC, the multi-colored ending lacked context. the red ending was no different from the blue or green ending (except for the breathing scene). It was one of the major complaints about the endings. The EC fixed that. it gave us context to the color we chose. it shows us what happens after our final decision.

Bioware actually did multiple things with the EC. They expanded on and redeveloped the existing endings for those who wanted more closure (rather than having to simply fill in the blanks themselves). They closed some of the more prominent plotholes (Shepard's squadmates getting back on the Normandy etc), and at the same time they added some interesting little clues that made those looking beyond the literal interpretations squeak with excitement.
There's an old saying that you can't please everyone, and it's true. But Bioware certainly tried their hardest with the EC.
